Hi, hope this email still works! I just put a deposit down on a puppy at ipb snow dogs. She was in contact all week until I sent the money! Since this morning after sending id and everything her number has gone out, the video of my dog is gone and she won't answer text or email? I just now found the site about everyone calling her a fraud!!! Help did I just get conned? Or is my money gone and no puppy! :(

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about "puppy mills" I have worked with her and been her assistant for a year now and she does not run a "puppy mill" she has a nursery in her house and in the back yard.
two in fact. She cleans them every day waters them everyday feeds them everyday. She will get food for her dogs before she buys food for herself. I know this because I have seen it. Honestly for those people  who are looking to buy a dog from her don't go based on this site. Lots of what is said on here is most likely a lie and the people who are bitching still owe money on the dog and could never afford to pay her in the first place. She really is a good person. and for her own daughter that is bashing her on here, you have no idea who she is anymore. Pretty sure you went down a destruction road too did you not? she actually is an amazing person and is most likely better off without you in her life anyways. OH! I have TWO dogs from her and there is nothing wrong with them. Yes was my eldest a handful when he was a BABY yepp he was. he was a curious little one and didn't like being in a small kennel HATED it actually went bat s*** crazy when he had to go in it. so what did we do to fix it? got a big back yard and BUILT a bigger one where he has room to walk and move and jump and play. has he calmed down sense then HELL YES! if you think you dog had PROBLEMS yea its your dog saying " HEY I HATE THIS!" or PAY ATTENSHION TO ME or my personal favorite I MISS YOU! my dog is year old and knows how to sit, stay, paw, two paws, lay down, house, greet, bark on command, walk beside me, come when hes called, and play nice, and space.

my 5 MONTH old puppy knows how to sit, stay, paw, come when she's called, house, play nice, and down, and get the ball. also LOVES HER KENNEL literally will walk in it when its bedtime. sooooo not sure what is wrong with you guys but you guys obviously SUCK BALLS at training. as for her not answering calls she doesn't need to be at your beckon call everyday. she had 12 dogs to tend to your not really her priority.
so just cuz you people failed at providing for your dog, its not her fault. oh as for the biting thing umm train it not to bite? Breeder sometimes claims to have 42 years ON-LINE experience with huskies. Given that her Facebook page says she's 51, she's been doing it since age nine. Amazing! And not only that. by those numbers she's also had an Internet presence before the Internet as we know it was even invented!

Breeder claims to have upwards of 50 000 customers. Yes 50 THOUSAND! So assuming she has been selling them for 42 years and that's one dog per customer, that's 1190 dogs per year. Or 22 per week. Out of her small trailer in the middle of Airdrie with "one or two breeding pairs" (the later was a statement taken directly from her very website). They must be some tired dogs! By her own lofty personal standards, again stated on her website, she is the very epitome of the Puppy Mill breeder she so openly criticizes.

I phoned the CKC and while they could not comment officially, prior to being kicked out of that organization she was registering 20-30 dogs per years. A far cry from 1190 she is bragging about! And by the way, 1190 dogs per years is defined as a puppy mill by both the CKC and the UKC, the latter whose services she now uses. The UKC is a well known scam organization and there is a well documented case on-line of a person who was allowed to register their parrot as a purebred German Shepard.

Does this pass the smell test? No damn way, it stinks!

An open letter to Shirley Koyczan: So what is the truth? I doubt she'll answer. Or if she does. she's likely to say that this message is monitored by the RCMP and that I'll be going to jail. That seems to be her response to those that call her out for what she is.

It looks like the city is finally taking action.

Shirley Koyczan, owner of IPB Husky Snow Dogs has been cited in numerous cases of animal cruelty, including endangerment, animals at large, biting attacks and unsafe or unhealthy conditions. The defendant has also been fined for operating without a city licence and under noise bylaws. Koyczan will appear in court at a undetermined date and animals may be impounded if actions by the defendant to are not taken to improve conditions and obtain proper licencing.

Let's hope they shut her down and rescue those innocent animals!

There are pages and pages of complaints on this breeder, yet people obviously continue to patronize her business. Why? Because she sells cheap and asks no questions. I too have seen her at Bass Pro Shops selling dogs out of the back of her filthy truck. Security chased her away while I watched.

I hate to tell you all this but i'm her daughter.  She is a COKE HEAD!! the reason you don't get her money back, is because she blows it on drugs.  She will lie to you and sell you dogs with cataracts!! this is a horrible deformation of the eyes that she is AWARE OF and will sell her dogs ANYWAY!! she has over crowded pens and even keeps some of the dogs locked away on a seperate property.  she lies about the bloodlines on her dogs, and frankly you cannot trust her as far as you can throw her.  DO NOT BUY HER DOGS!! she is a liar and a thief and as her daughter who has refused contact with her, BEWARE!!!

I am taking her to court, and on other complaint websites of her I have asked for people to contact me, all that will be required will be a statement.  Get in touch everyone.

We did the same thing recently,  have since walked away and despite the costs I will be taking legal action. Shirley will let you touch the pups from born, hence why many people who have purchased pups have had them die. She is a terrible person.

Shirley Koyczan, used me so many times, and she has tried getting my family involved, and she still owes me money like im not talking twenty dollars, im talking about $200.00. She gave my sister a dog to care of, and the next day she broke into our backyard and took the dog! She is extremely rude, and ignorneret, she doesnèt know how to properly clean her dog pens, she has to hire young teenagers to get payed more money and competley lie about every little bit about everything.

