Checked with Telus security on 403-451-0103, they claim it is a Rogers supplied phone number. Rogers doesn't show it as belonging to their client list...so I would tend to believe the Telus response, they seemed more professional and knowledgeable...in any case Telus recommended signing up for the Do Not Call list to block this kind of repeat call.

Several separate solicitations are made from here. Calgary Firefighters for the Foothills Hosp. Burn Unit, Shriners for sponsored Circus Tickets and Calgary Old Timers Hockey. I got the baseball tickets so I believe it's not a scam but STRONGLY recommend you STAY AWAY for other reasons... read on.

Today is the last straw. I will report them to every charity they claim to support. They are not doing anyone any favours!
I have told these people to leave me alone. They solicited me for tickets to the baseball games and I bought a pack to help their charity once. Forever after I have been called for multiple things and have told them to take me off their list. I believe that they have sold my name and number. GIVE THEM NOTHING!!
They call and are overly familiar, speak to you as if you should know them before identifying themselves, ask for your first name as if they know you and won't leave messages with family member.  My husband answered...why not ask him to support the cause?
The message was "tell her Henry from Calgary called" and he promptly hung up. They have been loud and rude and have hung up on me when I've asked them to leave me alone.

If it's the company I think it is, only 10% of your donation gets to the charity anyway. The rest goes to the telemarketing company. They are very rude and will start giving you guilt about the children who are suffering without your support.

They called my office landline which displayed their number and "unknown name" on caller ID. They got my message that also gives my cell #, they hung up. Then they called my cell and it came up as 'call' with no phone# (i.e. private) which IE NEVER answer - they are persistent in their begging efforts.

Just received a call from these people on my cell phone. At the time I was on my landline on an international call, I explained I was sorry and couldn't talk at the moment and that they were welcome to ring back. He replied sarcastically 'I'm sure your sorry' and hung up.
These people are rude, I phoned back to make a complaint, all I got was an automated message.
I have had prior calls and have found them to be pushy and rude. When phoned them back although I couldn't make a complaint i did get the number to remove myself from their call list it is 1800 379 77808 for anybody that wants to do likewise.
Give to charities that show common respect, this outfit is a disgrace, I urge you not to give them one red cent, I certainly never will.

Our company as well did buy tickets for any of our staff that decided to go to this baseball game, none of which went of course.  And today we received another call asking for the owner of the company/head of marketing.  I politely told him that the owner is not interested and would rather be bothered with work related called rather then telemarketing calls.  He then proceeded to tell me "well thank you for that, A***OLE!" then hung up.  He then called back 5 minutes later, but denied the whole event when asked if he just called me an a***ole.  Again he hung up, but didnt call back.  The problem with these charity callers is lack of politeness and monitoring of calls from someone of higher power, if someone doesn't want to give, i dont think it warrents being called and A-hole, does it?

This is the Shriner's Circus donation for underprivileged children to see the circus, or buy tickets to see the circus yourself.
