Unwanted calls

Just got a call phone Id said Midwest Lead Mk>?  Don't know what that means.

This company just called in asking for one of our employees.  When I asked what they were calling about the person stated that someone from their company spoke to the employee about a health insurance quote.  I said to him well that's a bunch of bull because this person does not handle health insurance.  The person asked me what do you say?  And I said that's a bunch of b***s*** because he doesn't handle health insurance.  The person told me he was going to hold me accountable.  When I asked for what there was silence.  I said hello about 3 times and hung up.

No message but took close to 2 minutes on vm.

Tired of all those junk calls?  Want to avoid all the scammers, telemarketers, & bill collectors?    If you have caller id, use it to identify the caller & never answer a call from someone you don't know.
If you have the right telephone provider & package, you also can block calls from specific area codes (ours is with Qwest).   Calls from those area codes will no longer ring through to your phone.
Another option is to buy/use an answering machine & let all your calls go to it & ignore the ringing phone.   You always have the option of picking up the line if it turns out to be someone you want to talk with.

Got a call from him today, he said that his company talked to me last year about insurance and wanted to verify information he had on me as in my age and if I still use UHC Insurance.  He asked my age, and then wanted to know where I worked which I refused to tell him.  He then said somebody would be calling me next week with insurance quotes.  I do not give my personal info out, but he seemed to have some idea about my current insurance, first name and approximate age.  I know I didn't talk to anybody last year about insurance for myself.

Calls and asks for the person by their first name as if he knows him. When I asked if he knew Dr. ______, he said no I don't. My reply was, well then it's Dr. _____ to you. He said, Sweetheart, Im not going to argue with you and I said you bet you are not and hung up on him. Rude and on top of that stupid if he is trying to sell something.

Received two calls today.  I don't answer calls that are not identified by my cell phone address book.  No voicemail was left.  Is there a way to block a number like this so it doesn't ring?

Call here everyday, I do not pick up the phone when I see the number, they hang-up and do not leave a message.
Who are these people? If this is a health insurance company, they must be desperate, all the CVS buildings they are building on every corner, someone has to pay for this and its the people who take pills, if you look at the TV all you see is pills, pills, pills and pills.

Called AGAIN today...boy, they are trying.

Called again today...went to VM & left no message.

just started calling my business. if you post your business on line that is where they are getting your number..i have a land line phone so everytime they call they are building there case for them self. I will win. not my area code either

calls on regular basis. Never leave messages.  They are asking for a specific person in our office. They hang up as soon as I tell them that he's not here. Very annoying. What can we do? I don't even have time to ask them to remove us from their list.  On caller ID, I only get the number, no name. Aren't they supposed to show their names by law? If they are breaking the law, why is the FCC doing nothing?

the lady calls asking to speak with the owner of the business.  I tell her she is and then I ask for her name and she hung up.  does NOT pick up the phone when i called her back

I have received many calls from this number. They do not leave a message. I answered the call and tried to take a message for myself. The guy said it would not be needed and they would call back and then hung up.

Received calls before, I put them on my "DNA" listing in my cell's address book.  They called twice today; first call was a hang-up, second they stayed on the line long enough for the VM to kick in but did not leave a message - only background noise from a call center.

I receive 3 phones calls a day from this number.  I do not answer calls out of my area code as I work locally only.  Annoying.

called business cell asking for previous owner. Tried to explain that he was no longer here. Caller proceeded to laugh and hung up. Dec 4,2009

am reporting this number to the fcc. They call daily .....what a pain

Calls the office a couple of times a week, wanting to speak with the owner, refuses to leave messages... It's very annoying...

Called my office line - was very vulgur on the phone then hung up.

Call about twice per week trying to sell me insurance.  Refuse to remove my number from their list claiming whoever sold them the list was only supposed to include business numbers.  They don't care that it's my personal cell and that I report every 3rd call to DNC.  You would think they would give up since I either don't answer or start with "WTF you want?!" and go downhill from there.

3 Calls w/in 1 hour, no message left

Called my cell phone (on the DNC list, of course).  No message.  Might be a probe to see if anyone's answering my number.

yes this person has also called are buisness, never leaves message. and when we call back they never answers the phone. will not answer his call. think its a scam.
