Received some garbled message about being aware of something--sounded like a nut message of some kind. Like a warning and a heads up about something.

Calling about the "tea parties" going on the US right now.  Can't report it to donotcall.gov because they aren't selling anything.  Just ignore the call or if you have call blocking service from your phone company, just add the number to the list

"Service Message" had some incredibly important message about tea parties that are...  no, wait, already happened.  I laughed so hard as soon as he said it that it totally threw him off his script, and even hung up - that's not a recording, that's an actual person reading the same three sentences over and over.  Clearly some right-wing nutjob organization that truly thinks that they're starting a revolution with teabagging.  Congratulations, you look a little crazier with every call.

I just received a call from the above number.  It hung up after three rings.  Do they not have any respect for the people they are calling?  There are many people who are ill, or sleeping after working all night.  What good is getting on a "do not call list" if so many organizations claim exemption.

I agree with above Shirley, etc.  This # is on my caller ID listed as Service Message and also a 2nd ph #402-982-0660 (also Nebraska prob. related to same co.)  calls in evening.  I'm on do not call list and still gets thru.  not happy!

Political calls are legal. I used *60 to block them.

The message was mid-way as if a recording was ahead of my answer machine, "it's a demo of american's  thoughts about what happening in our government, please take notice today".

I answered, they  hung up. I called the number back. It says that the number is out of service. What good is caller ID when people can get fake numbers.

I did not answer per my habit of not answering if I don't recognize a number... I do search the many websites out there looking for info... I noticed this person has been on several sites, posting about this number copy/paste-like... I wouldn't trust this users words as far as I could toss him!
The don't-call-list regs apply to sales calls, not POLITICAL ones. So if in fact this is about tea parties (although I don't know why they would be calling AFTER they took place) then this organization/person IS within their rights. Please stay on topic and refrain from making half-wit political half-points.
