Just got a text today about 2 tickets that I won?

Looks to me like a spam attack from China. Verizon has been hacked repeatedly over the last 3-4 years. Our account rep alerted us that we had $15,000 worth of phone bought and being shipped to various addresses on the East coast (NY, FL, NJ). she wanted to know if we could apply or email a request for increased credit line. I told her it was a scam and that our company of 120 staff members had no need for $15K worth of phones. Morons I tell ya.

It is close too a scam but not quite, it's a "Time Share/Travel Club" type marketing ploy.
You are told you have "won" free tickets, expensive items, or a trip as a prize.
To claim your prize, you will have to sit through high pressure one-on-one sales presentations for whatever they are selling, that may last hours. Even if you do buy into their sales pitch, your "prize" may still not be fully rewarded, as in you may have to pay upfront for the sold item or service or use/pay for said item or service for sometime before you get your "free prize".
If you do not buy into their sales pitch, you may get the "free prize" only if you pester them or follow up aggressively.
You then find out there are hidden fees or time/day restrictions that make the "free prize" nearly as or even costlier than if you just went and got the prize on your own. The expensive items may not be the actual item you were told (Like, it's not an iPad, but a cheap China knockoff "iPab"), or you may have to pay fees/taxes/shipping charges that make the cost nearly equal to buy one at your local store.
Typically these sales presentations are for Time Shares, Travel Clubs, or Buyers Clubs and the benefits of or restriction on using them are not worth the time and out of pocket expense.
Typically, you can find better deals by using a real time share/real estate agent, travel agency, or joining a Costco/Sam's Club on your own.

Got a message that I won two tickets.. Hmmm, far as I'm concerned it's a scam! You have to enter a contest to win something and I never entered any contest for a cruise or vacation! However, I did and suggest you do the same file the number with the FCC and file a claim for the $1,000 fine for every text they send!

Those fooled by the "free cruise" scammers, will be left, waiting at the dock, for a ship that never comes, while the scammers sail away with their credit card information!
