Caller hung up on me when I asked how they had my number.

Nobody on the other end...  Grrrr!

Could be. I block tons of numbers. I could hear background noise, but know one talking to me.

Tried to call back since I'm in the same area code, and long distance charges would apply which is strange. Oh well, one more number blocked.

I got a call from this number, which is supossed to be a local call, but when they didn't leave a message, I caledl them back, my server said, it was an out of area number and long distance charges apply. I hung up...

I just called that 1-800 number and read them the riot act.  I even gave them their number the 5487878 number and said, it's illegal and inappropriate to call do not call numbers and now I can't even block you because your number is our of service or whatever.  Not professional.  So thanks for the info on those people.  That was awesome.
Now to report this to my phone company. :-)

I am on the national do not call list.  When I asked how they got my number, they hung up on me.
I called Canadian choice windows at their 1-800 number and I actually got through to someone.  
If you get a call from this bogus #, call them at 1-866-807-8064.  If we all file complaints, they will get sick of using these clowns to cold call people...

Got a call from these jerks at 9:20pm asking if I wanted my doors or windows replaced.  I rent an apartment...

Call at 9:20pm asking if I want new windows or doors....  I rent an apartment.  Should have gotten the name of the company so that we could name and shame them here.

really annoying, as they keep calling even after 9 pm. When I pick up nobody is there.

My call with that number said Glen T. Mackay on caller ID.

Just had a call from Canadian Choice Windows at 918pm. Cold calling in Calgary Alberta. Not sure if it is a scam or what but really annoying!

I just got a call from this number, they said this is richard from canadian choice windows and was I interested in having my windows replaced. They new my surname. I tried phoning them back and it said this is a number to which long distance charges apply and to add the 1 at the beginning. So I did and it then said the number is out of service.

The post from Anna is right on. This number is randomly calling up people asking people if they want their windows replaced. When asked how they got my number, the guy on the other end said it's picked from "robots". Although it appears like a legitimate business, it is still annoying to receive calls "out of the blue" from businesses and marketing companies. I asked him to remove my number from the "robot" (automated caller).

they just called there was a pause then a guy asking for the mrs of the house who is there isn't one then they asked for my boyfriend by first name.after i lied sayng he isn't here they asked if i knew if he wanted to replace his windows...

These people are persistent called numerous times in a few minutes, I don't  answer my home phone anymore as too many telemarketers  and scamers.

Got the call and answered after 4 rings.
Nothing at the other end. The caller hung up after about 45 seconds...

I just received a unusual call from this number. I wonder if it was someone seeing if the house was empty at the start of a long weekend.

Called to offer a free quote for windows or something like that.

It''s a spoofed number by a company you have probably blocked or don't answer trying to see if you'll answer a call from a local area code and confirm the line is good.

they called just now and do not have the intelligence to say anything ,these rocket scientists just hang up after i say hello three times, fourth time , sme type call  If i return the call to 403 548 7878 a recording states that this number does not exsist.
