Just got one now. A guy with an accent, i think he was chinese, told me i won a new samsung phone or something like that. Told him i wasn't interested... he didn't sound all that professional, and there was a few second lag on pickup which usually means they are dialing a lot of people and just pick up when you do. I would say avoid.

I also received a call today, got lots of information out of him, the name he gave me was Marc Rusell (his name) with this phone number, and a caller ID # so that I could call him back.. It sounded like he was talking under water the whole time, but the plan sounded good! I told him I obviously had a phone which he phoned...and he said I could share this new one with a family member. He was stumped when I told him I had no family! I questioned why he needed a birthdate, he said it was to verify I am over 18 years. I refused to give him my license number (he said it was to verify I was a Canadian), when I didn't give him that, he asked for my SIN... ya. needless to say, not comfortable with this non-english speaking guy that sounds like a woman!

Received call today. Said he was calling from a subsidiary of Bell.
Offered me some phone deal, about some $30 a month new phone, etc. He had a heavy accent and I asked him 3 times where he was calling from and didn't understand him either time.
I told him if he knew I was with Bell he would know that I have a new phone and I wouldn't be switching.
He then hung up on me.

They have been calling me on and off now for about a year, always offering some phone deal. They have never asked me for any personal information, but just always want to sell me a phone. I indicate, that they have called my on my cell phone, hence, I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER ONE.

Today, I missed the call from this number, and so I called it back. Same message recording as above "please enter the ext of the icaller user you are trying to reach".
So I Googled the number, and here we go. I decided to "report".

I am curious where they are getting our private numbers from?!
This is starting to piss me off.

I got my new BB number a week ago and I haven't even shared the number with anyone yet...and then I got a call from this number!! I was like how is this possible when I have not shared this number with anyone yet?! So googled the number and here I am. So its either Rogers sharing its customer database or I got a recycled number...either case, this number appears to be a scam.

Received a call on my cell.  Told the caller I was at work and not able to talk.  Immediately googled the number and found this page.

received a call they wanted my name birthdate mailing address and then Drivers license number......that drew a red flag for me.......I asked the guy for a supervisors name....call was disconnected - then they called back ASAP said they didn't need my D/L # and the free samsung phone I have been given  would be delivered to the address provided.  I gave :"A" mailing address, not my home...... and then called my cell phone provider
the number does not pickup when you clal back it wants an ext number WHAT A JOKE..

usually I don't answer stranger numbers. this number call me twise sequentially, without any brake, and doesn't leave a msg!.

I got several calls from this number as well.  Same very strong accent and hard to understand.  He said he was from Telus Mobility though but with the same Samsung offer.  I told him I was driving at the time and that he could call me back later.  He asked when and I said in the evening.  He then asked me my name.... I said to him that if he was with Telus which I have an account with, then he should know my name!  He tried to skirt around this and proceeded to get my name and I told him once again I was driving and could not talk to him but he was still  persistant.  I finally hung up on him and they have called me back twice since!  Definately a scam in my opinion.
