Hi,
I'm from Los Angeles, CA. I've been receiving calls from this number quite often lately. They call my Skype-In phone number. They usually just hang up at the voicemail message. But sometimes they stay online for about a minute and use my Skype-out credit in the process.
Since they've "abused" the privilege of using my number I simply "blocked" them in Skype today. Skype has worked great for blocking sales calls.
But this was the first time I received a "message" in Skype from this number "requesting to see me when I'm online". Why would I do that? So I "ignored the request" and we'll see how it goes.
So far Skype has worked great for fighting phone-spammers and tele-marketers.

I got that same call last night. and I spoke with a Victor gage, I totally proved him wrong because first off the address he had was wrong for 2007 he had deceased family member and an ex husband on this list of people for this so called loan, First off I have not been married since 1996, second I have copies of every piece of paper from whre I lived, from housing, dwfs, ors(child support,) and mainly from social security. Now when I asked for the bank info from which this loan was mad he tried to state I don't want to see you in jail while your pregnant. Did this guy think I was not going to do research what an a**. I keep all my papers in a locked file and of course when you call back that number you get a voice mail and no response. I knew something was up from the start. Watch out people this is a very big scam.

Here's the deal: I called the 404 # and a recording said to dial 888-665-9900 to "opt out" of receiving calls. This I did, which was followed by another recording that said it takes 30 days to be removed from the "opt out." As that was not acceptable I called BOA directly and requested this be expedited as the calls are inappropriate esp for someone who is not a BOA customer. Their reply was that it takes 30 days no matter what and that most phone "opt outs" take 30 days. I don't care about other phone opt outs. Apparently when someone becomes a new BOA customer they must manually "opt out" of receiving emails, calls, etc for "products and services," which is a waste of My time. I will save anyone who wants to "opt out" of these harassing contact methods, time from having to call BOA and be put on hold for lengths of time: Login to
https://privacyassist.bankofamerica.com/Pages/English/In_Activation.asp
Here you can choose to "opt out" of receiving further communication from BOA.
All the best.

This # has called ten times during the past 4 days, never wanting to leave a message. They called 3 times on a Saturday. Of course I call BOA and complain and they "don't know who it is..." despite caller id verifying it is BOA... This is total harrassment and I am not a BOA customer. Love how my telephone # is sold.

Calls keep coming in from this number, shows up as Bank of America on called i.d. Have been assured by the bank this is not one of their numbers, and neither is this one:
1-888-665-9900
This is a number which the one above directs you to, after some hissy-sounding voice-mail message about "from time to time, we offer products to you etc."
B*****d/s keep calling, upwards of six times daily. My own bank suggested I "ignore them," or call my phone company. I'm going with the latter; I would prefer to join a group to head to Atlanta and torch these worthless crank-yankers. What if I were working on plans for a funeral for my child, do these jerks even consider these possibilities? Washington, D.C. you have failed us miserably. Crooks won't turn in crooks, will they? >(

This is exactly what happens to me, it is BoA selling crap, they rotate area codes every few days. Driving me insane.

I have been receiving calls from this and other numbers. Some show Bank of America on my caller id, others don'.t. I look them up on reverse calls, and they are from telemarketers or Bank of America!!! This has been going on almost a month now. They don't leave messages in my voice mail either. Who can we report this telephone harassment to?
elwood 2011-07-01 00:16:50 Unknown
i too keep getting calls by this number, as with all the above, someone calls and doesnt leave a message, however i did hear on one call before hang up what sounded like a female voice saying 'ello and what sounded like a tv in the background - so far today since i got home i got 4 hang up calls from this person or whoever
caller id shows it either as atlanta ga or bof

I've recieved 5 calls from this number in the last 2 hours, never leaves a message. I'm on the do not call list so i'd love to know who this is to make it STOP!
Tim 2011-06-30 22:12:00 Unknown
I just got another call today (2nd time today) and will not leave message, however, my caller ID shows Bank of America as the identifying caller. I did not pick up because the last time I got a call from BofA, they were selling me life insurance. I told them I already have one and am happy with the company. I figure if it's important, they will leave a message.

Just received the SIXTH call from him today. I left it go to voicemail and he doesn't leave a message. I WANT TO MAKE THIS STOP!! It's totally harassment to call THAT MUCH when the day is still young. Who knows how much he called while we were at work!
D 2011-06-29 23:18:56 Unknown
Been receiving calls from this number twice a day everyday. Doesn't leave a message in the answering machine. Does anyone know what company this is?
S 2011-06-29 20:55:28 Unknown
Just received yet another call from this number. Same story as Vic... this guy hangs up when greeted by the answering machine.
I've been receiving similar calls from other, seemingly unrelated numbers, such as (786) 358-5587, (805) 309-5553. It may be the same guy. I notice that he cycles numbers every few days. I was receiving 2-3 calls per day from the 805 number, then that stopped. Then calls came from the 786 number. Now calls are coming from the 404 number.
I don't KNOW for sure if the numbers are related. However, the calls from those other numbers have followed the same pattern. I get the call, the phone rings until the answering machine picks up, and the caller promptly hangs up.
Not sure what this guy is after. Probably automated harassment for the heck of it.
I don't pick up the phone for this number, so I don't know if there is a human on the other end.
