Just received an invoice from Your Yellow Book for $487.00. Looks like their price has gone up..Not falling for it :)

The phone number is the same but the mailing address is now PO Box 95343 Ok City OK. You would think they had more to do after the tornado's than this.

We didn't receive a phone call, but we did receive a fax. They block the fax # it is being sent from, but they have one listed on their "proposal." They have the following contact information on their proposal:

I trield to send them a fax to remove us from their list. That's when I learned that this is not a fax number, but a cell phone and the greeting is Howdy. That's it. They faxed a "proposal" that looks like an invoice and says Due on receipt. Luckily I knew that we didn't owe them anything and started reading the rest of the "proposal."

There is a paragraph at the bottom that reads: This is a proposal for the order of goods or servies, or both, and this is not a bill, invoice, or statement of account due. You are under no obligation to make any payments on account of this offer unless you accept this offer and this is not the yellow pages.

I looked them up on the Oklahoma Secretary of the State website and the business is now registered to Robert Ray Law, effective July 29, 2011. Address 10600 S Penn Ave Ste 16 Oklahoma City, OK 73170. It is listed as a domestic for profit business corporation. Their filing number is 1912310575.

I filed a complaint against them. Don't really know what else can be done at this point.

I tried contacting the OK Attorney General and they pointed me to the FCC 888-225-5322...dead end there also. I have a different address for delivery and now know the building manager's contact info. Not one of these Government agencies cared one bit. Guess there is nothing else to do but ignore. Very irritated.

Well.... I got the proposal by fax  1-7-2012

I really hate people faxing me BS junk. Well I faxed her back, I asked her to remove me from her fax list. I also wanted her/him to know that I was able to get enough information to take to the Attorney General and that legal action would be taken if such harassment does not stop. Let see if this low life scum bag tries this again.

Now the fax number is 405-227-9534. Same thing- showing total due of $98 for listing in 'the yellow book'.

I NOTICE MOST OF THESE POSTINGS ARE APRIL, MAY, JUNE OF THIS YEAR. RECIEVED ONE IN THE MAIL IN SEPTEMBER. PAID IT AS MY HUSBAND THOUGHT IT WAS THE YELLOW PAGES & HE JUST PURCHASED THE BUSINESS IN JANUARY, SO, HE HAD NO PREVIOUS INFORMATION TO GO ON. I SUPPOSE I CAN SAFELY ASSUME NO ONE HAS SHUT DOWN THIS SCAM YET?

Received unsolicited FAX posing as an invoice that our company is to pay. No fax removal number. Google search shows this to be a prevalent scam from this company.

Clearly a scam. Avoid at all costs.

I too got the same SCAM fax.  I took a look at the address with Goggles Street View feature.  It?s nothing more than an old rundown house.  I guess the slug can?t hold a job down and needs to try and scam people.

The unfortunate thing is that there are so many companies that call themselves 'Yellow Book' that it is very confusing.  I know that my At&t account is sooo much higher that when I saw $98.00, I thought that this was much too good to be true.  Looked up the number and you all are correct.  A 'miss' Brandie Law is making out like a bandit, I assume.

Buyer beware!

I would avoid sending faxes back to ask to be removed.  All this accomplishes is verifying that someone on your fax number is actively reading through the faxes that are being sent to it.  The scammers can then sell your fax number for a higher amount to other scammers because you have verified that someone is reading them.

It is similar to clicking the unsubscribe button on email spam, all you are doing is verifying your email which makes your email worth more in the eyes of a scammer.

Never reply to scammer faxes or emails, because if you do you will be buried with spam both over the fax and email.

Received fax on May 18 for Business Listing in Your Yellow Book for $98. Faxed a remove from list notice to the fax number on proposal. Will take others' suggestions and contact the OK State Atty Gen and file a report. I am getting so sick and tired of these scam callers and faxers. What a waste of time!

I am the office manager for a small firm. I also  got this "Proposal" on Friday may 6th  and will be glad to help shut this person down.
I notice that the return FAX number does not show anywhere. Isn't that also illegal?

Usually I will send a fax back asking to be removed or unsubscribe unfortunately I can not in this case.  It's nice to know there are people like you guys posting information about these scammers.  Thank you

Got one of these today.  Price listed has gone up to $98.00 since April.  The Oklahoma Attorney General witll be notified about this, as well as our state's Attorney General.

This is a scam.  I called the number and it said their voicemail box was full.  DO NOT send them money.

Got an invoice from this number and our "Yellow Book" rep called and said the "yellow Book" doesnt do business through faxing.  They come to your business in person to update your Yellow Book.  SCAM do not fall for it.

Scammers pissed me off so I kept calling for an HOUR.. at least I gave someone a headache.. :)
