Child Lukemia charity, called them back at 1800-619-6103 and got removed from list.  Be careful when AFTER your press "9"...voice is cut off and all you hear is press 2- don't- press 1 again and this will remove you from their call list- SO THEY SAY.  Why is an Alberta charity calling people in SASK?

Called this afternoon. Caller was rude and insistent after I mentioned I do not entertain unsolicited requests for donations, or even information from charitable organisation, over the phone (we have our own system of organisations we donate to). Kept insisting that her job was to "assess the amount of monetary donations" I was willing to make. Caller won't get off the phone and her aggressiveness dissipated any form of goodwill.

Received a call from this number on January 4, 2010 at 10:27 a.m. (CST).  The caller was extremely rude and would not get off the phone even though I explained to him that this was my business number and that I was busy.  I also explained to him that I donated to a variety of charitable causes and that I did not wish to contribute to his organization at this time.  He brushed me off by asking why I wasn't prepared to assist in leukemia research.  Without question this was the rudest solicitation for funds that I have received in a very long time.  Also, I'm in Saskatchewan and I don't understand why the solicitation is coming from Calgary, Alberta!

As a mother who of a child with leukemia, I was very disgusted to hear that one of my co-workers received a call from this number, and was very rude to her.  He phoned last year, and rudely insisted that perhaps her donation would be enough to find a cure, after she repeatedly told him that she donates to other charities, and is not interested.  He made her feel very guilty for not donating.  Plus, you should NEVER donate over the phone.  He phoned again a few days ago, and again was very rude.  I've been dealing with my daughter's illness for 2 years now, and have never heard of this foundation in Alberta.  I do see that there is a foundation of that sort in Ontario, but I have no idea how legit that is either from the information that I've read on their website.  They don't give you a contact number, only a number to call to donate.  Their donation form only has an address, no phone number.  Whatever you do NO DO DONATE ANYTHING over the phone.

I got a call this morning -- once I answered the person said one, unintelligible, word and then hung up.

I received a call today, and the rude insistant man on the line said he was raising funds for Lukemia research.  After listening to his speal, and telling him I don't give information on the phone, but said if he mailed it to me I'd look, he tried to tell me I he wasn't getting through to me.

Anyway, with his attitude, and the google history of this number, I believe that it is a scam number being used.  I would advise not to give money to this phone number.

Received a call from them here in Saskatchewan this morning. Still scamming, I see. This time though it started as a recording. "Due to the..." (click - I hung up)

I received a HANG UP call from this number.  That only makes me NOT want to donate to their "charity".  Are they a legitimate charity?  I checked out the web site.  Very little info on the site.  I emailed them and said such calls are a total turn off.  Is it offshore telemarketers who have no manners?  Are they american telemarketers who are just plain rude?  the number on call display means nothing.  I have received other hang up calls and when i call back I get "this number is not in service".  How can that be?  the scammers are obviously smarter with technology than I am.  Or maybe i an just too honest and polite.

Got called by this number over 20 times today.  It's still calling me after 10 minutes!!! Picked up and no answer. no message left. Who is this number????? $@#&!@!

Like many other posters, I've seen this number come up a few times on call display.  Haven't answered, and never had a message left.  After scanning through these posts, I'm OK with that result.

Recently had numerous calls from these scum bags...sounds like a scam to me.  HATE ALL TELEMARKETERS!!!!!!!!

We keep getting calls from this number every other day. We never answer because it says "unknown name" and there is NEVER a voice mail message left. This is getting frustrating! It's the second number I've had to report. Don't listen to anything these people have to say, they're probably trying to scam you and if they are legitimate they are going about this whole thing the wrong way!!!!

Has called hourly tonight - always empty party noise in the background.  After several attempts to try to start conversation - no response from caller.  I hang up after several seconds of waiting to answer call.  All info I find on this number is negative / telemarket / scam.  Keep reporting it!

This number called me this morning and I did not answer. I have received a call in the past from this number where I was pressured to donate and made to feel guilty about not donating. I asked to be placed on their do not call list which clearly did not happen.

It's basically a scam. Most of the money does not go to Charity at all. And some of it winds up lining the pockets of it's founder. Here's an article detailing the whole scam this guy is running from the Toronto Star. Makes me sick that they try to make you feel guilty about not helping kids when they have no intention of using your money to do that anyway.

It's not for the Star, that's just a Star article detailing how bad this so called "charity" is. It's basically a scam.

Answered call and heard click and then no response from caller. Knew it was telemarketing call from the "click". Hung up phone.

Phone rang twice. I picked up and it went dead.

I got at least one call from this number, too.

Answered phone - no response. I'm supposed to be on the no call list and I still get telephone sale calls.
