Received a call from this number at 10:42am EST.  No message was left.

im talkin to him now and he is saying there is a lawsuit against me from a payday loan i took out??? i have no idea what he is talking about he says he is from new york? is this a NY number? then he tells me to call this number : 7189549786

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY HE IS CALLING?

This is a collection agency. They call threatening a lawsuit to try to scare people into paying. Although I'm not a lawyer of any kind I don't think that this is a legal method of collection. They try to come off as lawyers, but after a few questions you realize they aren't legitimate. If they call back I would recommend requesting the company name and filing a formal complaint as i will be doing.

I got a call from this number.. That guy told my computer have several error message and its special to recover those error message. He informed they are part of Microsoft upgrade.

When I asked who gave my number and who gave permission to access my computer, that guy immediatly disconnected my call...

WTF. SOMEONE PLEASE...THIS STUPID F***ER KEEPS CALLING ME ASKING ME ABOUT MY BRITNEY SPEARS RINGBACK TONE. HE CALLS OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND WHEN I ANSWER, HE ASKS ME TO NOT ANSWER SO HE CAN LISTEN TO THE SONG. WTF IS THIS S**T? IM GETTING SO TIRED OF IT, HE HAS BEEN CALLING FOR LIKE 2 WEEKS NOW EVERYDAY!! :(

I think I've been conned. After searching web for payday loan, I get a call from this guy. He gives me special codes to access loan applications. After filling in info, I got an approval for $300 for next day deposit into my account.  No deposit was made and contact can't be made to the caller.I feel really stupid. I gave this guy my personal information.

got a call 5:50 PM 8/27....when I called back operator said "call cannot becompleted."

AUGUST 27,  from caller ID, 406-426-3249, just a buzzing sound left on my answer machine till it clicked the receiver dead. might have an an inaudible recording.

What happend I just did the same thing she said I was approved for 1500 and it would be there tomorrow. She said someone would call me in the morning to decide how I wanted to pay the loan back on a monthly basis. Do you have their contact information

I received a call from this number indicating they were my pharmacy and that I had order Viagra from them in the past and I needed to get a refill. I told them I better check with my wife about that :-)

I got called by this number today and it came up as from Montana. I didn't pick it up because I didn't recognize the number and I was driving (which is illegal here in Ontario).

Keeps calling. Who is it?

I am being harassed by calls from this number.  The callers identified this as Universal Lending.  They keep calling about me being pre-approved for up to 1500 US dollars....I keep telling them I am not interested, I am not applying, I don't care about their business and the callers don't even seem to understand English.

Reply to VA and IK: I have been receiving the same kinds of phone calls on my cell and at work. The voicemail message is from a man with a thick accent, maybe middle eastern that says his name is Marvin Morris, Percy Scott, Officer Barstow, etc. (????) I have never returned the calls. I have already filed a report with the FBI. The message said that there was a "time sensitive" matter at hand and a "complaint against my social security number". I had one message that said, and I quote "if you do not contact me the second you receive this message, then officers will be on their way to your residence or place of work to arrest you and throw you under the bus. All I can say is good luck to you. Have a nice day." Whhhhaaattt?!?  

I applied for a few payday loans and about a month later I started receiving these kinds of calls. Not sure if maybe someone is phishing other websites or using payday loans as a cover to obtain personal information.

Also have gotten response on their answering machine stating that I reached the "Career Institute" but can't reach a live person.Also received calls from 213-850-1097, this # is a Northern California #. Also now receiving calls from 701-509-8523 this originates from North Dakota. All these call are to my cell phone. It is a form of aggravated harassment that local police departments usually will not take reports for due to the fact no one is on the other end & are originating from out of state.

Continuous calls from this number and sound of people talking is the message left on my voicemail.
And today my bank account had an unauthorized withdrawl of $100 ----supposedly from a web based business.  
When I tried the number for the web busines it was a recording informing me that the mail box for that extension was full.  ??????   Coincidence?

