Well I see these are old comments but these tools have been harassing me for years. They used to call me on my old cell looking for the person who had the number before me but they continued to call me for 3 years. I changed the number. Now they are calling me at work and it's me they're looking for. One of them told me recently that he had my address and was going to come and ruin my life. It's getting scary folks and they arent in the United States so our laws dont apply to them. They call me and tie up all three of my phone lines here and I'm not sure what to do. They are claiming I owe cash advance.com but I owe then nothing.

BEWARE OF CALLER FROM DFF 857-403-1457   Got a call from a guy by the name of James Butler saying he was from the DFF a  Dept of the Social Security Administration from this number
(857-403-1457). He said that a former employee had lodged a complaint of fraud against my business. And that he owed them money and in turn that we were responsible as well. They had a lot of general info about him but something was fishy. First all  government agencies will contact you by mail first. And since all my employees are subcontractors and therefore 1099's I knew this was bull#*&%.I kept asking questions until he very quickly ended the call. BEWARE!!!!

Caller Reginald McClain calls and says he is with a Law Firm called DFF  (Detection, Finance or Fraud) and gave the name of one of our former employees stating there is a complaint against her and their information states she works for us.  Called me a liar and yelled at me when I told him they are no longer employed with us and we have no contact information.

This company keeps calling my home and work, they even called my co-workers liars when they told them I wasn't there.  I have been home since May on short term disability,  Who do we contact, and is there anyway to trace these calls?

I am receiving threatening phone calls from this company. I keep getting a call from a Joseph Parker. The phone number thye are using is 1-508-621-7315. He is using profanity to whom ever answers the phone. I feel violated of my rights.He wants my Social Security number and says I owe him money.

I keep getting phone calls from 508-409-2080 and they say they are from DFF and say I have 3 charges on me and they had my information and confirmed my last 4 of my social..this guy switched me to his supervisor and this guy told me someone will be coming to my home to take my picture, very scary cause I never got a payday loan before so I thought I would have to fight this in court, now seeing all these post about this number and reading Amy's post I know its a scam!

I actually received a call from one of these people today at my work.  I talked to the supervisor and told him I filed backruptcy and I would not be paying anything to them.  He then proceeded to tell me I was under investigation and the bankruptcy would not make the charges go away.  I hung up on him and then received 10 more additional calls asking me why I hung up on him and just kept hanging up or not answering.  The final call I received from him, I told him to give me his name and number or address and I was going to have my attorney contact him.  He was very hesitant to give me any information but did give me this number: 617-279-0701 and his name was Reginald McClain.  I will see if he contacts me again.................He also said it was for a payday loan from Advance America.

these people keep calling me with heavy accents telling me how i committed fraud and legal action has been taken against me. these people know all of my information including my social security number. they are harrassing my place of work. when i called my job some way I got them on the line How the hell does that happen. And when I check my voicemail I can hear recording of them talking to the receptionist at my job. And their phones are out of whack to the point to where i can hear them talking to other people about their supposed fraudalent acts. they are saying that i have payday loans that don't exist. They claim that they sent money to a bank account that i don't have. I don't even have a bank account with anyone. so what are they talking about I wish they would leave me alone and go find themselves a freakin real job so they can make their own money instead of trying to scam others out of their hard earned money.

"Austin Thomas" from 347-441-3328 has been calling my home and workplace almost 20 times a day, every day.  When I do answer, he immediately starting saying things like, "Listen, shut you (sic) mouth for second!"  At that point I hung up on him.  Will be reporting them to anyone I can.

I received these calls on my cell so had it changed and now it's my work that's being called and my job threatend , I'm very depressed about this and don't know how to stop it or to keep frm loosing my job

i have been recieving the same threatning phone calls from a man with a heavy Indian accent who claims to be Marcus Jackson, Alston Thomas, etc. He threatned me with over $9,000 in court costs and legal fees and that i would lose my job if i didn't pay him. When i told him that i never recieved any money and i had my bank statements to prove it, he just kept on and started screaming at me until i told him to kiss my a** and hung up. He continues to call back to back and uses a different number almost every time. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY!!! The latest number he used was 347-441-3328. He claims to be with DFF Detection For Financial Fraud, but he is full of crap and i'm not sure what to do to stop getting these harrasing and threatning phone calls!

I too received a call from a man with a thick Indian accent looking for my "sister" vanessa (who is actually my daughter) about a fraud issue.  When I refused to give him any information he became rude and said he would repeatedly call me (which he did) until I cooperated.  I had to change my phone number.  It is outrageous that someone can threaten people like this with no consequences.  This person called from numerous numbers so it was impossible to block the calls.  PLEASE no one give these people any $$$$!!!!!!!!!

Here's what I did and it's super effective to get rid of DFF.

I called them today for 2 solid hours. I didn't speak but used sound effects like air horns and the like. Finally they pled with me to stop calling. I told them I knew they were frauds and if they called me, I would call back as I have unlimited long distance and nothing but time.

Then I got a call from an "Officer Baker" who called from Jackson State University. I told him I wanted his name, preceint number, badge number and name of Captain and a phone number to his station. Then I laughed, dialed a couple of random numbers and said "yes agent? this is the call and they are making terroristic threats". Hung up real quick.

I called "Officer Baker" back and got a disconnected number.

