Just got the call claiming I won a sweepstakes.  I will not call back.

I have an invalid in my home! These damn fools from 408-278-5925 are upsetting him no end....How do I turn them in as it IS a scam and should be turned in to FCC or someone durn close to them! Got any ideas?

Also got a call about sweepstakes... calling elderly people - wanting them to send a check for 300 + in order to receive the 20 some thousand they supposedly won from the sweepstakes... elderly person said send me your check first and when i see it is legitimate I will send you the 300+ and the person hung up ... sick of horrible desperate people... get a job and earn your own d _ _ _ money!!!

My call from 407-278-5925 was the same as listed by others.  I received a message on my home number. The caller stated  that he was from the accounts service department and that he was not sure if he had the right number, but he asked if I remember entering a sweepstakes a few weeks ago.   He left a number for me to call (the same number that I listed above).

got a call regarding a sweepstakes I entered... bogus also received a 2nd call from this man from a totally different number 972-994-6936

Received calls from (407) 278-5925 and (609) 447-4691 with exactly the same script.

Guy (with a speech impediment I might add) has left several messages within the last few weeks asking if I remember entering a sweepstakes a while back - I don't - Not calling back.

As the other writers....I told that they were not sure if they had the correct number and asked if I had entered a sweepstakes a few months back, and they left this phone number.
I had received a similiar call a few days ago and I asked which sweepstake and they repeated the question...I said "tell me the name of the sweepstake and I tell you if I entered"....they hung up...hmmm.

Call from male stated someone was a sweepstakes winner - (for unknown person).   Caller ID shows Oviedo, FL

Today I got a call from a guy who said he was from the Consumer Protection Agency, and he asked if I remembered entering a sweepstakes four months ago. Of course, I didn't. He then explained that I had won $325,000.00. I thought to myself, COOL! He then went on to explain that if Federal Express was going to deliver the cashier's check to me, it would be Sunday afternoon between 4:00 - 5:00. He asked if I would be home then. He also said that the check needed to be insured, and that it would cost $285.00, and asked if I had enough money to do that.

My initial response to him was that IF I had won a sweepstakes, it would not be delivered on a Sunday, and that I would not have to pay insurance, if I indeed, had won. He hung up on me. AWWWWW!

The caller ID said his number was #407-278-5925, and the letters OVIEDO were displayed.

I googled the number and it said it was a land line in the city of Oviedo, Florida.

Got a call from this # on my cell phone. No message left. I called it back and got a voicemail that stated it was consumer protection agency and to leave my number because all customer service reps were busy.

Got a call from this number stating that I should call a different number (supplied, but not able write down) in regards to a "sweepstakes I entered".  I didn't enter a sweepstakes anytime recently, so this is probably fake.