This is a scam number.  They are saying I have a "serious" legal matter lodged against my social security number and if I don't respond to 713-873-9667 they will have a team of investigators at my door step or work place.  I've filed police reports and a report with the FTC.  I encourage everyone else to do the same because if they get enough complaints about this number they might do something. Oh, yeah, they said they were from UNLV, really, the University of Nevada????? Idiots!

They are pulling the same caper with me, never had a payday loan they say I am responsible for because they have my social security number.  They have a call back number to Houston.  I have filed police reports and reports to FTC.  Please report to FTC.  If they get enough complaints about this number they might try to actually locate the Houston land line they are saying to call back to.  The call back number is unlisted (713-873-9667).

I have gotten several calls from this same number at work, home and to my daughter saying the same thing about a "serious legal matter against my social security number" and if I didn't respond to 713-873-9667 than a team of investigators would show up at my door or work.  I responded by calling my local sheriff's department and filing a report and filing a report with the FTC.  I also notified the Houston police where the 713 number is supposedly from and the Red Lodge, Montana police where the cellco partners cell call originated from.  They are nothing but scammers.  Why can't all these Asians get legitimate jobs instead of trying to con Americans.

August 30--9:33--received a phone call.  The foreign voice was very difficult to understand and I couldn't figure out what he wanted.  I said I wasn't interested and couldn't understand him and hung up.
August 30--9:38--received a second phone call.   Female foreign voice.  Something about computers.  I said I didn't use Windows and asked them not to call me.
August 30--9:42--a 3rd foreign voice called me.  I was very angry with him and asked them to stop harrassing me.  He said he had never called me.  I said this was the 3rd Asian voice phone call I had received in 10 minutes, I did not have a Windows machine and to stop bothering me.

This group was persistent and annoying.  The first call showed on my caller ID as "Service Message".  The following 2 calls showed up as "Out of Area".

The guy sounds like he is from India but caller id says Montana... They claim I owe $300 for a check cashing place that I never even heard of and never was there a deposit into my checking account from them. They say they have an affadavit and the matter is extremely time sensitive and a court action will follow . They can not provide any proof that I ever got a loan for $300 from their " client" and keep calling me up to twice a day over and over. There is another number from Florida that leaves me the same messages. They are all crooks and need to be shut down. I am sure though they claim different locations for a reason.

Called me at 544AM telling me I qualified for a loan.  Asian female.

I received a call from this number 9/1 at 3:32pm.  I answered it and heard a strange sounding, "Hi", but nothing after, so I hung up.  I googled the number and it was based out of MT.

Got a call at work - thinking it was my alarm company I answered.  A very strong foreign accent said they were from some financial office & I qualified for money.  Furious, I said "I am standing in front of 26  5 year olds and you call for this???  Don't you EVER call this number again"  The next thing I hear is one of my kids asking "was that your husband?" Thank God for kids! Didn't help though.  They have called the last 2 days also.  Today I was nice & said "I have asked 3 times that you take my name off your list" and they hung up.  I imagine they will continue to call but I won't answer.

RECEIVED THIS CALL AT 5:35 AND DID NOT PICK UP.  SAID IT WAS "SERVICE MESSAGE".  THEY LEFT NO MESSAGE.

I got a call from this number saying that I was 1 of 15 people picked from an online survey to receive $1500.  They had an old address of mine and my wife?s name.  I asked questions to identify who they were and they said they were Universal Lending Group, and the wanted me to go to a web site www.paydaypickup.com in order to log in.  They said they would give me the user id but I had to put in my birth date.  When I said I wasn?t going to give them any personal info they said I was wasting there time.  After 33 minutes they of me not giving them my info they finally hung up on me.  ?  my goal was to waste more of there time because I wasn?t doing anything anyhow, and I figured the more time I was on the phone with them, the less chances of them scamming some else.

Red Lodge Mt. called... every body should try this one. Next time they call, talk in your best chinese accent. tell them you don't understand..... then listen to them talk slower and louder. GOOD TIMES!!!
