Constant unwanted calls from this number

I have received 15 calls in the past week from this number.  I would like it to stop.

CALLER ID SAID ONLY  "PRIVATE CALLER"

We have received several calls from this number and the caller ID says Habitat for Humanity.  There is never a person on the other end- always disconnects as soon as it is answered.

This is the second call from this number! Very annoying!

This is not Habitat. Habitat would never telemarket, or ask for help with mailings. The people on the message do not even use the correct mission statement. It is a total scam. Please continue to support your local Habitats. Call them and ask if they've ever heard of this--they haven't, because it's a scam and someone is using their good name to get information from people willing to "volunteer" with the "Family and Friends" campaign.

Please stop calling..remove name from mail and call lists!

I made the same mistake of donating once to Habitat for Humanity.  I won't ever do so again because of the constant barrage of unsolicited calls.   I will find out who is in charge of this organization and ask about this because to me, it sounds very suspicious.  Is someone ripping off their name?

Now I'm getting calls from this AND OTHER numbers, identified on Caller ID as HABITAT.  Usually even if I answer it, there is no response at all, no human, no recorded message. I would like to think that it's a scam and not even Habitat For Humanity, but it sounds to me like it really is them. What a stupid program for a responsible organization to engage in! I am reluctant to enter my phone number, as this just assures them that the number they called is live! If I can't trust them to not harass me this way, why should I trust that they won't use my phone number in some other irritating way? Surely their computer system can read my phone number without me repeating it? I think something else is going on here.

I'm with you Donna.  I can't believe that any legitimate organization would harass its patrons to the point of total apathy.  It's a scam.

They call me at least once a day.  I'm sick of it.

I've been receiving calls daily from this number, even on a Sunday.  Yes, they are doing their "friends and family" camp.

I gave to them earlier this year and will give to them again when I have them money. The more they bother me, the less chance they will ever get money from me again and they are a good cause.

I did what a previous poster said and called back their number and followed the instructions to have my number removed. They say they have 30 days by federal law to remove the number but they will do everything they can to remove it in the next few days.

So instead of complaining - take action to remove your number.

Received a phone call from this number. No voice message left.

Did what LD suggests on April 3, 2011.  Even though when calling the number back it says 'Volume of calls too heavy, try again later ...' I pressed 1 then 3 immediately and then was given an option to enter the 10 digit number to remove from the list.  Was then asked to press 1 to confirm and the phone went dead.  Hope this is the end of the relentless calls.

I gave to Habitat for Humanity also last Fall and have been inundated with mail and calls from them. I get them from both numbers and glad to know they are both the same place. Sometimes I get several calls in a day and I usually don't even answer. I finally did and ccould tell it was computer generated call as it took a long time for anyone to come on the line. I was so frustrated, I just said, " Do not call this number again. You have harrassed me for weeks with calls and mail and I will never donate to you again." She just kept saying Hallow, Hallow. Sounded like someone from the South that couldn't pronounce "Hello."  That was 2 days ago and so far no more calls. I don't see how it can be legal for them to harrass people like this.

I'll bet these are not calls from Habitat, but someone scamming everyone and claiming it is Habitat to try and make them look bad.  I don't believe it.

Please take my number off your call list!!!!

Thanks to all who had helpful tips about 404-549-5386 being Habitat for Humanity and how to handle it. I called the number back, pressed "1" and then immediately pressed "3" to get to the place where I could enter my phone number on their "remove phone number from call list".

MY ONLY QUESTION IS, HOW DO WE GET THESE CALLS TO STOP????

So glad for the tip.  I make a point of not giving to anyone who calls me.  I donated to them earlier this year and just want my phone to quit ringing.

Received two calls today from this number.  Caller ID said CCI.   Before the answering machine could come on they hung up.  Then an operator's voice came on and said "If you wish to make a call, please hang up and try again."

I did what Guy did and called the number back.  It is as he reports even though it showed up on my phone as CCI, it was Habitat for Humanity.  I too selected "1" and after listening to the menu choices it was actually "3" that I needed to select which had me put in my phone number to be removed from their calling list.  Hopefully it won't take a full 30 days to remove my number.

I agree with Guy&Mike Morenko I also give and don't like the calls all the time they would get more if just stoped all the calls talking to computers is not my thing when you call have a real person to talk to not a computer

Called the number back and yes, it was Habitat for Humanity. I do contribute regularly but it appears this is part of their "Friends and Family" campaign and are using "robo" calls. After selecting "1" for more info, you finally get the option to select "0" to be removed from their call list. Recording says federal law allows up to 30 days for the "do not call" list to be updated.

I am constantly receiving calls from this number:  I have requested, on more than one occasion, to have my name removed from their list, but they still constantly call.

I have received numerous calls from Habitat and have told them that I already support Habitat through my church and that I do not wish to be solicited via the phone. Now I receive calls from 404-549-5386 that caller id lists as CCI. Interesting to hear that this is really Habitat. If they have money to spend on this type of solicitation, then they do not need my money!!!
