Caller ID showed, "HOMEYTEL INC". Research online shows dozens of complaints identufying this bunch as scammers and lowlifes. Already reported this call to KY Atty. Gen'l., for all the good it will do.

Just got a computer-generated call from Homeytel, Inc. As usual, I turned them into the national Do Not Call Registry.
I am beginning to wonder, though: does this actually do any good or am I/we just wasting our time and blowing off steam reporting them?
Does the National Do Not Call Registry actually DO anything?
I need to know.

Actually, I reported un-wanted telemarketers to the Do Not Call list and the unwanted calls have stopped. Later on the same day, the registery called me back, and told me it was some college kid trying to call what they thought was just an old friend.
I don't hesatate one minute useing the Do not call web site to report un-wanted calls. And guess what, I get very few un-wanted calls now. When I one does slip thru, I tell them I am on the list, oh how fast I hear a click of them hanging up.

The call came in and I answered. Was a stupid policital robo message. Caller ID stated "VITAL MESSAGE". What a bunch of crap. The candidate that was using this service is running for office in Oklahoma. Why was he using a company based in Nebraska to make his campaign calls? If I wanted to get elected in Oklahoma I would hire an Oklahoma service to make my calls. What a jack***.

Sorry guys; but you can't win... Unless someone shows up at their office & makes them 'an offer they just can not refuse', they will continue to make life miserable for anyone who doesn't use an answering machine & caller ID.... Notice that some people have tracked down their business(es) to a specific address, and I'm surprised noone has shown up at their offices to return the favor & create some frustration for them !
Personally, I finally quit playing the game & never answer the phone unless I can see it is someone I know and want to talk with at that moment. They can call us all day & just get ignored, and I don't miss the intrusions on my time. Remember, if you think you're missing an important call from family or friends, you can always call them back.

Got a call from this number. Didn't recognize the name (VITAL MESSAGE) or the number so I didn't answer. Will not call back. They are just annoying.

Caller ID shows up as "Vital Message". They left a message on answering machine. Policital candidate message. stupid and worthless.

Left voicemail stating they would help me with my back taxes(?).

It is clear the DNC list is a joke to our government. It is underfunded and has little bite when it comes down to it. Until we demand from our leaders that infractions of this list means that individuals can file personal or class-action lawsuits against these companies, their owners and/or management of said companies that try to hide behind corporate laws, these companies will continue to flourish. Another way to put an end to it is call them back or answer when they call and "play along" without giving any personal info...make up names and keep asking questions about what they just told you over and over as if you are a moron...waste as much time as you can everytime they call until it pisses them off. When they get pissed off and want to end the call, say, "You know, I am really interested, but you aren't answering all my questions...may I speak with someone who will...perhaps a supervisor that has more information than you?" If you get someone else, play along again!!!
