I talked to someone I know there recently and they are still going strong.  They are still calling through all the people they pissed off by slamming them with additional at&t products to raise their bills and are now switching them to multiple other companies.  He mentioned Birch, LDA, Preffered and a few other companies.  He said after they've been ripped off by those companies they call again and bring them back to at&t.   I can't believe they are still getting away with it.  He also said at&t helped them change their name from Protel to Lighthouse to make it look like at&t stopped them but they are really helping them.

I know the Las Vegas office is still slamming people real bad.   Protel is one off the names I worked for.  The owners there tell us to say whatever we need to and they'll clean it up later.  They also used the name Evergreen while I was there and Venture Group.  The best part is that after they blast dial all these people and give at&t a bad name they have other teams of CLEC companies that call the same people and they switch them away from at&t.

Yeah that's nothing, I worked for a company like that.  We would do everything imaginable to slam people using at&t.  AT&T is too stupid to shut these people down.  They make them too much money.  We would Slam their DSL, Their Long Distance, everything you can think of.  Then our IT would cut the tapes and send them to at&t.  After we were done pissing off all at&t's customers we would call from another company and switch them away from at&t to Birch.  I did this for a few months and regret ever dealing with those scumbags.  AT&T can't shut them down because they keep changing their name.  I know they go by Advanced Integrated Communications, New Choice Communications, Protel Communications, MegaCom and a few others their are located in Las Vegas.  If you ever get a call from them hang up they are really bad news.

I know that for the most part you guys have been burned too many times by scammers like this but I just want to let you know that one of the main reasons for AT&T bringing on Solutions Providers was to eliminate bad customer service.  The ironic part is that some of the SP's out there ruin a great program for the rest of us that are truly helping AT&T's customers.  We are allowed to sell for AT&T and sell under the exact same prices and promotions that AT&T can offer you directly.  The main benefit of having an SP as your AT&T rep is that you should be getting the one on one support that every consumer wants and needs.  Instead of calling and speaking to Bob one call with a long issue and then having to call again and reexplain the same long issue to Tom and so on and so on you will have one point of contact to call for all of your Telecom needs.  As with everything in life it only takes one or two bad apples to ruin a great idea and program.  I would recommend searching on Google for AT&T Solution Provider Champions and going through one of those companies veruss any of the people calling you and being completely unprofessional.  Telemarketing is a huge marketing source for all large businesses and all businesses need sales in one way or another to stay in business.  My point is that sales reps sometimes get a bad reputation because of guys like the ones you talk about above but without sales reps everyone wouldn't have a job because if you really think about it every business relies on someone down in the trenches making sales.  Dealing with an AT&T SP Champion is no different than dealing with AT&T and you will receive the one on one support by calling your sales rep or their manager for all your Telecom needs. By dealing with an SP Champion you are letting us do all the leg work and it eliminates you from having to wait on hold, wasting your valuable time.  We have huge dedicated departments at AT&T that handle all of our sales or customer service issues and can have a billing issue or DSL problem fixed for you within minutes when you will still be on hold.  You can also call AT&T corporate to fix billing issues or anything else even if you buy from a SP.  That seems to always be the biggest misunderstanding is that SP and SP Champions are no different than dealing with AT&T corporate.  You buy from us or from them at the same prices and promos and you bill comes from AT&T, your repaier comes from AT&T and all of your other services come from AT&T.  Just because our company name isn't AT&T doesn't mean that we are not selling directly for AT&T and our SP channel produces more volume than many other channels within AT&T.  It's just like when you walk through the mall especially when you walk into a cell phone store where they sell more than one cellular carrier.  The majority of the stands at the mall and stores where you buy your cell phones from are not in any way Verizon or AT&T corporate employees, they are distributor's for these massive corporations.  Which is what the SP's used to be called which was AT&T Distributor but no matter what new terms they come up with for our group we are constantly going to clean up the bad apples messes they create and I sincerely apologize for any problems that any of you have experienced.  I encourage you to call AT&T directly and ask for their Complaint Dept. because they will deal with an SP that has as many complaints as I have seen on this site by simply getting rid of them.  AT&T nor the rest of the SP Champions want SP's out there acting like this and ruining our reputation because they are trying to slam customers into ordering something they don't want.  We want them out of the program just as bad as you guys do so please file your complaints with AT&T so they actually get to the Executives that control this particular SP's future with AT&T.  Any AT&T number can connect you with this department and I encourage you to please make those calls so AT&T can get rid of the bad apples so maybe one day the SP Champions can continue to help our customers without having to clean up other bad apples messes they created by lying or slamming customers.  I hope this helps explain what a SP is and that our intention isn't to upset AT&T customers or our competitions customers it is to provide you with excellent customer service and sales support.  We are working on eliminating the bad apples and just this year alone AT&T got rid of 50% of the SP's out there that had complaints like these above.  From the looks of their website they may have been one of the ones AT&T got rid of because I don't see anything on their site indicating they represent AT&T and they would have our SP logo if they were still selling.  Good Luck to all of you and Please check out this link with the 2010 SP champions which is on AT&T's website http://www.corp.att.com/alliance/champions.html

