I was called every day by this called 403 201 0131

I have recieved 6 calls from this number then they hang up. Last one came on 11/01/2012 at 5:34.

When I call back to see who it is it is not in service.

Back to Bob - thanks for the info, appreciated.  I'm certainly not a tech wizard but surely with all the wizards that are out there, you would think someone, somewhere would come up with a solution to this scammer problem.  I'm a widow in my 70's, in not so great health and I must say it's not only annoying, but definitely unnerving to have to deal with these calls on virtually a daily basis.  There's been so many that it's now gotten to the point where I keep my phone ringer turned off and unfortunately if family or friends call it means I have to call them back - not always convenient for them since we're in different time zones.  I simply cannot deal with any more scam calls.

These numbers aren't given out by Phone companies - Scammers using VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) can make phone calls from anywhere in the world and have phone # and/or name show-up on your caller ID that they want. They aren't the actual number that the calls originate from !! That's why if you try to call the number back it will say "Number not in Service" or "Number not Assigned" etc. Because most of these calls are done by auto-dialers there is usually a pause/silence after you answer while the autodialer recognizes that a person has answered a call and it transfers it to a one of the scammers' operators to try their scam on you. Because these are not real phone numbers on your Caller ID it is next to impossible for the phone companies and /or government to stop these calls or trace the crooks ....

Thank Rogers for Call Display(On Cable you can see ALL calls for the day- Channel 975) and I check all calls.  No answering for me.  Leave a message or don't call is my motto.  I never call the number that I don't know...lessons learned...they eventually go away....

First call for this number. Unfortunately I do a lot of work with people in the 403 area code, so I can't afford to ignore these calls. Guess I have to now.

You're kidding. Cell phones are just as susceptible as landlines.

I have also received numerous anoying calls to me cells phone, which is acost to me. I have answereed a few of the calls and told them to please take my cell off their list, but with no success. The last call a few minutes ago, I decided to talk to them and got a a fellow who said his name was " Edward". He seemed sincere in my not being interested in this  Air Miles promoation which had to do with some trip from Florida. He said he worked for a company called "Edwards"; which is not likley to exist . He was polite and said that he would ensure it would be noted on theircall list that I was "not interesed". Will be interesting to see if any further calls come through. I have also previuosly tried to call back the 403-201-0131#, but recording says it is "not in Service".  You have my vote to get the Gov't or somebody to shut these guys down; and with a big penalty.

Get a call from this number on hubby's cell phone daily. Tried to call and to text the number back. Doesn't work.

This is a way for telemarkers get to see when your home based on the time day you answer you phone, reason why when you answer you get no reply. This number calls you and documents when your home that way the telemarketers know when to catche at home to answwer thier call.

I have also had many of these calls, just too many to be exact.  I am FED-UP everyone that gets a call from this number should talk to their telephone provider and complain...COMPLAIN LOUDLY enough is enough...let the provider do something about these annoying calls.
Most of the time it is just dead air on the other end of the call.  If I get a real person I have an air horn by my phone, start talking really softly so they have to strain to hear me then I blow the air horn....hoping they loose their hearing and just stop calling me.

Just got called a couple of minutes ago.  They had called previously.  Don't know who callers are, but I ignore calls from AC 403 if caller name is not displayed.

Rec'd a call approx. 9:30 a.m. today - "unknown name".  I never answer any unknowns.  Also been keeping track of all unknown #'s over the past couple of years - this is a great site for checking the source.  As of today I have rec'd 83 calls from various unknowns from numerous locations across the globe - India, Mumbai, many U.S. states from Florida to California, as well as B.C., Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.  It's time the service providers stepped up and stopped handing out phone #'s to these creeps.  Why is it that normal people in many cases, depending on the service provider, have their credit scrutinized before getting service or have to pay a "deposit" up front, yet it seems these scammers are given #'s with no consideration given to the real purpose behind it.  ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!

Like many others I too have received many calls with no response.  Getting very tired of it, wish they would stop calling.

I answered my iphone it made a click like it took a picture.  can they get infomation off my iphone this way????

Keep receiving calls from 403-201-0131; there is no one on the other line-dead silence, then it disconnects.Very disturbing.

no one talks, just air- what to do when phone calls llike this come?  it is very annoying

Air Miles Collector notice and another call from same number for AeroPlan points. I spoke to 2 reps there and said the magic words "REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST" as pressing 9 does not remove (as stated).
I am looking into reporting this number immediately.

I have been recieving calls on my cell phone at least 3 times a day. I do not want them calling me anymore. Its just a recording..

The phone number is on call display & even when I dial long distance it's impossible to get through to the number.  It's annoying!

Any idea how to stop these nonsense phone calls? It keeps calling me every day two or three times.

This number phoned me 6 times on my cell phone in the last few days,no answer every time,I pushed the ignore button, the last time.

This Phone # is A Telus Phone number in Calgary Alberta.Have spoken to Telus communications and hopefully this will end theses annoying calls.

This number keeps calling ,no answer ,does not exist if I call back,it's very annoying and at all hours.

I am constantly getting calls from this number.  Never anyone there.  I call back to be told the # is not in service!!!  Please block this caller!!!!

I have received over 30 calls from this number in the last two days.  I have since learned that they are a fraudulent company, and have nothing to do with air-miles.  I am told that local law enforcement is aware of them.  

The best way to get rid of them is not through talk, but to block the number.  I am with rogers and blocked the number at www.rogersonenumber.com. It has been successful so far, and is free.

I got these calls for weeks now, sometimes several times a day. Know about stories where people used really loud wistles to get rid of annoying people on the phone. Maybe I try that the next time this f*****s call.
