Phoned wanting to speak to the person in charge.....would like to discuss lower rates for our company bills.  I told him I was not interested & he wanted to know why. I told him that the conversation was basically over when I said no!  I don't feel that I have to explain myself to some faceless telemarketer, and I'm sick and tired of these relentless morons.  We have a home office and these calls disrupt our home life as well.  Shame on these big companies for doing their business in this manner.

Received a call on my direct work number from Victoria at DNE Resources, wanting me to call her back when I had time.  Sounded like a cell phone call; very hard to understand and I listened to it six times.  I'm thinking DNE stands for Direct Natural/National Energy.  Since this was made on my business number, they've gotten it from somewhere.  The Property Management group pays the utilities for our leased building; i guess they missed grabbing that part of the info base when they got my work number from wherever.

Called at my work, the man on the phone tried to tell me how my electricity bills will be going up 40%. When I asked him if we did business with him he said no. He kept asking probing questions and when I stated we weren't interested in any of the services or products he was trying to offer he got very snappy at me and said how would I know if he's offering any services since I didn't listen to him / he didn't try to sell me anything yet. I hung up on him. He called back immediately and when I didn't answer he called back again. It felt like harassment.

So a "Jon Deeson" called from DNE (phone 403-451-5717 ext. 135) asking if I could speak with him for a moment about electricity and natural gas. Since we were looking for maybe a new company to do it for him, I trusted him, and send him some info (last electricity bill) so he could do a quote. (fax number was 1-888-773-8062) He sounded pretty knowledgeable when he called later, and gave me a quote and stuff. What caught my attention is that he was faxing from Montreal (514-419-8030). Plus the paper work was from Direct Energy, but not once did he mention that..Then I searched all three numbers, and none exist!! I haven't tried calling him yet, just afraid to see what he's up to. But he's supposed to call back on Tuesday and then I'm going to ask him some tough questions before we consider him. ;)