I also got a call today. They gave me my checking account number and stated that checks were written on this account illegally. They requested that I settle that matter by sending $655 immediately or they would take legal actions. The crazy thing is, I have not written any checks on my account in months and my bank does not know what they are talking about.

They have been calling my job - also and said that they will keep calling untill I loose  my job.  What can we do?

Yes, mine was from 508-313-2174 Ben Rogers and Alex Rondriguez. Claimed that I defaulted on a PayDay loan that the monies were returned NSF from my bank. When I tried to explain to him that no such action has happened, he just kept threatening me. He called my work, and he called my co-worker stating that he had some important imformation about my social security number. OMG! How will this stop! I did not default on any loans. I've paid all of mine. I was also told me another company that this was a scam!

OK... So Im getting the same guy, caller ID is saying unknown number. He is giving me the name MICHAEL CHAVEZ with DFF LEGAL DEPARTMENT, with this phone number: 610-200-8026. I KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED! About a month ago, I googled "payday loans"... I looked at several different companies/websites. I even went as far on one website (I have NO idea which one) to fill out a little info. But I stopped, never completed the application and closed my browser. All of the companies payback rate was either double or tripple the small amt. I needed, and I just couldn't bring myself to agree to that. The next day, and for the next three weeks I recieved 50+ emails a day from multiple payday loan websites, and they were calling my house phone all day trying to loan me money. I began to unsubscribe from the emails, and hang up on all calls. For the past week I have been getting calls from this unknown number, but would leave no message. TODAY I was home and caught the call. It was this guy! Same strong indian acct. Same threats. I was being charged with theft by recieving, electronic fraud, and identity theft via email. He had ALL my personal info, S.S.#, bank act.#, home address, e.t.c. HOWEVER, he never said he had my bank routing #. Yet he did know my banks name. Threatened to arrest me, was going to take my house, I would be paying him $3000+, kept throughing the word "federal" around. He said I borrowed the money from CASH ADVANCE or CASH NET..then he named off around 20 other diff. payday loan companies that I could have borrowed it from. I KNEW THIS WAS A SCAM, so I entertained him a bit. I asked how much did I borrow? He said "Between $250 & $350" I asked why he didnt know for sure, he talked over that. I then told him to listen to me carefully, that I to had been recording the conversation, and that I had never recieved any deposit into my bank act. from any payday loan company, nor had I requested or authorized any deposit.I told him that I would be contacting the police about this & my attorney, and would be listing a fraud alert on my bank act. And that if he ever called me again, I would sue him as well. He screamed he would be calling me again, and that he was coming to "my town" tomorrow to file these charges "into my name" and I would be arrested tomorrow. Said he was going to call my job, I laughed real hard and said "Go ahead, I'll give you the number...it's 911, I'm a cop". He hung up. Just to be on the safe side, I called my bank... they say I have to close my act. and open a new one to protect myself.... what a hassle.

I have recieved the same harassing phone calls for this company different numbers and 3 different people. ( Neal Johnson, Neal Wright and now a new person name Keyana,  They have threaten to have me arrested and have the police come on my job i will loose my job if I did make a payment. so I called my attorney and let him handle it.

I am currently getting calls from the two idiots, I have offened them and told them I have contacted the local law inforcement were I live and they still keep calling me....They have threatned me several times and also told me once that I will loose everything that I ever loved and cared for in my life, including my 10 month old daughter.........I have know Idea who they think they are missing with...but I will contact someone and have this company by the balls...thats right I said balls!!!!

The same man keeps calling me also.  He starts by saying his name is james calvin, then he claims to transfer me to his manager also names james calvin.

He is harassing me at work and calls me back to back.  He is very rude and I am sick of his threats.

I have been receiving callls from these exact same people as well. I have searched for thes people on the I ternet but no results have been found. I've been getting harrassing calls on my job and cell phone . Please advise

I have been getting harrased by these people for a few months now. The phone number is 704-389-0198. They claim to be DFF, sayong I owe a loan, and knows all of my information. I cussed them out and told them I have contacted the FBI and he literally called me about 25 times back to back, saying he was trying to help me, and wants me to send 1000 dollars. I told him hell no, then he kept saying I should pay 500.00 now, and 500.00 next week, no matter how badly I talked to him. This is full harrassment. I can barely understand his accent. Please let's do something about this company.

Do what we did.. Call them back and bug them... We would ask for people with the most made up names and each time they some how had that person there.. from what we found out, its two idiots sitting in a room calling people. They were rude to us but we got rude back and... we made them think we were out of our minds.. they haven't called back since!

The 12 phone calls, and 3 voice mails, I received today were actually from 508 257 1883, but it's the same "company" that is being reported.  They called it Detection for Financial Fraud and really scared the daylights out of me until I found this warning on CashAdvance.com's website!


Debt Collection Scam Alert

Have you been called by someone claiming you have defaulted on a loan and will face criminal prosecution unless you immediately wire them the money?
It is probably a scam.

I got the same call from someone today claiming to be from DFF. I cannot understand what he is trying to say as he is heavily accented.  I do know that he knows my social security number and knows my place of employment and was threatening an officer to come to my place of employment and do something. I have no idea but it's all kinds of threats and it is freaking me out!! What do we do??
