Sick and tired of these yahoo's always calling.  They want way too much info on you.  Anyway... our finances are just fine , thank you.

Was called at noon today re credit cards/rate/debt reduction. Pressed 1 as instructed, talked to Max re deleting my number from their list (I am on the Do Not Call list). Max hung up on me ...

Keep getting these and cannot understand why the CRTC and their FANCY "Do Not Call" don't nail the people supplying the telephone link. They called here at noon and we are letting our answering machine kick in. This results in them hanging up, but I get the number from call display. Strange that no
listing is found and the number doesn't appear on any phone company list??? Alberta Telephone seems
to be the culprit here. Had calls from Calgary, and some little place North of Grande Prairie.

Was some robo dialer - I let the phone ring and ring. The scammer finally intercepted and ended the call after about 10 rings. Of course no message (my useless Shaw voice messaging system doesn't work). I'll try to block the number (but Shaw probably won't be able to do that either!). I looked the number up (reverse lookup)...nothing listed. When you consider it all, these people can't be up to much good. What kind of thieves are they - credit card, interest rate reduction, airmiles/vacation win, bogus computer scam, donate to (il)legitimate agency? Or are they a bit more creative criminals and have they come up with something new (yeah, right -- LOL)?

These creeps are hiding behind an unlisted number or just spoofing the number so you think it is coming from southern Alberta. Reverse lookup gives no information.

That being the case....they can't be up to any good. I will give them the rude treatment if they dare to call back. Why? When criminals are trying to scam/steal, they look for 'nice' people. People who are nice or polite are more likely to be manipulated in a scam (they keep on trying to be nice and maybe try to please). So be rude and obnoxious from the get go. Describe ungodly acts they likely carry out in words that would make a sailor blush. They'll leave you alone.

Just recd call...no one spoke so I hung up.  Been ill and it's difficult to answer phone...thought being on do not call list would stop this.
