Got a call from 773-729-2424 saying they were from National check mediation services collecting a debt from 2006 from some Quick cash place that I have never written any check to the lady threatened to attach a warrant to my D.L and S.S. number said she was turning me over for 4 felonie charges all regarding this one check I stated that I had filed a chapter 13 bankruptcy and if I had ever written any such check that it would be included and she says I signed a document stating that I wouldn't file bankruptcy on the amount of money she says I borrowed, I have to say she was very scary and convincing I set up payment then contacted my atty who says she was fool of s*** and to pay nothing he called the number and asked for an address so if needed we could add to my bankruptcy and he was put on hold for a very long time he eventually hung up and said this was a scam so I immediately stopped payment and closed that account and opened a new one

I have been getting phone recordings from 404-996-0717 daily saying that I owe a dept and something about a lidigation with National Mediation Group. They state that a NSF of $25 will be withdrawn from my account and not previos offers are honered now. I try calling them back and I get a recording with a ladies voice, I leave messages to loose my phone # or I will take action on them. They still call back with the same recording message. The phone # they are calling is 208-305-4952. I do not owe a debt with this company or any collection agency.

i got a call from david allen also. he threatened me with jail time. when he called a second time i got mad and hung up then a woman from an 817 area code called me. david allens area code was 404. i am not the brightest one but i know that 404 area code is from georgia a d 817 is texas. how can you two be in the same office?sarah cooper is the last one that called me threatening me with my job jail time. they harass my friends and harass me. i have read some of these reviews and i am calling the ftc monday morning.

yes i've been getting these same calls also, they wont send me any paper information, and i asked the guy who's calling me todd sutherland to provied me with information  on this debt, but he refuse to, then to see where he was coming from i said ok i'll pay the debt, so he asked me for my dreidt card isiad i don't have one then he told me to go get a pre-paid card and call him with the card number, so at that point i said this is a scam.

Well the owner Wyteria Dorsey instructs her employees to add between $100 to $1500 to that balance so the her employees make money from collecting on the overage of the $300 and that how they make their money. If you have ever received a letter from these peoples look at the bottom of that letter and it signed by Brittney Hall. Well I found out Brittney Hall name really is Shinetta Terriquez you can look her up on mugshots.com or her direct contact # is 404-996-0748 . Read all of her charges. This is the person that handles all of the money for this company. Come on people if you give this company your money you are better off turning around and giving your hard earned money to a crack head or to a complete stranger.

The owner of this company name is Wyteria Dorsey her contact number is 678-754-6345 you can get her address in Union City Ga on google. Ms. Dorsey stress and insist on illegal collection tactics. They receive payday loans from other companies and instruct their collectors to add $100 to $1500 to the debtor balance.This company has been making money this way for years. They take and steal from the poor and the disable. The disable is Ms. Dorsey favorit. She feels they are the weakest and most of the time they have no one to help them so they know no better. Ms. Dorsey has made millions this way. If you pull the 1st company name of Dorsey Thornton & Assoc  on the BBB you will see they always maintained a F grade. Ms. Dorsey chose to change the company name to dodge paying taxes on company the 1st year. This company and everyone in it is a fruad. If you ever receive a call from this company 1st file a report with your local authorities.  Then file a complaint with the FTC and then with the BBB. Never at no time for no reason give these crooks your money and please never give them your debt info  bank nor prepay card numbers they do not pay money to the company you owe

i have been contacted from a lady name Ms Monroe , she gave me 4 diget ss number that was not mine , I left her a message telling her that was not my number and stop calling , she called again and said I need to call her and make arrangment before they , i gave her a email me to send me the info and it said I owe lke $1500 for a payday loan with Fox Enterprise , about 2 years ago i got a call and because i had done payday loans i paid this company $ 500 cause they said they were gonna arrest me , now i know better unless they can prove i got a loan i am not paying anything and also they say it is a checking account and the account # they gave me is not a checking account number , this is scary cause here people can track you down at you job and threaten you . How can you ver stop this ? I did go to my local police department spoke with a investgator and he said they can not throw you in jail and they have to provide paperwork that you took the loan , not just a peice of paper saying you took it out , any other advise out there .

