I just got a new phone that captions incoming calls and my 1st call was from this #.I said not interested and hung up. Thank the Lord for captions as the call would have scared me not knowing what they were saying.

DID NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.   I THINK THAT IT IS THE "YOU HAVE WON A LINCOLN CAR...." SCAM.

this same number has called the house where i live almost everyday for the past few weeks. has the same number and says credit services, but the past 3 or 4 times they left a message saying something about credit fraud and the name robert. i cant remember the full message. should i be concerned?

We've received several calls from this number. I've always ignored it, because it said "Credit Services." (Ours is just fine, thanks.) This time I was curious and stayed on long enough to hear the spiel. First there was an unbearably perky voice mail message by someone named Heather (?) who advised that I was eligible for a CC rate reduction to 6.9%. Uh-huh. So I hit 1 and spoke to a heavily-accented man who said his name was Alex. Uh-huh. (I'm used to accents, and if I can't understand one, it's pretty strong.) He said I was eligible for a rate reduction "on my credit card," and I asked which one. He paused and answered, "On your Visa or Mastercard." I said that I had several of each, and which bank were we talking about. He started sounding exasperated and said, "Ma'am, ALL your cards are eligible." At which point I told him that it sounded like a scam and hung up.

If they call back, I'll call their number and go for the option to be removed from their call list. sheesh...

9/23/10  Call from "Credit Services".  Silence on the other end; no message.  Probably a scam of some kind.

Called me for the first time. Showed up as Credit Services. Did not answer but did answer to hang it up before the answering machine picked up. I too am also on the DNC. Why have a DNC if it doesn't stop these phone calls? Waste of my time for even signing up apparently!

Why should I have to call them back to be taken off a list when I have registered with DNC? I submit that the Do Not Call List is a totally worthless sop that is in place only to make US the poor beleaguered consumers, feel better. Yet another example of the "cure" being worse than the disease. I ask you Robert, did the act of requesting removal work?

Phone call from the number above. Caller ID said "Credit Services". No response when I picked up. This number has been reported to the DNC several times but they do nothing whatsoever. The DNC list is a joke if the agency takes no action. The phone company sure as hell doesn't care as long as the scammers pay their phone bill. So much for any kind of social responsibility by the callers and the agencies we are PAYING with our tax dollars to support.

Call came from Hardin, Montana to Kansas at 11:12 hours CDT on 9-9-10. Call not answered and no message left. Caller ID said Credit Services. Other sites advise that this is the old "Get you a better credit card  rate" scam.

constantly calling my home and; it sounds as if there is a fax someone is trying to send over.

Saw # on my caller ID.Called at 930 am on 24th Sept. I  already have my answering maching turned off until after Nov. elections due to all the political ad crap I get-so I just let it ring away until they hung up

Got this call yesterday.  They did not leave a message!  Instead of DONOT CALL list, there should be a DO NOT ANSWER LIST.

What a waste of time and resources.

Have gotten 40 calls from this number in the last 3 hours to a phone in a training room of my employer. When I pick it up it sounds like a fax machine.

Thanks for this information.  I included it in my complaint to www.donotcall.gov.  As annoying as it is I always lodge a complaint on this site when receiving these calls.  If there are enough complaints perhaps the calls might stop.  We can only hope.

Just got a call from this number, they hung up on our answering machine.  

This garbage goes on because the FCC and FTC are jokes, and not funny ones. Our state-operated Do Not Call list has never seemed to care much either.

As long as our government agencies are taking their cut of the ill-gotten profits rather than being ordered to shut the crap down early, the problem will only get worse.  

I'm sure the phone companies love taking their profits from this garbage too.

Same as the other reports, "credit services" shows as a missed call on our log (we use the do not disturb function, so it doesn't ring through.)  We also are on the do not call list- lot of good it does!

P.S.:

I've been getting calls from this same company (just with different numbers) for at least two years now.  When I do answer and actually get a live person and I request to be taken off their list, they hang up on me.  Today, the woman actually asked me how I was doing.  I said "I'm fine. Can you please remove me from your list?" She didn't even respond and I heard a click.  Apparently, she thought she disconnected with me but didn't, because she came back on the line and said the exact same thing.  I asked again to be removed, but she didn't respond and finally disconnected the call.

I really, really, REALLY wish there was something that could be done to shut these people down.  I can't imagine working for a company like that, knowing you're preying on other people.  It pisses me off.  I know a job's a job... but still.  Do they even have any morals?

Being registered for the Do Not Call list is a complete joke and a waste of my cellphone minutes when I have yahoo jackholes like these people robo-calling me.  I don't even HAVE a credit card to warrant lowering my interest rate!

You need to understand that the National Do Not Call Registry is only effective when telemarketers are honest and abide by the spirit of the law.  A business goes to the NDNCR to download the numbers so they can scrub their list and eliminate your number.  If that business is dishonest, as is this one calling now, the NDNCR is simply a list of numbers that they know are "hot".  It dramatically improves the likelihood of a hit when called.  Since the FCC does nothing about complaints, these scum are home free.

Yes, we are damned if we sign up and damned if we don't.  We need legislation to eliminate the vermin.  And please don't feed me the bull about the "fee market" and their "rights".

We have gotten many calls from this number (406-623-3001) even though our number is on the Fed do-not-call list. At one time I was able to get through their call- path to a person and as I requester them to remove our number from their calling list they disconnected.
