I am sure he was scamming with home security systems as they have been ringing the phone endlessly for the last 4 weeks. My guess is they are phishing credit card numbers, by offering a ridiculous low price on home security. They just don't leave answering machine messages and hang up if you ask them questions, even as simple as the first name of the person they are calling for. Probably because they have been instructed to get information, not give it.
