If you don't want to get calls from these people, most phone companies have some kind of blocking service. How they got my phone #, I don't know, but when I called the carrier to report it, they said they could block that number. Check with your carrier. That might bring about peace and quiet.

CAREFUL about these folks! This is NBM, a telemarketing and possibly a "publishing" company, that sells magazine subscriptions, among other things. Like other posters to this list, I have NEVER answered calls from them - either I pick up the receiver and slam it down again or I just let my answering machine pick up. HOWEVER, all of a sudden this past month, two separate charges have appeared on my bank card for magazines that I never subscribed to, nor would ever subscribe to! If I want a magazine, I buy it in the grocery store. I found out about this scam by calling the numbers associated with the charge - two different numbers, but the same answering message: "Please enter the telephone number from which you approved the subscription for your magazine...." or some such nonsense. I immediately called the bank to have my card number change and to challenge the two charges already made (totaling almost $100.00!!!). So what I think is happening is this company is just taking my answering machine as a "Yes, I want this subscription" - which is just over the top in and of itself - OR, perhaps the telemarketer is figuring they can just "add" me so they can make their quota of sales for the day and that I somehow won't notice. The bank is investigating and I've reported them just about anywhere and everywhere I can, since I can't get a REAL PERSON with any intelligence or decision-making authority on the phone to represent them and respond to me. This place is BAD BUSINESS. Watch your credit card and bank statements!!!! (and I still have no idea how these people got my credit card info in the first place. Hopefully the bank fraud investigator will be able to tell me that!).

This number calls me at least twice a day sometimes more and they usually hang up as soon as I answer but sometimes if I say "stop calling me!" as soon as I pick up a man asks for some lady named candy. When I tell him he has the wrong number he hangs up. I've tried to call back and its an automated message that says to be on the block list press one, which I did and still get calls. And it says to talk to someone press 2, and when I do that it just goes silent and nobody ever picks up the phone. I am annoyed out of my mind
