I am a retired cop and they keep calling for donations. But screw them, I read 98% of the proceeds go to the caller and the rest to the troopers. I blocked the number, but they will just call from another. What a racket!!!!!

Police do not ask for donations. Just ask your local police dept.

Caller ID shows "Unassigned." Asking for donations for a police benefit. Very hesitant and hung up when told my brother is a Police Officer that we verify all these things through. Suspect this is a scam or as Jax Joe suggests above.

Caller ID shows "Unassigned Number". Sounds like Telemarketer scammers who keep 98% of the donations. I presume that these people graduate to Capitol Hill lobbyists. Should I $ay Capital Hill?

called asking for min. $15 donation. florida troopers assoc. wanted $50 donation first a man than a woman was on phone. not sure if safe. they will send a packet.
