Same as above - number comes up as FLA CARD SERVIC - 407-358-6356.  Number is different. Again if you call back its exactly the same voice message as this number (ending 9999) and says the line is out of service. Both numbers have identical recordings. I don't ever answer these calls.

This company is a royal annoyance!! They are also rude. They keep calling no matter what you tell them or no matter which number you choose. And they hang up immediately if you ask them to remove your number or tell them you are on the do not call list.

Like a lot of you I have been receiving a lot more calls than in the past. I guess they figure we won't hire an attorney to sue them and the FCC and FTC are too busy to handle all of these buys. I bought a call blocker and it works great. You block a number and that number never rings again. You can block up to 100 callers. You can manually enter a number or if the number is in the display you just press "block" twice and they are blocked from now on. A worthwhile, and peaceful, investment. http://www.digitone.com/

Tom,   read back over some of the previous posts and there are some pretty good explanations given by some of the posters.  Some simply do not understand how the DNC works and the actual criminals who are making all of the calls are unaffected by it.  All of use hate these scumbags,  but I have yet to read a post about how walmart,  RadioShack,  Pennys, or any of the thousands of other legitimate retailers have been harassing people.
That is because the DNC is being observed by the majority of the legitimate businesses and neighbors that we do business with.  The DNC is just a list. Not a machine that smashes telemarketers. It's like putting a sign on a Bank front door saying DO Not Rob and expecting the robbers to observe it.  It is for legitimate people to obtain a list of those who do not wish to be called for sales purposes.  And for most,  it works.
In reading all the posts going back months,  you will find that they all refer to the Scumbags and thieves who are the ones calling.  Hucksters,  Con artists, and people out to seperate us from our money.  The DNC can't offer total immunity,  especially to these people.  I hate the scum as bad as everyone else,  but I realize that those legitimate retailers are complying with the DNC or else we'd all have to hire a secretary to answer the additional phone calls.  If walmart treated us like those thieves,  Walmart would be out of business soon.
I hope I haven't sounded offensive because I certainly am not trying to be.  This Illegal telemarketing thing is frustrating to all of us and leaves us helpless to stomp on their heads.   keep the faith.

This number calls all the time,  day and night.  We are so fed up with these harassing phone calls, being on the Do Not Call List is useless as far as I am concerned.  How do these jerks get our numbers anyhow??  I am looking into legal matters.

Mary,  the Do Not Call Registry can't block scammers. They are thieves, liars and crooks. Nothing  short of government intervention really affects them. This is not the job of the DNC. The DNC was designed to keep the Honest companies  respectful of those who do not wish to receive telemarketing calls from legitimate companies wishing to do business over the phone. Those predator scammers who call you could care less about you and your rights and the DNC is based upon legal telemarketers respect for the law.

Caller ID shows V07191058480024 as the caller and the number 407-358-9999. It is a recorded msg asking to lower my interest rate that is about to expire. I did not push any number to speak with a rep or to discontinue the call - I just hung up. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, but it doesn't seem to be working

WOW!!  Boy Howdy that'll work.....you go girl!!!  I don't understand why everyone else hasn't figured out this fool-Proof technique to nail the scammers to the fence post. No reason it shouldn't work for all of us.   And since the DO NOT CALL LIST (or should that be registry)  doesn't work,  lets all just call them and opt out and get off the list...That way all of the legitimate companies can legally call us and mix and mingle with the illegal ones and we can start answering the phone 10 times as much.
Sounds like a plan to me.......Let's go skinny dipping down at the crick and celebrate.
Note:   I would recommend not using the whistle.  That has been known to get your phone number posted in a lot of places that you don't want it posted.  For example,  your phone number may become the number that the very same company you whistled at posts as the number for people to call in order to opt out of being called by that same company.  200 + phone calls a day cussing you and eventually you get MA Bell to sell you a new phone number.    Everything has its price and unfortunately  the only practical thing (or should that be Thang) to do is continue reporting the calls and try to stimulate this government of ours to do something constructive for a change.   Hang in there Jane....

That's a good question George.  Not making light of your question but believe it or not,  the No Call List does in fact do some good.  Right now only the bottom feeding scum buckets who are illegal are doing the calling.
The No call list means nothing to them.  Think though if the No Call List was abolished and all of the companies who are legitimate were to start calling too.  I remember a few years back, before the no call list,  when we were getting plastered by companies who were legitimately offering services and soliciting over the phone.
Now days these legit companies are pretty good at following the rules.  But,  combine them with the non-legit scumbags and it would be more than just a daily irritant.  There are many loop holes in the No call list that allows legitimate callers to legally call, i.e.  charities,  political,  even calls where it is legal for a company to call you as long as the ultimate purpose is to set up a face to face appointment with a representative of the company. (siding, window, roofing companies often do this)   Anyway,  didn't mean to ramble on but the Do Not Call list is providing a valuable service that is often overlooked or hard to see in lieu of the scam artist and scumbags harassing us daily over shadowing the good that it does.
Keep the faith...and maybe someday our govern't will get off their duffs and aggressively go after them.....

Got a call today and pressed 9 to speak to a live operator. Got someone in India and told them I had my number listed as do not call and had asked them 8 times previously to remove me. He asked me to hold on a minute and then hung up. This call came from a number shown as unknown on my phone. An hour later I got a call from 407-358-9999. Both calls were from Rachel at Card Services.

