Got a call from this number. The caller left no voice message.

This number calls leaves a message they are reaching out to collect a debt but they never say who they are calling and leave a toll free number different from the number they are calling in on.  Scum bottom feeders trying to collect on debts way past statue of limitations and no proof it is even your debt!  Bottom feeders......dont't answer.

I love how these idiots leave messages, they never leave a name who they are trying to collect on.  We don't have any outstanding debts so I think they just make random calls and see who they can get to pay them.  If they don't leave a name, they won't get a return call.  Bottom feeders and sex offenders!!

These jerks wanted some information after calling me on my cell phone. The woman was rude. I have never owed anyone money whereby credit collectors had to call me. Theses people sound more like scammers. Very evasive. They need to find real jobs instead of stealing from law abiding persons. Someone, please arrest them and throw away the key. Thugs!!!!!

My X wife cleared all her debts when she left through a group debt management outfit called MMI and it cost her 9,780. bucks and four years of monthly payments. So I'm wondering why there calling me and for what reason.??
Perhaps I should seek professional advice like Elaine stated in her post?

These people called me on Sat. morning (2/15/2014)...a very rude woman telling me that she was going to garnish my taxes if I did not immediately agree to pay the collection agency that this number belongs to for a Master Card debt. I told her that I had no MC, and had not for over 25 years. I also told her that I know that my ex husband BANKRUPTED the MC that I was an authorized user on in 1991, and that I was not responsible for this debt for 2 reasons: 1) it was his debt and already discharged in a bankruptcy, and 2) it is a time barred debt (too old to collect) even if it HAD been mine. She became abusive when I told her point blank that I know what both state and federal Fair Debt Collection statute says, and that she had already violated it repeatedly in this one call alone. I asked for a Supervisor and she told me there was none. So, I made sure of my legal information and called back and spoke to a much nicer man who immediately told me that I would never hear from the company again as soon as I said the words "time barred debt". So, I thought, great! Then, first thing Monday morning, I got another call from them! Another rude woman who once again violated the law. She hung up on me before I could explain again. So, I called back and spoke to a Supervisor and then to the Supervisor's Supervisor. I told him in no uncertain terms that there were going to be legal consequences for his company in the form of a lawsuit in federal Court if I EVER receive another call, even a hang up call, fro them again. I let him know that they had already harassed me after being offered proof of the time barred status of this debt. He apologized profusely and sounded nervous after I threatened a lawsuit. I also let him know that if I ever DID owe a debt like this, I would refuse to do business with a third party, as is also my right under the law and that I consider his company to be nothing short of slimy to even try to collect a debt for a company that simply somehow bought a bankrupted debt from the original debtor for pennies on the dollar and was not going to pay any monies collected to Master Card. I almost hope they DO call me back again, as I will be on my way to file that lawsuit and make THEM pay ME.

They have called three to four times asking for someone who does not live at my address or is my phone number associated with this person.   I have answered it twice and picked the option that they have the wrong number but per usual they called today and instead of choosing the option that he doesn't live here I pushed 0 and spoke to a live person and advised her that they keep calling and I have chosen that they have the wrong number.  She asked me if I know this person to pass a message and I reiterated that I don't know this person,  never heard of him and that i have had my number for about 2 1/2 years.   She said she updated their system and I should not get anymore calls.  We shall see.