Forget it, nothing you ever do will get Emile fired.  He is one of the "chosen" ones at AT&T.  Believe me, many people within the organization see what he gets away with every single day and nothing is ever done about it.  His entire organization is slimy.

Got yet another call from "AT&T" stating that an unauthorized change had been made to our business account. Put him on hold and called the small business center at the "real" AT&T. A very nice lady assured me that the account was fine. I tried to 3way this dude with AT&T but he hung up. I gave the AT&T representative his number (hooray for *69) but she could not get anyone to answer!

These folks have nothing to do with AT&T!!!! Beware and try to get them 3wayed with the real deal.

How much effort? The number is 407-278-7021, the address in Orlando is all over the web - just google the number - there's a link to their website a few messages down? Either AT&T approves of their actions or is totally incompetent. Our company is looking at alternative phone services for both our business and cell phones. If AT&T won't help us stop these idiots then we will not renew our contracts when they expire.

What is your company's phone number.  I would like to look at the order history to determine who placed an order on your account to determine what company is responsible.

They do not work for me, nor AT&T.  They are not an approved vendor within our program and I have made every effort to identify this organization and ask them to cease and desist, but have been unable to make contact with them.

I have received several calls from the number 407-278-7021 requesting that we only VERIFY a change in our account and that they were NOT trying to sell a product. I work for a large lawfirm in Atlanta. I refused to verify anything without clearing with our AT&T account rep first.  "KIP" gave me a return number that he stumbled over while reciting and, much to my expectation, the number was disconnected. Our AT&T rep verified that this is NOT AT&T and that it is "ATT Solution Provider".  Due to FCC rules, other providers by law are permitted to review AT&T billing and offer/sell their services as well.  If you verify this change, you'll find that the service they want you to "verify" will be slightly different than what you actually have.  Thus, you have a new provider that will make the changes to your account and you are none the wiser.  BEWARE - TOTAL SCAM.

I just got a call from this guy saying someone named Brian Flowers and I were the only listed callers on my account and that someone had changed the plan to a 10,000 minute plan.  When I told him I knew no one named Brian Flowers he said I had a serious overage on my account and when I got my bill I was going to have over 300.00 in long distance charges.  I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was the supervisor.  He laughed and said He was the supervisor.  I asked him to hold while I went to my desk to write down his name and he hung up on me.  The number is the 407-278-7021.  An earlier writer mentioned to report to PSC  What is that and how do I report?

This caller has called my business line at least every day this week.  First calls left no message, the last one the caller left a message I could not understand.  A google search indicated it was a scam, trying to somehow change my long distance service.  If this caller calls again, the call will be answered with a loud whistle.  Maybe that deter them more than the do not call registry.

They work for a guy named Emile Garcia with ATT. VERY SLIMEY and a major scam. Emile can be reached at 407-245-2025. We got a call too and investigated it. File a complaint with the PSC. That will get you somewhere. There are some major fines for these types of violations.

Caller says he is from AT&T. Asks you if you authorized a change in your minutes to your AT&T long distance plan. This change does not exist. From what a woman at AT&T told me, they get you to say "yes" to a question, then flip it so that you authorize changes to your plan.
