I just received a call from Sharon Jackson who wanted to inform me that I was going to be arrested if I didn't take care of this debt.  She claimed that she was filing felonly charges against me for fraud.  I informed her that I had an attorney and he wanted a copy of the original agreement with my signature on it but they can't seem to provide it.  She hung up on me several times and she threated to add charges of harrassment if I kept calling her.  I told her if she calls me again I will file charges against her for harrassment.  Do not give this person any information.  This company is a scam.

Well, it's a crime only if you deliberately intended to deceive and steal at the time you applied for the loan, if you knew at the onset you would try to avoid paying it back.  If you borrowed with good intentions or high hopes, it's not a crime no matter how badly things turned out or how foolish you were.

It is illegal for debt collectors to threaten jail.

It's a lie anyway; you cannot go to jail for welshing on a debt.  

Stiffing a money lender is NOT A CRIME.

Companies cannot send you to jail.  Only a District Attorney can do that.  He is neutral and works for the government.  If Microsoft's legal department said "arrest this guy" they'd probably do it (once), but if J. Random fly by night debt collector tried, they'd say "Go file a lawsuit."

Never settle with anyone until AFTER they have filed a lawsuit.  That way, the settlement becomes a judge's order, and is absolutely final.  Otherwise, they can "forget" you settled and come after you again. It happens all the time, even with legitimate collection agencies.

I'd ignore them, they can't do anything to you.
File a fraud report anyway.

Debt collectors do NOT have the legal authority to "flag" your license!
Only courts do!
I'd report this to your local police AND the FBI since they're crossing state lines.

i got a call from this #404-343-0799, sharon jackson. she said i was a person of interest with the federal government. she started to ask me if i know certain people, i told her i never heard of them, but she kept pressing, i dont think she beleived me. also called my home. how did they get my cell #.i said i would be filing a fraud report and she insisted that it wasnt necessary. this is not funny. i live in nh and havent been near georgia since 2007, she asked my husbands name. what can i do?

OMG just got the same call tripping out- My significant other paid them 300.00 -  called a friend because I was a mess and she use to work for a collections agency and she said to google the number and this is what I found! This is insane , they said that I had 2 felon warrants and my license was flagged for 6 months and that if not paid in 14 min the police had a location on me and that they were coming to pick me up.... This is crazy ... Im pissed... What can be done about this?

this sharon jackson left me a msg and some case # that i could not get on my voicemail cuz it cut off. i called her back and she said my license was red flagged due to charges against me. all i could do is laugh and she got mad and i just hung up. another scam??

I got a call from this number, the lady said her name was Sharon Jackson and that I needed to pay them $700.00 dollars or the police would be picking me up.  I called the police station and they don't know any thing about this matter.  Don't give any information over the phone to any body.  EVER!!

I got a call from a MR Davis from mauconduit & luna.  He said I had a payday loan from aug 2010.  I did not and he said i had to pay him 740 today or the police were on their way to get me.  I called my police dept and they said NO they were not.  They also told me I had a felony charge against me.  Called my 80yr father in another state and told him I daughter was going to jail unless he had me call them.  So I did and this company is a scam.  they have 10+ phone numbers.  I checked all of them and they are all from different phone carriers and some skye lines.  Also I called the business licence dept of atlanta and they do not have a business license or do not have a licence for debt collecting.  If you have any information on this company, please report it to this link.

I am trying to get the Secret Service/FBI and Attorney Generals offices in multiple states involved in this so no one else has to be harrased.  DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY!!!.  THEY ARE ALSO ASSOCIATED WITH BAHAMA MARKETING GROUP AKA BMG.  PLEASE HELP US GET FRAUD PUT WHERE FRAUD NEEDS TO BE PUT!
