I got a call from this number today from a man insisting I had ordered a medical device for which he needed to schedule delivery.  He then said I or someone else had already paid for it.  None of this is true.  I told him "no, I do not want it"
and hung up.

I have been receiving calls and voice mails from this number for quite a while.  I added the number to my list of blocked numbers through my phone service, but somehow, today, another got through.  As has been mentioned, a recorded message about some medical alert device.

Company is "Senior Medical Advisory".  Says its HQ is in NYC, but will not give out the address.  Uses local ph # with no name to get you to answer.  was waiting for a call from a contractor, so took a chance.  reported them to FTC several mos ago for Do Not Call violation.  Agent 35 told me they will take me off their list then hung up on me.

Did not answer, saw caller ID and knew no one at that number, party left message that he was trying to schedule a time to deliver a medical alert system like seen on TV! What a scam

Another day, another spam. I looked at my Caller I.D. and didn't pick up (cell phone call). There was no message.

Something about ordered medical equip.
I have no idea what he was talking about.

Said I had been approved for a medical device based on someones info. 1st time pressed 5 to stop the call but 2 hours later got the same call again.  Pressed 1 and no answer.

This number (404-857-1840) is originated from Indonesia and spoofed using the 404 Atlanta, Georgia exchange.  A team of harrassing crooks that call daily.  I now have them blocked and my phone rings one time and then cuts them off.

Yep. This one is amazing. It pushes the "almost fraud" edge as well as any call, letter, e-mail I've seen. It is clean clear audio, and a quite conversational message. Parsing the message it does not "tell a lie," but it's intent is to deceive. A lot of people are going to answer this one.

My father in law got a call from them today, left a message on his answering machine saying someone had ordered a medical alert device and they wanted to deliver it to him. Told him it wasn't legitimate.

Noticed a call left on my answer machine from 404-857-1840 "Out of Area" on caller ID
message on machine was a man talking  reading off a script say that our medical warning device was ready for shipment by pressing 1 on the phone.  Also this device was already paid for as well as shipping.
First of all my number is an unlisted, unpublished, restricted number.  
No one has ordered or approved to have this device and don't want it.  
Get a bunch of bogus phone solicitations every day.  I never answer calls where I don't know the number or person on caller ID.   If it is an important call, I am sure the caller will give me there full name and phone number if they want me to call.  So all BS calls are ignored.  Do Not Call List is useless.

received two phone calls  from this person named John???  I reported him to the FTC and FBI = it appears to be a recording and the caller is pushy and wanted to deliver a product to me and said I ordered it or someone ordered it for me and that is a total lie.

Unknown numbers don't get answered. If its important enough they'll leave a message

figured it was spam, but answered it.  nobody there.  all these calls now coming in on local area codes are holding us all hostage.
