Received automated call at 12:13 p.m. Oct. 21, 2008. Call was about lowing interest rates on credit card. I did not speak with a live representative, so do not know what their pitch might be.

How can we stop this harrassment? Apparently being on the Do Not Call list doesn't deter theem.

Recd call 4:00pm....automated...pushed 9 to speak to representative about"lowering my interest rate." Some named Stan answered reading a robotic like script. I asked what credit card company is this calling me...he hung up. Have been on Do Not Call List, but it seems to do no good.

Received automated call regarding lower interest rate. Pressed "9" to talk to someone. When young man answered, I said, "take my number off your calling list immediately." He responded "Immediately! That sounds like an order! I'm not real good with orders." and he hung up on me. WHO is this company, and how can I file a firm protest for their telephone rudeness?

This company called both my phone numbers within a 2 minute period. I experienced the same calling pattern last month. When I heard it was a recording, I hung up.

I recieved a call from 407-000-6543 & when my callwave answered it they hung up. Is their any way to get the real phone number of this company?
Rossi 2011-06-06 20:48:02 Unknown
Call came from Florida to Kansas @ 12:27 on 5-1-09. Call not answered and no message left. Posters on other sites identify this company as Card Holder Services and is a typical credit card rate scam.

ck 2011-06-06 20:48:02 Unknown

Go to www.donotcall.gov and file a complaint.
This is what I filed:
"Continually getting calls from this number - 407-000-8427.
They are also using 407-000-6543.
It's a telemarketing firm offering lower interest rates on credit cards. On one occasion, I connected to a customer service representative and told them I was on the DO NOT CALL List. Before I can tell them that I want to be removed from their calling list, I am immediately hung up on. Calling the number back results in a message that says the number cannot receive incoming calls. I cannot stop this firm from harassing me."
If enough people file a complaint, the government will fine them for every complaint they receive.

Call sounds like it's from Australia, saying that my account is safe but that they can help lower my interest rates. I asked which of my cards they were referring to, which the gentleman said they handle all four major cards, then suddenly, I was disconnected.

They have been calling my phone several times a day for the past few weeks, I spoke to a rep today and nicely explained that I am on the do not call list and wish to be removed from their call list. the rep explained that I need to be on the "international do not call list" and pay a $15 fee. (beyond frustrated at this point) I then asked if this is an international call and he responded yes, I then explained that this is my cell phone an every time they call it uses my minutes, and to stop calling, he responded with "aw honey, why aren't you on an unlimited plan? you need to get on an unlimited plan!" I just said "stop calling my phone" to which he replied "talk to you tomorrow!"
is there anywhere we can report this??????

Same thing as the rest. Only I hit 9 to take me off the list. I ask please remove me from your list. And He said "You know what F*** you, how about that. F*** you." I said "excuse me?" his response "f*** you" serously.
Chad 2009-12-06 18:17:53 Unknown
Pressed 9 to ask to take me off list and got cursed out by a middle eastern sounding guy.

credit card services is their scam--they want to have you give them your credit card number to "verify" they havew the right person and "correct" account to lower your interest. Give them some fictious number and let them go through all their palaver--then "innocently" tell them, you're sorry but have NO credit cards--telling them you are on the no call list doesn't work cause the repeat their garbage over and over about three/four times a week! It is a scam to "steal" from your credit card. when they ask for your credit card number--they then ask for your security number on the back of the card. With that number and your credit card number--they can steal you blind! Pressing 9, or 2 or any number to be removed from their listing-doesn't work!

Caller said they could lower my interest rate etc.... push 9. I did not because there was some a while back that when you pushed 9 it allowed them to dial long distance numbers at your expense. I simply hung up.

Pretty much the same. Call from Rachel from Credit Card Services, I hit 9, it rang four times then someone picked up and hung up. This is about the fourth or fifth time I have received this call. I actually do not have caller ID, but when I dialed #69 it told me the number.

Received call from "407-000-6543" stating something about lowering my interest rate on my credit cards and if I am interested push#9 now. I am on the telemarketer do not call list by the way. I pushed #9 to ask who is calling and why...he proceeded to ask me about my credit cards and wouldn't I like to lower my interest rate?? He arrogantly wanted to know how much I owe and where. I told him that wasn't any of his business. He told me I was rude for an old lady... which tells me he/they are hitting on elderly seniors.... how did he know how old I am ?? I told him not to call here again... he hung up !! Received call from here yesterday too... was on answering machine.

According to the PA State Police no number can start 000. If you see xxx-000-yyyy it is an invalid phone number. The phone company has been hacked and it cannot be traced. They are trying to get your info for identity theft, credit card fraud, or other nefarious scam. If you can get them to offer a real phone number to call, you can report it, but otherwise there is not much that can be done aside from finding someone in congress to pressure the phone company to stop the exploits. Good luck with that.
