Got Recorded message from this number claiming a hold on debit card which I do not have with them

We got the same call at 8:45 last night.  Two of our friends got the same call throughout the day. How can this sort of solicitation be legal? SCAM

Got a call from this number just after 9 pm on my business phone. I let the message run till it hung up after about 5 minutes. I looked up the number here at this site. They called again just after 10 pm on my house phone (only one digit different) and I pressed one as requested (all machine voice) and so far here it is over 20 minutes later and I hear "please enter youre 16 digit card number" about every 30 seconds. I ain't going to hang up till I go to bed in about an hour.

I finally got tired of hearing the recording, so I hung up. It was a good 45 minutes. I got to wondering though, once I pressed 1, could they somehow start charging my phone for some outlandish long distance charges to some country half way around the globe?

Received call 10:33 pm PDT on March 18. Computerized voice claimed to be calling from my credit union to report that "someone else" had been using my card. It said to press 1 to connect to their 24-hour security department. I pressed 1 and it asked (again in a computerized voice) for my card number. All a big phishing scam, apparently the credit union has had quite a few complaints about it already.

Just received a call form this number. I didn't recognized it and did not answer. My instinct was to google the number and I saw this page.

automated call saying ATM card is frozen.. I DON'T HAVE AN ATM CARD.  wants you to push #'s to reinstate.   SCAM.....FRAUD

I received a call on this number claiming that it was Southern Credit Union and wanted to verify my credit card and to dial "1" to speak to someone about it. After I dialed 1, the line went dead and it would reject any attempts to reconnect. I have been a victim of ID theft in the past. Obviously if the phone company knows this line is being used for scamming why wouldn't they track it down and deal with those involved?

Called stating i had my ATM frozen from a bank I do not do business with.  Wanted me to enter my 16 digit card number, nice try pirates!!!

I just got the call, too, on my personal cell phone.  Very annoying.  I didn't answer it because of the strange area code.  Guess the FTC still hasn't done anything about it.

They called me at 4 a.m.!!

I don't appreciate them getting my work cell number!

I got the same call last night.  I pressed one the first time just to see what it would do, then hung up when the next automated message came up.  I'm contacting the FTC.

I just received an automated call telling me there is a temp. hold on my credit card from the fraud department.  It then prompted me to enter my credit card number (ask if) and reactivate.  If you attempt to call back it will tell you all circuits are busy.

Scammers. ...American National Bank... press 1.... Yadda-yadda-yadda.

This number has called me several times in which i missed the call.  I tried calling back and i get a disconnected . Tried a few minutes later and it rings several times then disconnects.

Computerized Woman's voice advising that my account with American National bank of ... "insert state"... has had suspicious account and my ATM card had been cancelled. Please press 1 to talk to our security department.  It actually said my state, but had that weird pause like it was looking that info up from the number it dialed.  I hung up

Sure sounds like a scam.

I did not do what the caller wanted.  It sounded like a scam to get my social security information.

This number is a scam. If you gave them any personal information, you need to contact your financial institution immediately!

I did get a phone call at 3h33 am this morning.  I don't know if they thought that getting me when I'm asleep would make me do stupid things!  Just hung up and went back to sleep! :)

404-845-3027 called at 1:02AM. Didn't answer but message left was my atm card was suspended because someone unauthorized used it.  There was no company name nor phone number to call back.   I  called my bank & was told they hadn't called & my account was fine. Per my caller id it was Beacon Electronics. I will contact the FTC.

Report these to the FTC(Federal Trade Comission) The phone companies rarely do anything with the information, but the FTC can shut down the phone numbers.
