SCAM...I got a call and said it is to reduce my credit card interest rate. When a person came to the phone he was foreign like from India. Broken english. I asked what this call was about and told him I do not have a credit card and he hung up on me.
Dan 2011-06-06 20:47:23 Unknown
Saw the number on Caller ID and did not pick up since I did not recognize it.
meaniemomma 2011-06-06 20:47:23 Unknown
did answer call and it was a robo call (illegal) at the end of robo lady option 1 -- talk to someone about promotions : option 2 -- take off list for further calls, which I pressed and sent me to customer service rep (mumbled) he immediately hung up when I said take me off list. I called back number and used that option. Will follow up with robo call problem though.

Robo named, "Heather" said that it was an important announcement to decrease my credit card interest as low as 6%. Out of curiosity, I pressed "one" to speak with the operator. I put the operator on speaker phone because my cordless was dead. I asked for the last four digits of the credit card to which he was referring. He asked me to get him off speaker phone. I explained the situation and he hung up on me.

Call from 402-982-0570, caller ID - EMC INC. I didn't answer. They left no message.

Got a call (didn't answer, saw on caller ID) from this number and wondering what it is. It said "credit services" on caller ID. It better not be any stupid crap cuz I, too, am on the do not call list!
ME 2011-06-06 20:47:23 Unknown
I called the number back and it immediately went to a recording that said thank you for the call back. If you do not want to be on our list for promotions, please press 1.
Morris 2011-06-06 20:47:23 Unknown
Just got the automated call, and like a lot of other people, pressed 1 out of curiosity. When I asked what company he (the guy speaking broken english) was with, he said Visa Mastercard Services. And I asked which banks he was connected with he said Capital One, City Bank... Then I told him that I was at work and needed to call him back later and asked for a direct dial number that I could reach him at, and he hung up on me...
Janet 2011-06-06 20:47:23 Unknown
Did not answer it as I have my house phone forwarding to my cell and didn't want to waste my minutes!
Joan Newsome 2011-06-06 20:47:23 Unknown
Phone number on my ID - no message but the caller ID says "CREDIT SERVICES" and I'm on the "Do Not Call List".
klb 2011-06-06 20:47:23 Unknown
Got a call from that number and didn't answer it. When I called back it said it was a company that gives special promotions and gave me an option to opt out. Hopefully, it will work. I am on the don't call list and I kep receiving all kinds of these calls. So much for that "do not call" list.
bobbie 2010-06-21 17:46:02 Unknown
The person on the other end claimed to be from a credit company on how to lower rates on credit cards.
Sue 2010-06-19 18:38:54 Unknown
This is what I now do when I get these calls and believe me it seems to be working. I figure if they want to annoy me it will cost them. If I do not recognize the number I just pick up and hang up without talking to them. After a while the calls will stop. I have reported these kinds of calls to the phone company and they told me there is nothing they can do nor the FCC can do...so, don't talk to anyone...just pick up and hang up. They will get the message.

sorry the not the(y) <sp>
Cyberchip 2010-06-18 19:33:09 Unknown
Be sure to enable *57 so they phone company keeps a record of the call.
Cyberchip 2010-06-18 19:31:39 Unknown
The best response, other than to dump them, is to tell them you don't discuss security if anyone over the phone. I can neither confirm or deny anything about my security and I certainly wouldn't discuss it with "unknown caller". If you want to pursue the violation, tell them you will only discuss it if you can call them. Ask for their number, call and verify who they are, and then Report them.
Sue 2010-06-18 14:49:30 Unknown
Just got a call from this number. I kept saying, "Hello? Hello?", but no one answered. Caller ID showed "Credit Services." We are on the Do Not Call Registry.
david gwynn 2010-06-18 13:47:59 Unknown
take me off your list
mrsruby 2010-06-17 21:33:51 Unknown
REPORT THEM to the Do Not Call Registry website and click FILE COMPLAINT.

