hi I just spent 30 minutes with these people and they are very persistent and called me at 0730 australia time. they tried really hard to get my  credit card details without any luck... they gave me a specific website and told me not to bother to google as it would"take too long". i did the exact opposite and found lots of these kind of warnings from people who have been caught out. they are very rehearsed. BEWARE!! if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is...... what hotel does not advertise and only use word of mouth...come on!!!!!

Call the bank now! If you haven't already.  They just called me at 07:00 (Australia) and had me on the phone for 20 minutes.... I smelled a rat early but wanted to see what they were up to.

As soon as I was transferred and they tried to get my credit card number and I said no and they hung up in my ear.

Beware..... these people are shady!  Hugs to those who have been stung!

Had a call from SLA promotions saying that we had been selected from a survey we had filled out at one of the American hotels we had stayed at  over the last year. Caller said it was a promotion for Ramada & Disney resorts Florida offering 2 weeks holiday. One week at Ramada Main Gate  and a 3day 2 night cruise in Caribean  plus 3days 2 nights at a Ramada hotel in Ft Lauderdale. I was then transferred to Robert from Ramada & Disney resorts who gave me more information.Told me it was a promotion and that we would have to attend a 90 minute presentation while there and agree to be in their advertisement. Sounded all above board so agreed. Was then transferred to Kate for verification she went through an agreement procedure, I then gave my card details and she gave me a confirmation number, an email address (customerservice@bahamasflorida.com) and a phone number (4074549534). Have sent them an email but haven't heard anything. This is a very elaborate scam beware.

Received a conference call from a Christopher Johnson who had actually rung my husband stating that he had been selected for this offer and as stated in earlier posts would only cost $690 US it sounded genuine but fortunately I saw this page and now know it to be a scam:D Thanks for posting this sight it has saved my husband and I from losing our hard earned cash!!!!:P

Received a call from "PLA promotions" promising 13 days holiday with Remada resorts for 4 people excluding air fares.
Required a credit card for US$690 processing fee.
Guy called "Curtis Patran" wanted details of credit card and when I refused got agitated and said I could not be "registered" without the credit card details.   I asked for a confirmation email of the competition and he said he couldn't confirm anything without the credit card number.

I searched the web for this promotion and found it listed here as a fraud so I hung up.

Looks like a front and probably is.

Just received a call from above number about a Florida Bahamas holiday, and gave card details with some pressure!Claimed to be Bahamas Florida Vacation Promotion of 451 East Commercial Boulevard Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33334.  Gary Bauers Travel Agent ID FLO140.

had a call from Gary Bauers Idno. fl0140 saying we had a holiday to florida ,orlando and fort lauderdale and cruise the bahamas on the carnival ship. cannot get in contact with this person or company.

Caller said my daughter had won a competition for a Florida Holiday for 4 people, including air fares.  She had entered the competition.   Website very "simple" and could be a front.  Said she had to "accept the prize" via e-mail.  Have not yet received e-mail.  Wasn't asked for any credit card or payment info or advised that there would be additional charges.
