We received a phone call @ 10:00 a.m. from a strange number 407-000-8741.  We did not answer knowing it was a STRANGE Number.  Caller did not leave a message.  Anyone know anything about these strange prefixes?

Don't have caller ID - answered phone today, 2/27/09 at 3:12 p.m.  Robo call that said calling about "your credit card...want to offer you a lower rate."  Have received a call from either this number or a similar company.  I decided to call back by pressing "9" as advised so that I could find out name of company to report to FCC as I'm on "Do Not Call" list.  I asked the guy for the name of the company, he refused to give me the name, and rudely asked me my name.  When I asked to speak to his manager, he said, "the manager was on vacation."  I told the guy I needed to speak to someone in charge and asked him if he understood what I just asked?  He told me, sarcastically, rudely and in a loud tone, "No, I'm mentally retarded." and then, called me "a w***e" and hung up on me.  If anyone knows the name of this company, please post so we can report this company.

i answered a call from 407-000-8741 and a recording said something about card services and to touch 9 so i did and asked for the company name so i could report as i am on do not call list,the male told me Randolth sear and gave me another number 800-669-3825 which he then told me was fake;big surprise huh

Called at the dinner hour. I don't answer. Says out of area

Call on November 18, 2009, They left no message so I don't bother.

Said they would lower my interest rate on credit card to 6% and to press #9 on my phone.

They just rang my fax line. Did not answer.

Keep getting calls from this number..called ID say's Florida and then this number.  Woman said she was from "card services"...and I hung up.  Where do these jokers get the numbers? How can we stop them from calling?

I'm getting these every day.  I've mentioned I'm on the do not call list, the moment you ask them who you are they hang up.  I used to work at Experian and at the time it was illegal as a company to not provide information when asked like company name.

Obviously the automated lines are for all sorts of "deals" and it just rolls back to an answering center.  I don't care where these calls are originating from, they should be pursued and fined heavily.

I ALWAYS take this call.  They are trying to scam you and get your credit card #.  I love to mess with these guys.  I play it straight with a fake name and phone number and try to waste their time.  Then I tell them that they must be very stupid if the only way they can make $ is buy scaming people over the phone.  Then I say a few things that cant be said here.  Don't get upset...get even.

Left no message.  I will not pick up when the called ID shows this.  I am also on the "Do Not Call" list.

I got this call too....an answering system told me to press 9 and talk to someone about lowering my credit card intrest. I hung up. I remember about a year and a half ago i got this same call and i pressed 9 and got a very rude man yelling at me "why wouldnt you want to lower your intrest rate"! i told him i didnt have any credit card debt and he insisted that ALL AMERICANS have credit card debt. What a jerk! who do we contact about this?

they just don't give up.  Every other day.  Won't tell how to get in touch the company or any information as to why they won't stop calling.  guess they figure they can ware you down.

I also rec. a call today from this # with a prerecorded message saying that it was a call re: my credit cards and that there was no problem but to press 9 and be connected with a customer services rep.  I pressed 9 and there was a man that claimed to be with CARD SERVICES.  When I reverifed the name of the company he stated Card Servies.  I then asked for a number to reach his company he hung up on me.

Robocall from (407) 000-8741 with a "lower your credit card interest rate" scam. I've filed complaints with the FCC and the National Do Not Call Registry.

Caller said press 9 to lower credit card rates.  Said he was with Cardmember Services.  Told him I was on the Do Not Call list and he rudely blurted out, "you have to contact Visa maam" and hung up on me!

They didn't leave any message. They called at 2:20pm on todays date at 2/20/09. I don't answer calls that says unknown name.

I filed a complaint with the federal do not call list- that is the only way to stop this. Caller Id should be required to transmit a number that you can call someone back at

I'd love to get a live person on the phone so I could waste some of their time, but would like to avoid a phone charge for thousands a minute.

I don't answer calls of this type.  It left a voicemail, but it was just a hangup.

Called asking if i wanted ot reduce interest rates, asked to be removed from their list, was asked why I did not want to lower my rate, informed them i am on donotcall.gov, then was promptly hung uup on.

Just received a call from this number. Did not leave any message. Caller ID indicates "Name Unavailable"...most likely your typical telemarketer.

Caller was offering to lower my credit card interest rates. When I said that I had no credit cards they quickly hung up. This is a scam to get the card numbers. After all why go to the trouble of hacking a website when you can get some people to volunteer their credit card numbers?
