I received a call & the caller ID showed "Withheld". At the end of the sales pitch, there was an opportunity to leave my name & number. I left my information so I could ask why they called me even though my number has been on the FTC Do Not Call list for years. On their return call, they forgot to withhold their caller id info. I asked him to verify the company name and that I had never done business with them in the past. He started his sales pitch again but then he must have figured that I was not interested and he said “you’re a miserable prick and I don’t care what you do” even before I had the chance to remind him that he was in violation of the FTC laws. When I call the number, I get a recording saying that I have reached the offices of "Vacation Getaways”.

That same guy also had some choice words for me as well.  He said he was going to take care of me and "B***h Slap" me.  I am wondering how to do a formal complaint against this company?

First call was from a blocked number, and was automated. I gave a fake name and "Kevin James" called back. Called twice daily until I answered on the third evening. I continually asked how he obtained my number. He evaded and asked if I wanted to be taken off the list. I asked twice more and he became rude and said he'd take me off the call list and hung up. From all the reports (from a couple other sites too) I'm surprised I didn't get cussed out. I called the number again and left a nice long message of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." I hope he enjoys it.

Not my real name, obviously. Same deal as "Anon" in the Vancouver, WA area; but I live in Newberg, OR and the robocall came to my cell phone. So there's two violations: a robocall, and telemarketing to a cell phone (which also happens to be on the Federal "Do Not Call" list). I am filing with the Florida State AG, the Oregon State AG, and the Federal Trade Commission.

Received a prerecorded message about being selected for some free vacation in Williamsburg, VA. It included something about a timeshare, so I gave a fake name so I could ask the person how he got my number. About two days later he called twice in the evening around 7pm. Next day he called in the morning and the evening. I answered the last one at 7:59pm and asked how he obtained my number. He replied that I was selected from the local area, and again I asked how exactly he obtained my number. He asked if I wanted to be taken off the list, and I asked again. He grew very rude and said I'll be taken off the list and hung up.

I just returned the call to request my number be taken off their call list. I informed the scammer criminal on the other end that he was in violation of the law and that I was reporting him to the National Do Not Call Registry. He answered with an obscene, threatening tirade.

I have received this call on my work cell, my personal cell, and my husband's cell. We are in the Vancouver, WA area, but have Portland, OR cell phone numbers. Regardless of the different area code, we are clearly being targeted as Vancouver residents, as the original recorded message (private number, I feigned interest so they would call me back with a listed number I could report, and it worked) states that the "vacation deal" is for Vancouver residents. Pretty scary, I don't know how they know where we live. I am going straight to www.myfloridalegal.com and report these brazen scammers, and you should too!

Received a call several times on my cell and finally was answered one.  What followed after I politely declined to listen to his spiel and said "not interested thank you" was a stream of extremely obscene invective where he asked for my home address and offered to come to my home and face me "man-to-man" and would then ravash my wife!  I have never heard such an obscene tirade before.

Jan 5 '10 got a call on my cell which is on dnc list. Incoming call showed "private number" so I took it thinking it was a friend. It was recorded pitch for some Orlando vacation scam, a timeshare probably. Did some follow up, it is "Kevin James" & Vacation Getaways, which lists address as 7650 Comrow St., Kissimmee, FL., 34747. I contacted Fla. Atty Genl Bill McCollum's office at 1-866-966-7226 & only had couple minutes wait to actually speak to a "citizens service analyst." She advised go to their website www.myfloridalegal.com, follow links "consumer protection" then "online complaint form," then fill it out & submit. The more complaints, the better the chance the AG's office will investigate!

Hi! I just got a call from him earlier. I asked him how did I get the free tickets? He got pissed and said he will just give it to someone interested and hangged up.

I hope that somebody can stop his scam.

I got calls on both my home phones and my cell phone.  All were the same pre-recorded message regarding a free vacation.  All 3 of my phones are on the National Do Not Call Registry, so these calls are violating Federal Law...the call to my cell phone violates even more Federal Laws.  The third time I got this call, I answered their questions and they called me back.  This time, it was a live person.  I got their information.  It was Kevin James from Vacation Getaways.  When I informed him that he was in violation of Federal Law, he called me a few really nasty things, then hung up.  This told me that he was fully aware that he was violating the law and was not happy that I knew it too.  I filed Form 1088G...to have them investigated for voilating Federal FCC laws.
