I got contacted by her as well. I did though something was fishy so I told her I was not selling her anything.

Dave texted. Wanting to purchase a piano listed on craig's list. Same story. What a mess. I gave him my address --- my bad ---- if he sends a check it will go to the authorities

Same scam ..... same name....same number....on a Craig's list posting. Does he ever give up?

Dave is still at it 9.17.13 sent a check for $1000.00 over the agreed amount researched and found this link so happy I did.  Destroyed the check...Please beware of Dave!

I got the same text on 08/16/2013 from "dave" .. I almost was scammed once already, so glad I goggled this number.

Someone named Dave texted me from this number.

Just got the same exact text as others from 404-590-0378.  "Hello, I saw your ____ on CL, what is your final price? Dave" I'm glad I googled the number first.  I'm tempted to mess with him with some creative response!  Thanks guys for the heads up!

Thanks for this site.  I've received the exact same texts from 404-590-0378 about my piano.  Scum bag!

Last December I was one of the unfortunate people who fell victim to this b*****d's scam. I also had an antique piano on Craigslist and he contacted me via text wanting to buy it. The number he used was 559-549-7143 which is located in or near Fresno, CA and is still active.

To make a long story short he sent me a fraudulent cashier's check for $1,950 and requested that I MoneyGram the money minus the cost of the piano to a person by the name of Amber Lee Marsillo in El Monte, CA, which I blindly did. The check bounced on my account after I sent the wire transfer and my bank account was greatly overdrawn. Tried to get in touch with Dave but no response. I was completely devestated and very angery because I was already struggling financially to begin with plus I was entering my last semester of college. Luckily, my bank knew that I was scammed and did not charge me any overdraft fees. Currently, I have the overdraft paid up and I have graduated from college but this guy still put me through a big ordeal that I never want to relive.

I know at some point this guy and his accomplices will get caught, it is only a matter of time. He is just a wicked and evil person whose only goal in life is to steal people's money. I don't wish him well.

OMG they are texting me about my drum kit.  Don't do it. They are always slow to respond to my txt msgs back to them.  Now they are asking if I would take 5% less.  Who asks stuff like that?

I have a posting on CL and they have tried repeatedly to get me to sell to them.  Not going to happen.

Just got contacted by a Dave Chase wanting my piano on craigslist too! Same exact thing with the check and me supposedly sending money gram to him "movers" ugh why can't thus crew get caught! I have yet to tell him I know it's a scam, glad I was smart enough not to believe it and did my research!!

Same guy. Dave...  same scam.  Would like to send check for more than what i was asking so i could pay his movers when they came by to pick up the Keyboard.  Beware of this scam.

This phone number also tried to send me payment for a Craigslist item, for the price of my item, and additional money to pay their shipper to move the item since this person is 'out of town'.  This person said his name is Dave, but wouldn't call me, and when I called the number, I got an electronic answering service. Scammer!

Texted our phone with the message that he saw our Craigslist ad.  Name was Dave, wanted to know what our final price was.

I have been in communication with a person Name David Walton. Can you send me some information. He is traveling between england and Cape Town South Africa as He recorded me. but never reveal real picture of Him and his daughter.

Tried to scam me yesterday 1/31/13 from 1-404-590-0378. Same exact deal. I am out of town.... I'll send money order over the amount owed.... please pay movers and keep rest....... BLAH BLAH BLAH. Get a J O B LOSER!

Got the usual text from his niece or daughter. Said to text him about an instrument I had on C/L. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Of course when I searched his number, I easily got the info he was a scammer.

You want to text these morons back & say "Why don't you search your number on the net?"
