I called the number back and received a recording that said it was the State Troopers Lodge and that I would be receiving a call back soon.

This is a call from  State Troopers Lodge asking for a donation.  My guess that very little makes it back to the State Troopers - but I do not know for sure.

caller id said Lodgegast. No one was there

Message when called back said to call 1-800-463-4501. Said to press 2 for local assistance.  Spoke with a rep. She said Lodgegast is not directly associated with the Georgia State Troopers, they call on their behalf. Called the Georgia State Patrol. THEY DONT SOLICITE FOR DONATIONS, NO DO THEY ENDORSE ANYONE WHO DOES. THIS IS A SCAM!!!

The "GA State Trooper Assoc." calls me several times a week for the last 2 years. We donated to them 1 time (the first time they called us) and they haven't left us alone ever since. The more I say no we are not donating, the more persitent they get! The last several times they have called after arguing with them that I will NOT donate, they just hang up in my face. For the last 10 times they have called I've told them to take me off their calling list. This last time the called (today) I told him I will not ever donate to them again because they are rude and hang up on me and will not stop calling me and I told them to take me off their calling list AGAIN and he just replied with "maybe next time". There BETTER NOT BE A NEXT TIME! >:(

These guys are calling from the GA Association of State Troopers. They are not affiliated with ANY official law enforcement agency and are strictly scamsters posing as a legitimate non-profit. They keep almost all of the money raised and donate about 1% to charity just to keep from getting locked up.

Asked if it was a sales call...told me it was just a "courtesy call."  Asked to speak with business owner...I responded he is not available..then he asked for the business owner's name.  I said just remove us from your list and he said "ok" and hung up.  Kinda rude but at least they are easy to get rid of.

very tacky callers, keep calling and changing identification. I was even told they were AMA, then asked what company she stated American mammamam Association(in other words, she did not want me to understand the name of the company). I kept asking, until she hung up.

They called my work in Norcross.  Did not leave a msg.

got a call from this number today, the man asked to speak to the owner, when I told him she was out of town he just hung up.

they called my cellphone, and then when i picked up, they hung up on me after i said 2 hellos. I thought they were not supposed to call cellphone #s for donation / marketing calls.

Caller asked for Rick, I asked who was calling. They said the "Tennesee" state troupers assoc. I asked what it was in reference to. He started making believe he couldn't hear me. He kept saying hello can you hear me. Then he hung up.

I get the call of often.  Check these links for info on these "public servants".  Contact them them about improving their methods.

Yes, us too.  They have called my husbands phone for the past couple of weeks, no messeges either. They finally got around to calling mine, and I didnt answer.  I just did this search and found this site. Apparently these people are up to no good from what I have been reading. I wonder what they are REALLY up to?? Just tell everyone you know to BEWARE! This is not how a legit company operates. I use to run several telemarketing & fund raisers.

They called my number today but thank god my phone was malfunctioning.  I am putting them on the blacklist so they cant call.. maybe I will forward their call to one of the telemarketers.  FYI ViaTalk has phone service that allows you to custom lock each call.

I just got a call from this number at my business in Macon, GA. When I picked up it sounded like whoever was calling was at a loud party or something... proceeding to block now after reading everyone else's comments...

The caller wanted to speak to the business owner.  As her assistant I said I needed to know who he was and why he was calling.  He said it did not concern me.  I told him that he would not be able to speak to me unless the caller identified himself.  He then hung up.

Called med today.  Left no message.  I wished they wouldn't call.

Called my house before 8:30 on a Saturday morning--RUDE.

They call our house at least daily, if we answer nobody will talk back, so we don't answer. As with everyone else, they never leave a message. We also live in GA. I only give money to our local police and sheriff, and they come pick up the check at our home and give us a receipt. I don't give to a group collecting for others because that group gets too large a cut of the money.

This number calls several times a day. They do NOT leave a messege. After reading this blog I would have to agree that if it were the GA.S.T. calling for their donations that they would leave a messege and not scare everyone. My husband and I live in Camden County, GA.

We get these calls several times a week.  When we answer, no one talks.  If it really is the Georgia Association of State Troopers, I wouldn't donate to them just because of their bad manners.  If it's not them, how do we find out who it is and stop the calls?

Lodgecast (404-549-4424) just called and asked for my husband, Tim.  When I asked who was calling, the guy said, "Anthony" and then asked again if he was home.  When I said, "No", he hung up without saying anything else.  It was a little unsettling.  So, I had no idea what it was about.  It freaked me out enough that I set our security alarm!

After looking through some of the comments left here, I called the number back, too, and also got the message that it was the Georgia Association of State Troopers and that they have begun their fundraising efforts.  (We're in Mableton, GA.)  It's a bit alarming that, if it is truly the State Troopers, they would allow people to call like that and shake us up.
