They called, since it looked like a BS call, I wouldn't pick up.  They didn't leave message.

Our phone number is only 2 months old and is unknown to anyone but my husband and I.
406 948 8001 rang today with  ID  " Credit Services"
Over the last 8 weeks we have had e mails claiming to be from USPS, UPS and DHL claiming problems with a delivery and a file to download which contains a virus
Funny as we are recluses with no family or friends to contact or sent parcels too.

I received a call from 406-948-8001 at 12:46 pm on 11-12-2010.  The call was listed as unknown name. I decided to answer it to find out what these people wanted.  I got the recording from Heather about lowering my credit card interest rates and  that I should press 1 to speak to a live person or press 2 to be removed from their calling list. Since I have pressed 2 in the past and it apparently does not do any good I decided to press 1 and see if I could talk to a person for a change.  
When the man came on the phone he did not identify himself or his company.  He asked me if I pressed 1 on the phone?  I told him yes, and then proceeded to tell him that this is Police Officer T------'s Mom and how did you get this phone number?
The next sound I heard was a very distinct CLICK!   Heads up people, these are scammers after your credit card info.  NEVER give out any personal info on the phone unless you initiate the call.

You know what?  I just got a call and from Credit Services too (displayed on my caller ID)..  When I picked up and they hung up.   I was trying to tell them to stop calling me.   Damn!!!  I hate that!!  Maybe I should report it to the FCC, FTC and Do Not Call List as well.

These people called and I picked up on the first ring. Waited 38 seconds, and when I got no answer, I just hung up. SO annoying! We are on the DNC list. I work from home and don't have time for such shenanigans.

Received a call today just as I was leaving home - have no business with these people, so did not pick up.  No message - sounds like from all the others reports, it is a BIG SCAM.  Won't answer if they call again.

I don't answer any calls I am not sure of, or of those I do not wish to chat with.  My caller ID read MONTANA CALL.  Not knowing anyone in Montana, I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  Gutless jerks.  I feel so much  better having written this!

They can reduce my "rate" to 6.9%!  Press 1 for operator, 2 to stop receiving these calls.   I'm on do not call list, state and federal, so in addition to pressing "2", I'm going to report the call to both state and federal websites.  Feds do nothing but investigate.  State says they pursue and try to get money.

This is a VoIP spoofed number, it is fraud. They are claiming they are calling from cardholder services for visa/mastercard (but not specifying which company they are). They are trying to rob you. don't even bother to pick up, just report them to the donotcall.gov site. Attempting to call back is pointless.

Just got the call...an I too am on the national no call list...it doesn't mean crap when they call from out of the county and give caller ID's a bogus return number...this time I pressed 2 (says press 2 to be taken off list)..and somebody still answered, as soon as you ask them to put you no call list the jack***es hang up on you..by the way, DON'T was your time complain to AT&T, they actually now say on their recording (if you call in to report this type of thing) that they can do nothing about telemarketing, even if you are on the national no call list,

Let answering machine pick it up since i didn't recognize the number, left no message.

Geeze....I keep getting this and another # I checked yesterday from MT, same scam. But when I answer they won't.

After reading all these complaints wish they would talk, I'd like to screw with them for a bit.

There are public lists of people who have bought houses.  Credit card companies sell our numbers for extra profits. I've never read a privacy policy, but I'll bet there's a line in each one about how they're doing us a favor by "sharing" our information with people who will "help" us with our debt situation.

Even so, never do business with a cold-caller!  If you didn't find them (locally or through a trusted source) and they found you, you've got to assume they are thieves.

I answered the phone, said Hello 3 times to apparently dead air. My guess is that anyone experiencing debt problems (myself included) are on a public list that low-life foreign debt collectors are able to get hold of.

Scam about credit card. It get old.

This number was on my caller id as 'Unavailable'. Called at 9:44 am est. No message was left.  After reading this, will not answer.

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

I received a call from this number - 1-406-948-8001 - at about 2:05 pm on January 12, 2011.  My Caller ID displayed the words "Out of Area" and the telephone number.  The automated voice said this was "Heather" and she was with "Accounting Services."  She said she could lower my credit card debt, blah, blah, blah.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call such as this one I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  I provide the date, time of the call, what Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one.  I have decided to let the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.  Complaining at this website, other than identifying the caller and letting others know they are not unique, does little to stop the calls.

If more people would complain to the FTC and not just complain on this forum, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one complaint alone.  It takes many complaints before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.

I FEEL THEY ARE TRYING TO FIND OUT IF TEL. TEY ARE CALLING IS OPERATIONAL TO SELL THEM TO TELEMARKETERS.
