They called but did not leave the message. I returned the call and it asked me for my SSN and date of birth. Sounds scary. It could be a thief, just be cautious.

This number belongs to CVS Caremark.  They have called my house twice regarding Medicare Part D prescription plans with their subsidiary Silverscript.  This is a telemarketing scheme to get existing customers to sign up for mail-order medications.  The call is automated and if you say "No" to the first question and agree to take a message it will provide a 1-800 number and a 7 digit code to call back.  They've been doing this since 2009 at least. They have your information because whomever you have your prescription plan through is a subsidiary of CVS Caremark.

Our local pharmacist says many of his regular customers have been switched to the CVS mail-order without their expressed consent, presumably because they misunderstood the nature of this call.  All important documentation concerning these Medicare Part D plans come in the mail from Silverscript.  Be wary of answering "yes' on any recorded message.  You just don't know how they will apply that "yes".

If you want to check it out, say "no" and get the 800 number, then call it and press 0 to speak to a person, then ask them what the nature of the call is.  If you aren't interested, tell them to put you on their Do Not Call list and make a note of the date and time if they call again.  Continuing to call after such a request can be grounds for a lawsuit.

They keep calling and I keep hanging up on them.

I also had a call from this company claiming to be CVS Caremark calling on behalf of Silver Script a company I actually do have an account with. I called CVS Caremark and they told me this is becoming common, I said how is they "guessed" I have an account, she said she had no idea, I told her it is obvious someone has gotten a hold of my records. She was very adamant there is no way this was the case. WRONG! How the hell else would they have my name, and my insurance company?? SCAM!!

I got a call listed as CVS Caremark on Oct. 22, 2013.  Recording said it was for my husband who has a drug plan with the company they said they were calling about. Asked for birth date, said it wasn't what they had.  They hung up.