I recieve calls from national Mediation group from several different numbers 404 996 0798 and 404 996 0758 they say they are agents and call my husbands cell and my sons threating to have me prosecuted We did take out a pay day loan three yrs ago for 300 dollars  could not get them paid back in the full amount as quick as we wanted so of course every pay day the 90 dollar interest was taken out this amount came to over 500 dollars all in toll that we paid them back, I Will sit in jail for the rest of my life before I pay these fools one more penny, We eventually had to file bankruptcy due to job cutbacks however now they call and say we never paid the loan back and I owe over 4 thousand dollars!!!!! I will sit in jail for the rest of my life before I pay these fools one more penny. If they call me one more time they will have a nice whistle blown into their eardrums. The lady who called me today Sandy was as nasty as she could be I tried to explain it to her that we had filed bankruptcy and at any rate it was paid she screamed in the phone NO IT IS NOT PAY YOUR BILL.

You are on here screaming at the people who either owes or doesn't even owe a debt to anyone but you don't stop and step back to look at the situation. If they do owe a debt maybe there were problems that came in the way which made them default on the loans. Have you thought of that yet?

A debt collector can't show up at someone's house demaning and harrassing the person for payment, you can get a huge fine for that. As a debtor, we have rights also. Read about our rights and the laws that protect us.

I have been recieving messages from them also. They never say what its in reference to and I HAVE NOT recieved anything in the mail, sssoooo until i get something in writing from a company with a legit claim (I currently have no bad debts) then they will not be hearing back from me so thwy can leave all the voice mails they want!

I got this call from two different people (404-996-0736) and the first person David Allen is the name he gave tells me the debt if for a payday loan I took out in 2007 which is A LIE.  The dates he tried to give me I was in the hospital having my child via caesarean?I have a child and hospital records to show that.  I wasn?t taking out any loans at all! Also I told her I have reported them to BBB and Georgia State Attorney and my next move is local authorities and FTC and further if I must.  I will not allow these people to harass me and I DO NOT OWE them.  I am no deadbeat. I work hard every day and have been on my job for 17 years so I am not sure what people do but I am not one of the ones that does this and I will not stand back and take this mess for something that isn?t mine.  No way!
I called this lady (Mrs Williams) back today and she states she will contact my HR well go for it.  I have made all of my information available to my managers and HR reps so they are aware of what is going on.  This company is shady, unethical kind of place.  I plan to fight this until the end.

Dorsey Thornton & Associates, LLC, a Georgia debt collections company, and its principal officers Wyteria Dorsey and Michael Thornton, have entered into an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance with the Governor?s Office of Consumer Protection (OCP), resolving charges that the company committed multiple violations of the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act. OCP?s investigation stemmed from a series of reports from consumers that Dorsey Thornton & Associates harassed and deceived consumers by:
?Threatening consumers with arrest or imprisonment if they did not pay the debt;
?Refusing to send consumers written proof of the debt owed;
?Identifying themselves as ?Investigators? rather than disclosing that they were debt collectors attempting to collect a debt;
?Contacting third parties and divulging information about the debtor?s account;
?Calling consumers before 8:00am or after 9:00pm
?Continuing to contact consumers even after they told the company to stop calling them;

Under the Assurance, Dorsey Thornton & Associates has agreed to forego collection of 31,433 accounts, representing a total of $15,491,899.36 in consumer debt. The Assurance also requires the company to pay a civil penalty and to reimburse OCP for investigative and legal expenses.

?Debt collectors who engage in this kind of harassment, deception and other illegal behavior in the state of Georgia must and will pay a steep price,? said John Sours, Administrator of the Governor?s Office of Consumer Protection.
