This person was hard to understand and when we told him that the person he was asking for didnt live there, he stated we needed to PROVE we were not that person! How do you prove it???

This man called and this was the second time and was asking for a lady that doesn't live here.  I told him that this is the second time he has called for that name and she doesn't live here.  He knew from my voice that I wasn't going to put up with any crap.  He then said sorry I will take you off our list.  The caller ID says GC Services, LT.  This number should be reported to the FBI for fraud and investigation.

Changing your number is not your only course of action. I would file a complaint with the FTC. Note the date and time and name of the person(if known) you spoke to and the date and time the voicemail was left. I would also send them a letter certified mail to their business address informing them that they are calling your number to collect a debt you do not own and to discontinue calling the number. Retain your tracking number, and call them to provide the tracking number to note on the case they are trying to collect on. Note the time, date, and name of the representative you speak to. If you receive further collection calls you will have all the evidence you need to sue them for harassment, which can get quite pricey for them if they call multiple times per day/week, as they tend to. Note that their misconfigugred autodialers are often the cause of hangups, so run any unknown numbers through 800 notes or similar site to see if it is one of theirs and add any calls from them to your case.

I got home this evening (Monday, 12/22/08) only to find an unusual phone call from G C Services Ltd.  Luckily I have voice mail and someone from this company was calling for someone else - they were not calling for me.

This is not the first time I have had trouble with this company - last week I got a phone call from this same company with a voice mail message stating that I need to call them as soon as possible.  I called the number back only to find out that the call was intended for someone else and that this company assured me that they would discontinue calling my home phone.

Seems like G C Services Ltd somehow got a hold of my phone number and is calling me regarding someone else's debt.  To me, this is harassment even though I told them when they called last week that I am not the person they are calling about.

I think my only recourse is to get my phone number changed, which is an inconvenience, if the harassing calls continue.

Again, this is one of NCO's many, many numbers. I guess they think we are stupid and can't figure it out. I called back (with *67 before it of course) this company is relentless, we need to all file a report.

Have been calling harrassing my neighbor who is a senior citizen and was very rude using inappropiate language to this senior citizen woman to the point where she called the phone company for harrassment.
