I just received an absurd call from this #. It said that if was the final notice to lower my credit card rate, which I don't own a credit card. I pressed 1 to speak to someone to get my # off the list. Some guy gets on the phone saying its 1800-sextalk. I hung up on the a**hole. Does anyone know how # get on these list?

Call from this number that I did not answer.  Vmail left of a sound like a metal trash can lid being slammed down.

I have received numerous calls from this number with a recording saying to press 1 to be removed from the calling list. I have received calls on February 11th, 16, 24 and 26th. They are not abiding my request to be removed from their list. This is a cell phone and I pay for minutes.

Lady identified herself as "Monique"  I was very polite and asked her phone number; she hesitated and said 800-238-5357700  and then hung up
Obviously a bogus criminal enterprise since I am National Do Not Call. I have asked these peopleto take me off their list and they have been harassing me up to 10 times a day since then

I received a phone call on my work phone from the 402-982-0689 and my caller ID said “LOWER YOUR PAYMENTS” on it. The caller identified himself as “Frank” I believe and when I asked what credit card he was calling from, he replied rudely that he was calling from a company that worked with all of the major credit cards. He told me that I rec’d a letter stating how I could lower my interest rate. Then, he asked me if I would be interested in lowering my rate – I said “Yes, I would” and he made it clear that I had to “qualify” first and asked me what balance was on the credit card. I didn’t tell him and asked him instead, “What is the limit for being eligible?” He was frustrated and asked me again how much I had on my credit card – to which I again did not answer him. Then he very rudely said some figure in the thousands “with an 11% interest rate” and when I asked him to repeat himself, he said “Know what? Never mind ma’am” and hung up on me. Ha, guess I didn't qualify. ;)

So I found this number on my husband's phone. this and another number I checked out...thanks for easing my mind...debating whether or not I should call it myself...because its in his dialed call history...

Didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it. It didn't leave any message.

First there was a delay, Man came on line and asked to whom is he speaking with and my reply was " You called me, who do you want to speak with?" He said, " The primary cardholder of the credit card in my household." I replied, "No one in this household has a credit card." He immediately hung up.

Number called my phone. I looked up the number on this website. I called it back and pressed one to take my number off the list. I dont think it is going to work, but from the other comments that have been left on here, it sounds to me like these people are CALLING TO GET YOU TO READ YOUR CARD NUMBER TO THEM AND THEN THEY USE IT. They apparently are trying to make people believe they are creditors or something. Please watch out for these people.

Received a call from 1 402-982-0689 on our company helpdesk line. When i pressed 1 to ask why they are ghost calling our company the guy said I was ghost calling him by pressing 1, he called me an A@!hole and hung up. Total Scam.

IS THIS HAPPENING ONLY TO A CELL PHONE AND IF SO ARE YOU ON VERIZON OR ALLTELL.
FIRST IT STARTED WITH THEM HARRASSING MY 10YR OLD SONS PHONE AND NOW IT IS GOING TO MY PHONE. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW HOW THEY GET THESE NUMBERS

I am 14 years old, and when I tell them that they continue asking about my credit card. I don't have any credit cards!! They continue to call during school, or at 6:30 on sundays! Its so strange!!

Got the call on my cell today at 4:00 pm. I don't know anyone from area code 402 so didn't answer. Reading these other comments, I'm glad I didn't answer.

I get calls from these &#@)(*$&@)# every business day at 12 noon.   And this has been going on for about 2 months now.   The calls originate out of Omaha, Nebraska.   The press the number to remove your number from the list never works.   When you talk to someone, the minute they know you don't want to talk about lowering your interest rate, they hang up on you.   Not sure what good this will do, but I filed a complaint with the Nebraska Attourney General not to long ago.

These guys got my number off of a craigslist phishing scheme. They post a job ad that looks legit, tell you to send your resume. Sure enough, I got a reply to get me to sign up for some credit card reduction thing. It's the ONLY connection I can draw that would make sense..

keeps calling - it costs me money to recive these calls - where do they get the number from?

They call numbers at random, then record your responses. If you just ignore them, after a few calls they will stop. My advice is to simply ignore numbers you don't recognize. Don't answer, don't press one, don't call them back. The more you respond (in any manner whatsoever) the more calls you recieve.

I got a call from these guys. I read these and was prepared the next time which was today. I got a call. Told them I wanted to lower my CC debt. I told the lady my name was alfred. And gave a fake phone number (I thought it was weird she asked since they called me?) But then she asked "How much debt do you think you'd wanna transfer?" I told her about "1.2 Million" she chuckled and hung up. I'll let you guys know if they call again haha.

this number calls my cell phone! i am not sure how they got that number, but i have prepaid cell so i just don't answer it!

scam phone call. Pressing 1 to take number off their list is bu***hit - i did that and they just called me. I talked to a lady, who upon me saying that i wasn't sure that lower rates can benefit me, she hung up immediately. No identification other than "client service". This is a SCAM CALL free and clear. Keep it in your mind, if they call you again (which they will), do NOT do what they offer!

repetetive unwanted calls from this number. I've asked to be removed from the call list and they keep calling.  They refer to lowering credit card rates but they are not my credit card company.

They Call a few times a week, then stop for a few weeks, then it starts up all over again...  How do we stop this??
