Political Call
Ya, same people called here tonight... it looked local so I came here just to see.

If your really serious about getting rid of these callers, and feel like reading, then this might be for you....

Since I've been coming here just to see who it was that called, I keep seeing people getting annoyed for these harassing calls, and they keep asking how can you stop them. Well, just to let you know about this box I bought in the late 90's and it looks like they still maybe in production... here is a link for it...
http://www.inusa.com/tour/bouncer.htm
it's called the bouncer. No I do not work for this company... I live in Canada and I was surprised that they still make them. I also think a few other companies make something similar (perhaps... maybe even more features... not sure)! Any way, you can program it several ways.
When a new # calls for the first time, you assign what level to go to.... like,
ring the phone,
ring phone once then go to answer m/c,
go straight to answering m/c,
bounce the call and don't ring any phones in the house...
I'm not sure all of them as it has been years since I set mine up. I have mine set to bounce all calls that I have set not to answer anymore. Actually, I have mine configured a little more sophisticated as I wanted to leave some distaste in their mouths. That is, I have two answering m/c's one to take real messages (from people I want to hear from if I'm not home) and a second m/c to pick up calls that are set to bounce. No actual phones ring, although the second m/c answers and informs them that they have been digitally intercepted, and they can call as often as they wish, that is if they want to continue wasting their time and money!
Of course the message has to start off by saying hello and then waiting about 6 sec. ... that is, before it delivers the rest of the message, that way it's gets them to pick up the phone on their end thinking they have a real person on the line instead of an answering m/c. I think it can bounce up to 200 programmed #'s. Any way, it's more than enough that I need and it keeps you from having your phones ring.
They only time it rings your phones annoyingly, is for the first time a new # calls or until you tell the unit you want that # bounced (the way mine is configured). I will mention, I'm an ex-telephone, internet installer, so I knew how to hook it up this fancy way, I'm sure most people that want it hooked up this way could do it with very little help! Sorry for the long explanation, I get just as upset dealing with telemarketers calling just the once (from the same #)... I can't imagine having to put up with the same callers each and every time.
I hope some of you find this helpful.... and if you purchase one, and find it as helpful as I have, then perhaps spread your own message around to others. I'm sure the more people that get one, the less power telemarketers will have.
Years ago I saw other units on the internet that had some nice features as well (having never used them of course). Do your research before buying one, perhaps there are less expensive ones out there!
Just know, it sure can feel good, know that now your dealing with them on your own terms and not theirs!

I just got a call from this number, political parties are exempt from do not call lists. If you don't won't parties or candidates to call, you can always threaten not to vote for them if they do. Most of the time it works.

Speaking of losers, I'm amused by the Allison Redford leadership campaign ad at the bottom of this page.

I think it is retarded that the PC's in Alberta is calling people up with a recording and do not have the guts or personality to call in person to ask people for money.. I think they are losers.. no vote from me.. I think if they want ANY money from us the people that they should do what all of us need to do to ask money from others, beg in person..

This phone called at 6:48pm. I wasn't home. I usually won't pick up strange phone calls.

Political Call
Just had them call as well.  It had an automatic recording with something about leadership of the PC party, so I dialed *******, which then made a click and hopefully ditched my number from their system.