This online business is bogus they have no right to place personel information of poeple such as names and birth dates and more personel information.  They are corruped and hide behind the Inet, when I argued with them to remove this information they not only changed the page they added more information and they removed the customar help box so no one will contact them at all, they have no real customar service and they only have their legal department address listed with a bogus telephone  number.   If they act this poor with the public they must have a lot to hide, so I don't give a s*** if you agree with Kim Smiley a***ole.  I don't care what any one thinks so send them link I don't give a s***, I will be happy to see them in court!!!!

This number has been calling our house several times a day for over a week now. Except for one time, we did not answer since we did not know the number. When we did answer, the person on the other end who identified themselves as IPB Snow Dogs, says we stole her prized husky dog, and that she wants it back or she will call the police. We don't have a dog and don't have a clue what she is speaking of. We had to resort to ignoring the number, as they keep trying.

We currently have one of this lady's dogs. A man re-homed her. We contacted her not knowing anything about this womans breeding practices and asked her about ckc papers and she lied to us to get us out here and then tried to suck us in to paying 3500 for a dog that is never really ours. She would not provide any references and now we have this dog, and we like her, but we are not signing anything period. So we probably have to give her back to this woman, who openly admitted bred her dogs ever 6 months. I feel very badly about this however I do not think we have any choice. It is unfortunate as I thought I was being responsible by contacting the breeder. What a horrible mistake.

She is crazy though, in the time we were there, she told us about how the CKC accepts labradoodles, goldendoodles and in a few months bishon shihtzu's. She claimed this AFTER we told her that our relatives bred CKC dogs. I mean COME ON! Who does she think she is fooling. Something about how the universe is shifting so dogs come in to heat earlier in life or something. If you ignore all that however, she does put on a very good show I must say... Does she beleive what she is saying, is she just that poorly educated? I was disgusted. Though I must say when we were there, in her trailer park, that the dogs were very well kept. I have the feeling if we would have signed that piece of paper that she would have made us keep this dog for 2 years, pay for her clearences, stud fees and then she would have either charged us board out of this world(62 dollars a day per dog for 12 weeks) or she would have found something to take her away from us so she can have her and all the puppies. She did admit that she had taken quite a few dogs away from people. That did raise a red flag. And she spoke of her dogs as "investments, money makers, expensive, profit" etc. Never once have I heard about how she loves them and that they are her pets. It is really very sad.

What I do not understand however, is why no one goes after her. If everyone who had truly experienced all these breach of contracts and bad experiences got together, and sued the crap out of her, you have a sure win. You could TRY and get your money back.(Though from the looks of it she has nothing to give... which confuses me as she has alot of litters of pups per year) Or at least shut her down and give those poor huskies a chance at life. How are all these complaints even on this site getting nowhere. How is it that she is still in business after ripping all these people off.

I am just very sad for this poor little girl I have here, who I really thought would be mine, and now I have to hand her over to a puppymill. And I cant prove that it is as she does keep all her dogs somewhere else then in town. She calls it "the ranch". But from what I SEEN no one can shut her down as she keeps her place in pretty good condition considering. So the only people who can stop this are all of you who have actual grounds and proof to stand together. I am certanely not going to purposely put myself in a situation where I could loose large sums of cash to shut her down. I am dissapointed that all of you who have been had, post all about it on here, but hope it doesnt happen to anyone else, none of you have talked about getting together and ending this. You would win and you could all get your legal fees back at the very least.

The man I got this dog from had a dying family member that he had to move in with and could not bring his dog. It is unfortunate that I have to hand over this dog to this woman and can do nothing about it. As her contract states that she does have the right to take the dog back as she was meant to have first right of refusal.

I hope someone puts a stop to this woman. And that people smarten up and do research before they purchase a puppy from a breeder. Because ultimately, the people who are purchasing her puppies are the ones keeping her in business. I honestly would not pay that kind of money for a dog unless I did some serious research into the breeder. I would not have taken this dog had I known all that would follow or even that she came from this so called breeder.

She sold us a puppy that had behaviour problems from the start. Sent her home at 6 weeks, the dog continued to be aggressive with me and bite. A danger to my children. I reported these problems to Shirley, often called her crying at my wits end with the dog, she told me it was my fault and not the dogs. Finally after 2 years of problems with this dog we had to give her away to protect our youngest child as she nearly injured him on several occasions. She refused to honour our contract and completely ignored us and refused to deal with us. NO HELP, NOTHING. She also buys non purebred dogs and tries to re-sell them claiming them as her own!!! She tried to recruit me to help her buy these puppies online and in the newspapers so she could resell them for more money!!! BEWARE!!!

Do not buy a puppy from Shirley Koyczan/IPB Husky Snow Dogs because she will steal your deposit! She asked us to meet her face-to-face for an interview regarding buying a husky puppy. We drove 3 hours to Airdrie and gave her a REFUNDABLE $500 cash deposit. We were told as long as the litter had 2 female puppies, we would get one of them.

We waited patiently for the litter to be born and were so happy when we saw that the litter did have 3 female puppies. When we called Shirley she said there was not a female puppy available and so we asked for our deposit back. She said no, it was nonrefundable.

My husband has since called multiple times and all she would say is that she needs to check the paperwork and will get back with him. She even hung up on him a few times! It's been 6 months and we still haven't gotten our refundable deposit back.

She has now changed her story and says the deposit was non-refundable. Why on earth would we drive 3 hours and pay $500 in cash for a dog that we were never going to get??? We were told it was refundable! She lied to us and stole our money.