This number came through my business 800 number and no message was left, but it did show on my logs as a missed call. Annoying.
elitha 2010-06-17 16:35:56 Unknown
I pressed 2 to be on the do not call list. Told them I wanted to be on the do not call list. I man with a thick accent got on and said he was going to call me everyday and wake me up every A,M and tell me his p***s size. I told him I was going to call the police and he kept repeating that he was going to call me to tell me his p***s size ever morning

Google Do Not Call Registry website and click FILE COMPLAINT. All you need is the phone number they called from, but other info is good. If enough complaints are filed, the government might do something. Also, call the Attorney Generals office for your state.
If it is a security system they are trying to sell you, they may be finding out if you have one so they can break in. Don't answer any questions. Do all the asking.
Also, you can waste their time by acting interested but keep asking a lot of stupid questions or ask them to hold on for a minute while you look some information up and then just keep them waiting until they hang up. They will probably call you back again and again, but it does help relieve some of the irritation sometimes if you waste their time as much as they are wasting yours and invading the quiet of your home.
mrsruby 2010-06-17 16:10:26 Unknown
Most times, those calls keep generating even after you tell them you are on a DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.
REPORT THAT VIOLATION on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY website. Get the phone number and every time a business calls you and you are on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, REPORT THEM. If enough complaints are filed, something might be done.
Also, you can call your State Attorney Generals Office and file a complaint. If it is a security system they are trying to sell you, it may be that by telling them you do or don't need one, you are letting them know how vulnerable your home is.

Got a call on 6/16/2010 @ 5:42PM. I didn't answer/they didn't leave a message. Showed on my caller ID as Credit Services. If I keep receiving these calls I will turn it in as my point of patience isn't very long these days. The # shown on my caller ID was 402-982-0570.

Re: (402) 982-0570, a call received in the Detroit area, Wed. A.M., Jun 06, 2010.
Frustrated about unwanted telephone solicitations? Remain calm.
A reasonable goal is to reduce annoying callbacks. For example:
If you have received an unwanted telephone call from (402) 982-0570,
you may call that same number to have your telephone number removed
from the telemarketer's solicitation database. You will be asked to "press 1."
When you enter "1," the system supposedly reads the number
of the phone line you are calling from, then automatically disconnects.
(Unfortunately, this is not explained, so the disconnect could seem rude.
Furthermore, depending upon the telemarketer, It can take
a variable and unspecified period of days before the calls cease.)
If the number you are calling from is blocked (by using "star-67" perhaps),
or if the number you are calling from is not the same
as the number that received the original solicitation,
or if the automated system ultimately failed its function,
then you will need to call the telecommunications facilitator.
In this case, call Bitstream Communications, Inc. , (402) 982-0200,
and choose the option to make a "complaint to TM Caller ID."
It is my understanding that TM Caller ID, LLC of Portland, Oregon,
is contracted by certain telecommunication companies
to serve as intermediaries to help process public contacts.
TM will accept your request to be removed from select solicitation lists.
Be nice. Keep in mind that TM employees didn't make the solicitation calls;
TM staffers are just trying to help you as well as their clients.
? ? ?
It's irritating that we have to endure these solicitations, then spend time
and long distance calls trying to make the intrusions go away.
We (especially shift workers and day sleepers,
and those of us who pay for call-waiting by the unit )
need more protective Do-Not-Call legislation,
including a central toll-free number to promptly opt-out of calling lists
used by specific currently-exempt political, charitable,
and so-called informational entities
who we ourselves determine to be nuisances.
Perhaps 800notes.com could help organize and champion our cause.

Calls with a machine. Promises to lower interest rates on credit cards by 6% LIMITED TIME!
This practice is illegal in the state of Maryland, I attempted to inform the phone monkey on the other end and he hung up on me.
If they call again, I'm calling the Maryland State's Attorney office.
This guy could save his own job, but he chooses not to.

Please can't someone stop the constant calling from these companies?????
Ali 2010-06-15 16:33:31 Telemarketer
I received a call from them this morning. The call showed up on I.D. as credit services and when you call the number back you can be placed on their do not call list whether or not that will stop the calls I don't know. We too are on the do not call list and unfortunately there are some "telemarketers" that don't have to abide by the DNC laws. What gets me is we don't owe any money to anyone and we didn't sign up for information on credit services so why are we being harrassed.
ACE 2010-06-14 21:43:18 Unknown
Probably our first mistake is signing up with "DNC" No not the Democratic National Committee (they have enough scamming problems) but Do Not Call--It just seems funny to me that as soon as you sign up with them these weird a--ed phone calls at least triple.
"Telemarketersmakemerich" has a good idea but we all don't have the time or patience to put up with that---I'm surprised this number has called me because as soon as I'm sure they are a--holes I foul language them until they hang up----STRIKE FIRST---STRIKE FAST----STRIKE OFTEN---Many of them never call me anymore--I know our parents taught us better but unfortunately theirs didn't.
