I had a call from this number from a lady with a thick accent claiming to be from i Yogi. She wanted me to upgrade to Windows 8 and she could do it if I let her take over control of my Computer. I refused and said I would call Yogi myself if I wanted the upgrade. It was probably a scam. Usally when I talk to Yogi I have to call a number in India, I don't believe they have an Alberta Office.

I received a call from 403-210-4058 today. First there was no sound, a typical sign of scammers' random digital dialing, b/c it takes a few seconds for them to realize that the line is on. A woman with apparent Indian/Pakistan accent said their technology and computer inc. has noticed that every time I'm on the internet, my Windows is attacked by a malware. She asked me if I'm aware of that. I faked an ISP and asked if she was calling from that company. She didn't fall into this trap. Then I told her that I use Mac, not PC (actually I do use PC). She said she would transfer me to their Mac dept, by which time I was 100% sure that it was a scam.  

yeah agree put it beside a radio and leave them waiting these scammers, for me this same number showed anonymous !!!

If they call back again say "Thank you for the report, that means my virus is working the way I want it to. Call me back when your servers crash so I can target another scammer."

An East Indian caller claiming that my computer was sending out spam and corrupting other computers. wanted access to the computer to correct the problem. I told him to get lost and hung up.

Have some fun with them.  Ask them to wait, put the phone down (next to the radio is good as they can listen to it) and get on with your life.  It may taken them a while to realise you are not going to return to them by which time they should have racked up a nice phone bill.

I got acall from this number.  The guy with an east indian accent (very bad english) is referring to a computer scam. The pretend to loook at yopur computer and tell uyou what might be wrong with it.  They keep calling and callling. How do I block out this number?

Got a message from this number at 6:45 a.m. today.  When I answered there was nothing at the other end.  Called back and it said "You've dialed a number that isn't in use."

just got a call from this number; name showed as V followed by digits. the guy said he's from some computer department. scram.

This call came from 13 ave Se calgary.  Will have to look further, who ever owns the phone is making threatening phone calls and the police are looking into it.  I believe if everyone that has received a call from the idiot makes a complaint they should get shut down and charged.

This number just called and it says unknown. Whoever it was did leave a message and swore profanities telling me to go f*(& myself etc.

I just recieved a cqll from this nimber. the male had a strong accent.. middle eastern or africa. Said he was from windows and this was about my computer. I laughed  and said I bet it was and hung up.

Just got a call from 403-410-2058 listed as "anonymous" on call ID.  I didn't answer as I thought it was bogus, but it was my boyfriend leaving a text to landline message which I found out once I checked my voicemail.

I received a call from 403-410-2058 caller ID displayed Anonymous. Didn't answer call. When I dialed the number back got message saying number was out of order.

I just got a call from this number, it sounded like a cell the quality was really hard to hear she was breaking up I heard my first name and nothing else eventually she just hung up - I read the notes from folks above, if I ever get calls about trips to Florida I always just say why the hell would I want to go to Florida? Lol or the Bahamas or wheverever ... usually gets rid of them

called while we were out  but no message left - probably the same scam as above, seem to be using that number again in Alberta.

I received a call from "V070600510031" coming up as "14034102058".  I did not pick up as I don't pick up calls from unknown callers or from numbers that I don't recognize.  Good to know it's another scam...happens a lot with my cell number.

Got a call last evening, second one, says he is the head of Security for General something or other. I told him he was lame and quit calling.

I got a call from this number just now.  Caller ID said "anonymous" but it was an apparently local call so I answered.  When I said hello there was static and a big pause, so I knew I was being connected from a computer and I hung up.  Normally I don't answer calls from any variation of 1-800 numbers or from anyone who blocks their calling ID or number, but since it was from a local area code I answered it.  Back to my regular rule of not answering calls without caller ID!

Got a call today from this number, December 17 11:30 am. Strange sounding guy said "I am from the G.E Company........General Electric"
At that point I laughed and hung up.

i put this number after a rather threatening call on my blocked numbers list.

This number 4034102058 called me at 2am in the morning, In never answered the phone because I was in bed. whats up with that!

I had a rather strange offer made to me today by phone at approximately 1:18 pm today. The number on the phone screen was 403-410-2058 / Shabaz. He said he worked for Visa  and Master Card Rewards program. And because I have been using my card a lot they had chosen me for a prize. The prize was for 5 days 4 nights all inclusive 5 star hotel at Kissimmee Continental Florida plus tickets to Disney World, plus 3 day 2 nights at Daytona Beach Ocean front hotel plus 3 days 2 nights at Fort Lauderdale Florida Resort including a $1000.00 dollar gift certificate, a total of $6,500.00 value. The offer was to be open for one year.

He knew my address but had the zip code wrong. As the conversation progressed he said the only cost would be the taxes and then proceeded to ask to verify my card number. I gave him a phony card number and name on the card. At this point he said I will switch you to another person to verify the information. At this point I said I was not interested in going further closed the conversation.

Is this a familiar call ? Is there any danger in this conversation I had? What should I watch for?

I tried to call back the number on my screen and it said number no longer in use.

Just received a call from this number (local to me at A/C 403). Ended up being someone known to me calling on Skype.

I just have got a call from the number. The woman with a tough accent asked me about air quality in my region. I started answering, but after a few questions she strarted to ask me personal financial questions like: "Do you own the place you currently live?","How long do you live there?" "Do you prefer to pay with credit card or debit or cash?". I had to interrupt her.
When I called back, I was told: "We are sorry, the call can't be completed as dialed"
I think this is a scam. BEWARE!

same  number was on my call display 2 tiems and 3rd time they called me was same name but 403-697-6637.  she aked me if i smoke, any one in house sick, and then started to ask how long i lived here and stuff, i hanged up...

These IPFax guys seemed to have come back with a vengence! This time here in Alberta(supposedly)! Yesterday they called three times between 12 and 12:30pm and today they called FOUR times between 2 and 2:30pm. What's next? I'd like to do more than fry their computer and fax machines, I'd like to fry the peole who's doing this! I'm going to contact the consumer reporters for the local media stations. I don't think there's much they can do but if they at least raise the issue on TV then again maybe awareness can be all that's needed to get the ball rolling as far as who can be behind this BS!
