Yet another energy scam. The line that they're from the electric/power company is BS because (a)this number hasn't been given out to any companies or utilities and (b)I don't have an account with any utility or power company. Complete scam.

Just got a call from this number, said "Hello" and heard dead air.  Normally this means the system is waiting for another "hello" or other comment, which automatically connects you with the caller. If you don't say anything else, it should eventually hang up automatically. Here's an idea...If you DO talk with someone, tell them "Yes, I'm interested, but you'll need to contact the owner of the house at 850-414-3990. Then ask for Dave (or any other name you like)."  When they call, it should be answered by the State of Florida Attorney General's office for fraud.  Again, it's just a thought...

Caller asked if this was Mrs. ----. I said yes and she hung up. It's not the first time this number has called my home, but first I answered the call.

Called my house 8:30pm, didn't recognise the number so I didn't answer.  I don't answer Out of Area, numbers I don't know, or any number that has a V attached to it.  V calls are VOIP calls and are scams.    If per chance I do answer one of these calls and they start with their sales tactics I stop them and say "YOU'LL NEED TO CONTACT THE OWNER OF THE HOME AND I WHEN YOU GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM, TELL THEM I'M LOOKING FOR THEM TOO.".  They don't know what to say back. They hang up and stop calling.....   This tactic Works for me

This is Alternative Energy, they tell you about your utility bill going up.  If you ask who they are or any other questions they hang up on you.. then they still call back the next day.  Maybe people should start letting them come out to check the houses for energy...and give them a nice surprise when they arrive.  LIke soaking them with the garden hose!  Or worse!

This number keeps calling and hanging up. (they call every day)  I called back and its says that the number is unavailable.

Made the mistake of answering this call...  woman said she was from the electric co. and wanted to know it I still owned my home.  Said it was none of her business and hung up.  Sooo sick of these friggin scammers!

Two calls within two days from this number trying to sell me a fake home energy audit. They hang up when I tell them I have asked them in the past to take me off of their call list. Does anybody really fall for this stupid scam????

Third phone call in two days from these idiot scammers trying to sell fake residential energy audits. Sigh. Isn't there anything that can be done to stop them?

Second time in a little over a month these thieves have called. Didn't answer the phone and they didn't leave a message. They can call all they want but I will never fall for their phony energy assessment scam.

Scammers trying to sell residential energy audits. Seems like these are the same people who called earlier trying to sell 8-by-10 color glossys of their owner having sex with barnyard animals.

They told me the same thing. I questioned the heck out of them. The company name is Alternative Solutions. They have someone come to your home and search for energy waste problems, give you recommendations from the Government for ways to improve your energy efficiency of your home and give you a list of State and/or Federal Incentives and Grants up to $6000. They say you could save up to 30% off your home energy costs. This is supposedly through the "Pace Program 2014".

Stupid scammers.  If you answer they hang up.

Just another group of call center flunkies and room temperature IQ managers running an energy audit scam. Idiots.

Got a call from this # today and the caller ID said FL Power Light, so I answered. The person on the other end of the line said they were calling in regards to an upcoming increase in Floridian's electric bills and wanted to see if we pre-qualify for federal help and started asking questions in regard to our home ownership. I told her I was not comfortable answering the personal questions and that I was not interested in receiving any federal assistance. She started to ask me another question, and then hung up on me in mid-sentence. It sounded like she was calling from a large call center as I could hear a lot of other people talking in the background. It's probably a spoofed number trying to scam people in to giving up their personal info.

SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM! These jokers are spoofing the caller ID. I received a call that said Florida Power and Light 407-321-6102. A voice started to recite a halting, canned announcement which sounded pre-recorded, about supposed up-coming hikes in energy prices... at which point I demanded who the F they were and declared that they weren't FPL. They hung up.

A couple minutes later I received another call from this number 407-413-8482. A different women , more practiced, asked the same question and asked if I still owned my home and she had the address. I stopped her and told that I wanted to be removed from her company's call list and demanded that they stop calling. She had hung up before I finished.

I recommend anyone who gets a call from these cretins keep them on the line long enough to establish their ID and sue the crap out of them. They are breaking the law.

They call constantly claiming they are from the electric company and they know our address. I've asked them repeatedly to stop calling (and usually hang up on them) but they just won't stop. Today, when I point blank asked if they were calling from our electric company (using the company's name), they first had the gall to say "yes" and then they quickly hung up.

not me, I'll ask them "who are you again?", and as soon as I heart what company I hang up while they're still talking, and that usually takes care they won't call me again cause I was so rude. lol

Lady called from this # said she was from the electric company and knew our address! asked to schedule a in home assessment, then hung up on me when I asked what company she was calling from. I did a reverse phone lookup from several different companies and received warning notices from all regarding this number!  

Call all you want you worthless scammers.  I'll never answer your f-ing calls and there's no way in Hell I'd ever invite you into my house.  Eat s*** and die.

Caller wanting to schedule energy assessment in regards to ALL Floridian's utility bills increasing in the near future...what pisses me off with this and other telemarketers is that if you say no..and are still talking they hang up~~I try to be understanding of them needing to work and be gracious! But, today I have been hung up on more than once & it pisses me off that this may stop me from answering a phone that I pay for!!!!!

Called and hung up. He said "This is Seminole County" and then disconnected. I called the number back and the line was busy.

9:15 call. Left no message. I don't answer unknown callers or even like to have answering machine  on.  It doesn't seem to matter that we are all harassed to death. It does seem that it's ok with the powers that be that we have no way to combat this. We should get a price reduction for every unknown or scam call received. To have to pay for this is absurd.

Called and hung up.  I've been told that this if often done to find out who is home during different times of day for various reasons.  Sometimes to sell your # as a good # for soliciting or could even be by thieves.  Something needs to be done about this.  If someone calls me they should not be able to do so anonymously.
