I got a thing in the mail that said "Tablet Computer, Final Notice" on the outside.  It said to call 404-939-5687.  Disclaimer on the back of the "voucher" says that it's from DirectBuy of Atlanta in Roswell.  DirectBuy members, past visitors and employees are ineligible.  Must attend a 90 minute Open House to receive the gifts.  Must be at least 2 years of age, employed full-time, and have an annual household income of $45,000.  Couples must attend the presentation together.  This promotion is not affiliated with Android.  Approximate retail value of gifts is $100.

In other words, you'll sit through a 90 minute high pressure sales pitch from some sort of shopping, or travel club that is over-priced, and then you'll get a piece of crap fake tablet and camera that's not worth the $100 they claim it is.  I've been through these things before, and they're NEVER worth it.  If you have a hard time telling a sales person "no" even if they're selling crap, then stay away!

Got one too for a new 7" Tablet Computer and also a $100 Restaurant.com dining card and it was the "Final Notice".  Instantly screamed scam to me; just curious on what the scam actually is.

Not a scam, it is sponsored by DirectBuy of Roswell, you receive it for attending an open house (tour of their club). Went a few weeks ago, I didn't join but it was a pleasant experience and they understood that at this time it just wasn't right for me. The owner Dave spoke with me and was very pleasant and gave me both the Epad and 100$ restaurant.com gift card with no questions asked after I had declined to become a member. Worth at least a call, and if you ask me worth checking out as well, even if you don't join you still get a fairly nice gift for your time.

I received a mailing for a free tablet computer.  I didn't call, I'm trying to find out who it's from.  Knew it was a scam, but from who?

We met with Sherry Harris (franchise owner) after stopping into the store unannounced on a Saturday afternoon.  We waited for 45 min before Sherry showed up and proceeded to talk down to us about how we had to come back at a scheduled time, could not bring any kids, and both my wife and I had to be there.  Are you kidding me?"

Got to be a scam. Called number and it said please leave a message for google customer, then started to ring. Went to an answer machine so whoever could call me back to make an appointment. I left the confirmation number (TW120508) printed on the Final Notice I received in the mail.

I called the number on the gift voucher and it was Direct Buy of Atlanta. The call went to voice mail and they wanted me to leave my name and number. I hung up.

I got a Gift Voucher for a Touchpad Tablet with Camera and Wifi.Plus a bonus of $100.00 restaurant.com gift card.  I don't know if this is a scam or not I might call and see what the catch is.

Mine is exactly as yours but without out the spelling errors. I did not call to see if valid.

I just got a post card from them.  We live in Alpharetta GA.  Some of the text does not seem grammatically correct.  Must be a scam.

Just received a post card with "Fly Away Escape, Airfare and Hotel". on it. Says afflicated with most major airlines.  I call within 48 hours will receive a bonus, 3 day and 2 hight hotel stay.  Had trying to reach us by phone but was not succesful.  This is not a timeshare or land sale offer. To claim call simply call number.
