Gave this caller a spam email not associated with anything from UCF. Northview dorms just emailed this email.

Coincidence or these people decide to just go sell them information?

UCF and their Police is concerned. Was contacted yesterday by Officer Vargas (Unit 79) within a half an hour of speaking to the President's office. He is doing some checking himself, but can not start an investigation before somebody (student or Parent) has been to their office to file a complaint.
He stated that this unfortunately happens a lot and it takes parents like us to educate and protect our kids from predators like that.
The Predators will properly tell students that they have qualified for the money, then get the student Bank info under the cloak that they need the info so they can electronically deposit the money, where after they proceed to access the student's account and withdraw lots of money illegally.
If any student has already gotten taken in someway it raises to a whole different level and the police have to take action.
Lets be diligent to stop scammers like this in their track.

I was out today, but when I returned home I was told that a "Rachelle Lasche" had called for me three times. My father had taken one of the calls, and when asked what the call was about the woman said something to the effect of, "Well, he doesn't want to miss out on this wonderful opportunity." Of course they won't say what this "opportunity" was. I just graduated from UCF, so I don't know why they would be continuing to call me.

Called UCF police after my daughter got a call from this number and they said to call my local police. They didn't seem too concerned...

Got multiple calls from this number. Last time I picked up they asked for my daughter. Hung up when I asked to leave a message. Caller ID said Michelle Lasch.

Got two calls in a span of 3 hrs. No one spoke either time when I answered the phone.

This number has called THREE times today asking for me.... damn right the UCF police better be investigating this.

She asked for my daughter and was very rude when I asked if I could help her, she said "you already have".  Now, I wonder what she wants with my daughter.

Got the same call from the same number, tried to say he was part of the Alliance for Internet Freedom and asked the same questions.  Asked for my e-mail and I asked who he's with.  He ended up calling UCF University of California Fresno

Got a phone call from this number looking for my son...who is attending UCF.  I told it him it was the wrong number and asked for a message...he hung up

Called about a UCF Scholarship. Asked about housing plans.
Couldn't find phone number registered to any group.
They wanted town I live in and email address.
