After I got my number, I was getting a ton of collections calls for a "Victoria Carter." After a few years' break, I got a call for someone associated with Victora, regarding a social security number. They said the social security number had been compromised. Sounds like a scam.

I just call the number back and it is the Special Olympics calling for donations.

Non-profits are exempt from the DNC list

They guys started calling as soon as I acquired the number. I'm on the DNC registry. They call all hours of day and night, even after 8:30pm! I will be reporting them and other annoying calls to my phone company and report them to the DNC, too.

They're about to drive me crazy.  The phone rings twice maybe then they're gone.  Special Olympics is reputable but I suspect they've hired some fundraising cretins to try to get money.

These people call me every day, repeatedly, at all hours.  But the kicker was last week when, after getting my machine (I was sitting right next to it, screening the call), the caller decided to leave a rude, mocking message on my machine.  She repeated the outgoing message on my machine twice, in a sarcastic, mocking tone.  Needless to say, I don't care if they're taking donations for blind Tibetan monks, they won't be getting anything from me at this point, except for maybe an earful the next time they call while I'm at home.

They have called every other morning for the past two weeks -- it's especially annoying, considering I work nights, and am usually asleep. When I go to answer, no matter how early in the call, I always get a dial tone.

They have called me probably 10 times within the past month. Every time I pick up i hear a dial tone. I called the number back and the recording said I have to call 866 544 4880 to speak to a customer representative. I am about to do so, and my words will not be kind.

Said she was a professional fundraiser for Special Olympic, then invited me to choose from discounted subscriptions to some magazines. I hung up at that point.

Called today & a few other times in the past.  When they call, it shows up Special Olympics but don't leave a message.  They call from 404-935-9226

Called on Oct 15 afternoon. No message left. No caller id name displayed.

DNC lists exempt charities and politics - just an FYI

I just moved almost 3 months ago but I immediately added my new number to the 'do not call' list.  Ocassionally I still get unsolicited calls.  I love when they call the fax line.

They called this morning but didn't leave a message.  All it says in the Caller ID (along w/the phone number) is "Atlanta".  I'll try to pick up next time and see who it is.

These morons keep calling my house then hanging up. I'm on the DNC list too, but apprently they are too illiterate to read that.

Special Olympics

Keeps calling - no ID on caller ID - calls morning, noon or night. I have solicitor block on my phone but they get through.

They used to call from a caller ID "Special Olympics" then switched to a private line, I suppose to get more people to answer.  Call at 8am, call at 8:40pm.  I am tired of these calls.  I actually talked to someone who asked, "are you familiar with the Special Olympics" and I said, "somewhat", and the person said, "are you not the woman of the house?"  How rude!!

They are trying to say they do not want donations, but I am tired of them calling.

I am getting a call also.  No name shows up on my caller id and I just established the line for my home office.  I am just going to block it if I can't find any info on who it is.
