dont answer its a scam

just got this text from the same number saying they're interested in speaking with me about a job I recently applied for on their job board....if this were legit, they'd call and not at 8:30pm......

I received the same call.  DO NOT ANSWER YES to any question because they are recording your voice saying yes to agreeing to something.  It's all about identity thief.

I just got a text message from this number 404-586-4688 and it told me to call this number 404-458-0016 ab out a job I had posted on their job board. I do not post on job boards unless it is with the company I am applying to website. I do not even use any of those other sites like Monster.

Who would even reply to any text that comes to their phone after being sent 3 or more times?
In a competitive job market, a real career advisor would not continue with the same applicant.

I received a text message from this number stating that I had applied for a job (which I recently had done.) When I called the number back I was told that I would be put on the phone with a representative from "career advisors". When the representative came on the phone he introduced himself as Alan but sounded very robotic.. I was pretty skeptical so when I asked what website it was for he changed the subject. This made me more uncomfortable. I knew that I was not going to give any information (wanted to see what he pulled up on his own..) when I said something he asked if I could repeat it and I asked if he was automated because there was a pause before he spoke each time he laughed and said "do I really sound that good?" I said "well yes..." and he said "great.. I see you live in oregon?" (Which you can find by my area code) when I said yes he said "okay I will update that information" and disconnected the phone... I don't know what this was but pretty creepy if you ask me...

I am still not sure what this is, I called and was on hold for 27 minutes, not sure why I waited so long before I hung up but either way it was ridiculous!

I received a texted after doing a search online for a job I know which sites I put my number on but after realizing so many pop up came up for ads I didn't go any further then u received a text about a job and since I know It wasn't and area I did application for I researched and found this to be an Atlanta Georgia cell number .I hit stop on phone but will be contacted phone carrier to lookout for suspicious calls or text from this area it is a scam.

I received a text from  404-586-4688 to call 404-458-0016. The recording said it was for a career adviser. When I did not answer in a positive to the questions asked for example, How are you doing today? Not Bad. Then they posed another question which would have gotten a yes response. I asked what this was regarding, instead of answer the question, and they hung up. I agree with V; It is messed up to pray on honest people looking for work!

Got a message from 404-458-0016 wanting to talk to me about a job that they said I applied for. I live in North Carolina and would not apply for a job in Georgia.

I called it it sounds like somebody has recorded themselves to make it sound legit and then if you said they're not say anything it keeps talking So I hung up

And wheres everyone from thats geting these msgs

I received the same msg, w/ a diff send from # as well. Question I had was, why don't they just call us directly if they obviously have out numbers and "speak to us about the position" we applied for?

Called me three days straight. Called them back today, computer based question and answers about my resume I posted at an on-line job post.

I called the number and a voicemail came on saying this was from career advisor and work hours M-F 9-9 about  a job I applied for on Employboard. Which I actually did apply for position on this site. The specialist will be confirming what I submitted is correct, no personal or financial information will be asked or discussed.. I have to call back Monday. So far as I can tell it's not a scam.

I've received 2 texts in 2 days on this and I called back 1 time.  They wanted to confirm my information I submitted for a job.  When I asked them what job, they couldn't/wouldn't tell me.  I hung up and will ignore these.  Total scam.

Got a text today.  Sounds like a scam to get around the do not call list and my name is not Martin.

I just got that same text msg today but came from the same number as what they told me to call. has anyone called to see what co. it is or have you actually applied for a job recently on a jobsite?

Good thing I looked up this number before calling back. I found it very suspicious enough for me to investigate being that I never was able to actually put in an app. Then the text leaves a number without saying who they are which is a red flag being that every company lets you know who they are.

I'm looking for a job and I've been getting hammered with these texts.  I've replied with STOP and they seem now to have stopped.  

i got a text msg on my phone asking me to call 404-458-0016 about a job i had applied for and the text came from a different phone number650-297-2398

I just received a call from (650) 297-2398 saying that wanted to speak to me about a job I supposedly applied for on a job board and wanted me to call (404) 458-0016. Not calling, very odd. About 20 minutes before that I received a call from (708) 263-4649 and it was some spam crap about furthering my education.

I just got the same text.
