Received in excess of six calls from this outfit. On next to last call waited until someone came on and complained about unsolicited calls/no call list. Said they would remove name and hung up before I could get more info about company. They called again today.

Class action suit should be profitable ???

They call me almost daily lately. (You have to press #1 to get to talk to someone). I asked them to please put my # on their do not call list and the woman hung up. They called again today and I asked where they were from. The girl (Martha), so she said, claimed to be in Tampa. When I told her I needed to call her back because the baby was crying and again asked where she was from and if she was in the area, she changed the story to Orlando. Then I asked for her phone number and she said she had no phone that I could call her back on. I said, "You have no phone and no address"! I said, apparently you do have a phone because you are talking to me on one. She hung up.

I called to FCC and reported them. I also reported them on the national do not call government complaint site at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

I hope you also report these annoying ripoff artist creeps!

I agree with GJ. I too have been on the Do Not Call list for YEARS and somehow or another this number called me a couple of days ago. Oddly, when you run it through FoneFinder to see what company owns/services the number, it comes back as New Cingular Wireless....

I had the same experience - they did not leave a message. Think I'll head over to the Do Not Call site and file a complaint myself!

Just rec'd a call from these creeps on my cell (a big no-no; registered on Do Not Call).  Automated woman's voice: "Home Energy Group - gov't offering $2900 - act now - press 1 for more info or to make an appt" but I did nothing of the sort.  Am reporting # to DoNotCall, for whatever good that will do.  Thanks, everyone for your posts!

I receive a call from this same number on my cell phone just about every other day.  They never leave a message, and I ounce tried to call the number back because it came up as a cell phone # on my caller Id, but their phone didn't ring at all with a Full voice mailbox.

Received an automated called to my cell phone saying they were from the electric company. I hung up before I heard any more. Tried calling back to leave a do not call message, but the mailbox was full.

Telemarketing to cell phone.  Total scam.

same deal here an hour ago. i never pick up calls on my cell if they aren't logged in so i know who it is. no message was left. was about to call them back. but thanks for the posts. i agree muse, they need to all go play in traffic.

Had a phone call from this number an hour or so ago.  I was busy and didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  Caller ID just said "Florida Call".  Thanks for the info from the posters above!

Absolute Scam!  Don't answer them.  Don't tell them anything about yourself if you do.

received another call from this number on 04/21/2010

Rec'd an unsolicited call from this number April 20 2010.  Caller said it was "the energy conservation group" and was advising available federal grants to homeowners involving clean energy, and that their inspectors were in the neighborhood tomorrow; do I want an appointment?     Upon my questions of:

*Who is sponsoring you?  
*link me to your website so I can learn more ?  
*send me information by mail?
*where can I view your contract with your sponsors?

I got only vague answers or none at all.   I politely ended the phone call.  My guess is they are trying to talk homeowners into buying energy "improvements" that they will claim the Feds will pay for.  Or maybe something worse.

constantly receive phone calls from 407-408-8581.  Reported them to FCC.  They claim to want to make an appointment to come to your home for a free promotional assessment of how to save on your electric bill.  They also claim that this is promoted by the "Federal Government".  This is a scam run out of the Orlando Fl area and NO ONE should be fooled.

Caller ID 407-408-8581 UNKNOWN.  Screened.  Called back received message "answer box full."
