Received a call on my answering machine from whomever stating it was my last chance to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I filed a complaint with Do Not Call.

AM I STILL ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST?! I'M GETTING ALL THESE TELEMARKETERS' CALLS! HOW DO I SEE IF I'M STILL ON THERE OR NOT?

I've recieved a number of these calls and they will not tell you who they work for. She said she's a "qualifier" and is affiliated with over 500 credit card companies. They are VERY evasive when pressed and usually just hang up. The criteria is carring a credit card balance of $4000 or more and currently paying an interest rate greater than 12.9%.

Sound a lot like a call I got from phone number 406-948-8048!

We have received several calls from this number, I usually hang up but today decided to press 1 to talk to a live person. The person answered by saying "Hello, did you press 1 to have your rates lowered?" I replied "no, I pressed 1 to let you know I am getting these calls...." and she hung up on me. I will be filing a complaint with Do Not Call. Very frustrating :(

I keep getting calls from this credit card company about reducing the rate,,,,when it gets so they want to get info I hang up...how do you stop this number from keep calling.  I thought I was on the do not call list....

Credit Card Services saying they will lower your rate

Caller ID says "Glendive MT".

Called them back.  Recorded message said "Thank you for calling back.  If you don't wish to receive calls about our special offers, and want to be put on our do not call list, please press 1."

Haven't been home when this 406-948-8117 calls and never leaves a message.  Also on the do not call registry but they continue.  I have a firm policy about not talking to people I cannot understand.  However, now that I know more about it I think I'll answer and see what happens.  If they continue they will be reported.  Good luck to all from the Bayou State of Louisiana!

The reason I know thst it is a scam is that I DON"T HAVE A CREDIT CARD!!  Duh! I don't know the company name-Caller ID said Unknown Name. When I answered it said "Hi,this is Jennifer. It was a recording.

these people keep calling all it's about getting a better rate on my credit card.. I DON"T have a credit card and no one in my house has one. this SCREAMS SCAM!

I am also on the DNC list.  They called my home today.  I do not owe on any credit cards, so obviously this is a scam.  I suggest the people running and working for this business take a good look at their character and start working for an honest living.

When I asked to be pulled from the list the guy said I needed to call another number which it turns out was a recording on "how to keep an idiot entertained". I think they use cell phones that don't receive calls so you can't even call them back.

I recieved a call from this number at 12:10 eastern daylight saying they could reduce my credit card rate.  This was on my answering device.

Add IN to that list!  I blocked a call from another number yesterday after searching it out. That number was different, but today I received a call with similar message from this number.  Obviously if you block their calls, they have alternate numbers to keep trying.

Hi. I also had a call from this number. I did not answer and it left a pre-recorded message about "lowering your interest rate on your account". I don't plan on ever calling. If you read this, take a sec and record your own experience.

Find an old computer and set it up as an answering machine. The program (I use Phone Tray) can respond to hundreds of numbers and play any wav file you wish then it hangs up. My favorite is a screaming fax machine linkup tone. Fight tech with tech.

Got a hang up call from this number.

They just called me.  Decided to answer the call and, after being put on hold for a bit, a person identifying herself as "Jamie Muller" said that I owed over $5,000 in credit cards (I don't) and that she could lower my debt.  I asked her how much she owed and stated what I owed was none of her business.  She then got very nasty and said that I was the one who owed money, not her.  Then she started calling me Debbie Mudwaser (not my name) and said something about if I didn't run up my bills I wouldn't be in trouble.  
Finally told her that she had reached a sorority house and there was no Debbie here.  (This is true.)  Then I asked for the name of her company and she said "it's called None of Your Business".  After numerous times of her insulting me, still calling me Debbie, and my telling her that she treated the wrong person like crap, she hung up.

Just got a call from these Bozos! Pressed one to get a human and I told the guy I was on the do not call list and I'd like my number removed from their data base. His reply was to say, "How's that working for you?" and hung up. I am NOT amused.

"Offer" to lower credit card rate.

I got numerous calls with a recorded message saying that it was last chance for a lower interest rate on my credit card. After getting numerous calls I pushed one just to see what would happen. The second I started asking questions they hung up on me, enough said.

Pressing 3 to discontinue future calls as reported in the previous post will guarantee you more calls. You will have confirmed that the number they called is a valid phone number, that people will actually answer phone when an unfamiliar number is calling and that they don't have or don't use caller ID and/or an answering machine. In addition, pressing 3 gives the scammers a valid phone number that people answer to sell to other scammers! This is a business all in itself!!

Definitely a scam since I just filed BK and have no credits cards to lower interest rates on.  Had me scratching my head!  I love this site, I always run numbers I don't know to find out everyone else is getting the same annoying calls and that I am not being singled out as a sucker :)
