Ignore the calls. Nothing but a scam. They can't do anything to you. Go to ftc.gov and learn your rights.

I have had the same thing happening to me know. Been calling for months. But I don't want to call them back as I'm not well. What can I do about this?

I got the exact same phone call last week n I too was told  about payday loan back in 2010 n that  I had to pay over $1,000 then on phone or be arrested n have over a $3,000 bail....etc!! These people have nothing better to do. They had some of my info but with me too when I asked questions she got very defensive......I was left message by a Mrs. Madison w phone number 404-334-9985 ext. 305 !!! Wow complete BS!!

The number I was called from is 404-492-6798. 404-334-9986. Saying basically the same things. This sad and scary.

I also received a call about oweing a $1300 checking account loan..these people had all my info and tried to scam ne but my card is deactivated..

Recieved the same bs call. I however have a lwayer on retainer an he told me pretty much to go tell them where to stick it. Called back n started talkin to them about statutes and rcw codes and was promptly hung up on. Threated me with warrants for something that happened 8 years ago. Was called from a different # it was 866 372 8831

My sister-in-law got a call from the same number. We were told to contact a Mrs. Vargas. The information they had when we called was accurate but some of it was twisted.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

From 404-334-7498 a voice-mail left said to call hfs arbortrations at  855-798-1893. Something about a complaint on ss# .  For three months  theres been 4 calls a day about loans that I continue to refuse.

They called me also..Thanks to this post. I will be ignoring the call.

A lady by the name of Ms. Moore from HFS called my work and my son's number stating that I received a loan and am in default - I am not late on any loans.  I have called the number back and no one answers but they can sure call and harass me at work and my son.  This is total fraud and I will contact FCC and whoever else I have to to make them leave us alone.

Yeah I just received a phone call from them just a couple mins ago and they stated the same thing and another number you need to be looking for is 404-254-3788 is another number that will call you stating the same thing..i have contacted a lawyer, the cops etc about these people

I receive a call from 404-334-9985  a place called Highland Financial  in Georgia about a pay day loan and that it was deposited on the 19th of July 2010 into my account. They had all of my account info and ssn # Address and everything. But one thing they didn't have. My Active duty military orders putting in the mountains of Afgan.. From 01/2010-12/2010. So like I ask the individual on the phone how with no internet, hell we didn't even have running water so how did I apply and receive a pay day loan..

It is a scam..

404-334-9985  a place called Highland Financial  in Georgia just called and threatened me about a payday loan from 2010.! Really? 4 Years ago? What a lie!  Said they represent my cash now. Said that they will be issuing a warrant of satisfaction out out against me and they will serve me at my work and I will go to jail. They had the last 4 digits of my SS# which freaked me out. I filed a complaint with the consumer protection bureau
But these people are scammers!!