People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office and also file with:
http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
If enough people keep complaining then maybe something will get done.

The calls are being made from outside the US however most of the call centers (where you actually talk to someone after pressing 1) are in the US and the companies making the money from the scam are owned by people in the US. They will charge thousands of dollars on your credit card without performing any services.

Many of these calls are coming from Costa Rica and India and they are using spoofed (false) numbers, which in itself is illegal. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in this country and they know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC. Keep complaining to the FTC and FCC, and start bugging our politicians to pass laws to make it punishable in criminal court instead of handing out fines that they don't pay. Another course of action is to contact phone companies to find out why they won't block spoofed numbers. With today's technology that should be an easy thing to do, unless they are somehow profiting from the use of their systems.

The criminals behind this operation aren't going to pay attention to you asking to be removed from their list. Their calls cost them nothing and they can make a million of them a day so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number.
Unfortunately blowing an air horn or whistle doesn't work either. Their headset have noise dampeners plus they are expecting it. However with that said if it makes you feel better then by all means give it a shot.

For anyone thinking of using Special Information Tones (or as they're called in the industry SIT tones) to fake a non working phone number, they won't work. Since around 2001-2002, the costs of digital business lines have dropped dramatically, along with Voice over IP (Internet) telephone service. Neither of these use the SIT tones as the call information is carried separate from the audio.
This separate call information tells the calling party digitally if the call was answered, busy, voice mail, forwarded, rejected, etc. This renders SIT tones useless. Also the TeleZapper products that used to be on the market used this method as well, and were rendered ineffective for the same reasons.
It is also through this separate call information message that the spoofed caller ID information is transmitted.

Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone.  The Telephone Consumer Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for each violation.

Pacific Telecom Communications Group
Follow JD's recommendations in the blog and stop them at the source.

Many of the disposable numbers come from Pacific Telecom Communications Group and they are currently under investigation and in the midst of various lawsuits. (The principles involved have been part of actions by the FCC under other business names). These businesses have ripped people off for millions of dollars, yet have paid only a couple of thousand dollars in fines. The only way to stop them is to throw them in prison for a few years to make this criminal activity less attractive.

The Oregon Public Utilities Commission has revoked Pacific Telecom's certificate to provide telecom services in Oregon.

The Indiana Attorney General?s Office filed lawsuits against:
Consumer Credit Group and Proactive Planning Solutions of Arizona for violating Indiana?s Do Not Call Law and Auto-Dialer Act known as the robo-call law. Both companies violated the Credit Service Organization Act and Deceptive Consumer Sales Act by not obtaining $25,000 surety bonds with the state and collecting money upfront without performing any services.
Debt Zero of California for collecting money up front, failing to provide services or a refund and operating without a $25,000 surety bond.
Clear One Advantage of Maryland and Credit Arbitrators of Texas for violating the Credit Service Organization Act and the Deceptive Consumer Sales Act by not obtaining the required surety bonds.

Proof that current laws mean nothing to these scum suckers. Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. These criminals need to be charged with Federal Felonies and subjected to significant jail time. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on inability to pay. The FTC settles for the minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future telemarketing. The criminals sign off, then go right back to business as usual. These same people under different companies have been sued in the past and have only paid a minimal fine. Here are just a few:

Write your Congressmen and Senators. We need CRIMINAL penalties against the companies that are profiting from these calls. Follow the money, slap them in prison, no one left to outsource to overseas boiler rooms, problem solved. Since they are operating across borders it should become a federal felony and should be handled by the FBI under the RICO Act.

Fed up......
when a Robo call is generated,  the computer reads the amount of time that a person stays on the line to listen to the message.  The Idea is that if a person listens to most of or the entire message,  they are possibly interested but uncertain.  Therefore,  the Robo calls you back more frequently to try to establish personal contact, hoping to hit the jackpot.    When your answering machine answered,  it indicated that you were listening and tagged you for call backs.  Best thing to do,  when you can,  is to pick up the phone and count to 2,  then hang up.  You show no interest when you do that and the computer notes it. You will still get calls,  but not as frequent.  Gosh I hate those lowlife people....

Joanna,  your number no longer has to be re-registered once you registered it.  The DNC Registry has become a permanent list maintained on a national level.   However,  should you choose to remove your name, you must contact them and opt out.  It would be nice to have a button on your phone that you could push and blow up their Robo-computers.
Good Luck

Toia,  just my opnion but i don't thing it has anything to do with it.  These calls have been going on for years and people such as myself who have never had any credit card gets them just as much as all others.  I believe it is just the typical  ROBO calling of sequential numbers hoping to hit the jack pot.  Otherwise they would screen out those who were not interested in biting but they don't keep track of the results of numbers called and they have no Idea who the names are of the persons holding those numbers.  To them It is just a crap shoot and the DNC Registry means absolutely nothing to them because they are illegal anyway.

These people have been calling for some time now.  I've opted for option 3 for them to take us off their do not call back list.  I've spoken to their representative(s) and have explained to them that we do not USE CREDIT CARDS. I've had 22 surgeries now in 7 years and I have a brain shunt and I'm sick in bed all the time and these jokers call all times of the day and wake me up.  It is so disturbing to me, I get phone call after phone call all day long from meatballs like this.  I never get to rest.  And this means that I don't heal :(   Someone has to be able to put a stop to these jokers. 407-358-9999 Bad Bad # :P~
